This report presents a thesis project at the School of Engineering, Jo?nko?pingUniversity, where the task has been to develop a proposal for a parish communitycentre for the Swedish church?s parish community in Bankeryd.Background1 st of November in 2004 the parish in Bankeryd appointed a special commissionof inquiry called Framtidsgruppen (Future Group), to analyse the parishcommunity?s different activities during the past 5 years and analyse the futureactivities and needs for the upcoming 5-10 years. This analysis would underlie theneeds of building a new centre for the parish community.Implementation, results and conclusionThe main focal points which this report is concentrated on has been to develop abuilding that is well suited for the activities, well adjusted for disabled persons andthe building shall be appealing in an architectural point of view.Based on the information provided from the parish community, studies ofliterature, reference objects and discussions with the contact person at the parishcommunity and the instructor of this project, the programming has beendeveloped. The building?s programming has been the source for the continuedwork with floor plans and the building design..

Millesgården is a museum on the island of Lidingö outside Stockholm. It contains the buildings which were the home and studios of the artist Carl Milles and his artist wife Olga. It also contains the grounds that originated as the garden of their home. Carl Milles later developed the garden into a sculpture park where a great part of the sculptors works are on display. In this report only the sculpture park is treated.

Idag sker det förtätningar i den urbana miljön vilket bidrar till en ökad andel hårdgjorda ytor inom dessa områden. Det är även ett växande fenomen inom villaområden att anlägga hårdgjorda ytor med ogenomsläppliga fogar på tomtens framsida. Vart tar det avrinnande dagvattnet från de hårdgjorda ytorna vägen och blir det några negativa följder av detta? Gräsarmering på villagator är ett kandidatarbete som är en renodlad litteraturstudie för att söka fakta om det är möjligt att anlägga gräsarmering inom ett villaområde med en begränsad hastighet upp till 30 km/h. Arbetet ger en grund för framtida studier inom området av dagvattenhantering inom villaområden eller vägar med en hastighetsbegränsning på 30 km/h. Problematiken med dagvattenhanteringen i våra samhällen har idag börjat bli en mer diskuterad och beprövad metod.
