Hur ser lärare och skolledare på de särbegåvade eleverna och hur beskrivs dessa elever i skolan? Fyra skolors syn på särbegåvade elever. Med särbegåvad menar vi de högpresterande elever i skolan, som har en extra begåvning i ett eller flera ämnen. Vi utgick ifrån skolledares och lärares syn på dessa elever. Vårt resultat visade att alla intervjupersoner ansåg att alla elever i skolan har någon form av begåvning.

The project ?Investment proposal for grinding station for service work of screw feeders? has been performed during the spring semester 2014 for the course Bachelor?s thesis for degree of  Bachelor of science in machine engineering at Karlstad?s University. The project has been performed in cooperation with Fiber Workshop which is a service department in the company Valmet AB. Valmet AB is a company that develops and manufacture soft paper tissue machines. The screw feeder is a part that is used to feed, and squeeze out the water out of woodchips.

Due to recent legal enactments regarding carbon dioxide emissions, the car industry is facing higher demands. An effective way of reducing these emissions is to minimize the weight of the vehicle. This thesis constitutes a feasibility study on whether or not it is applicable for the car industry to utilize an inner floor structure comprising composite materials. The principal was the projectSåNätt, in which the main participant was Volvo Cars Corp. In consultation with a reference group, consisting of delegates from the industry and KTH, a specification of requirements was produced.

During a fire large amounts of particles and unhealthy agents occur.  Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and toxic metals are examples among many others. These agents have a capacity to bond to particles and when the fire is extinguished, the particles can be transferred with the extinguish water into the soil and to the groundwater.Recent studies in particles have been conducted. A study by Ulrika Iverfelt (2014) reviled that the particles from a fire contained large amounts of both PAH and metals, which is consistent with earlier analyses. Her column experiments with particles in the size ? 11 microns and ?100 microns in silica sand, reviled that the larger particles was immobilized because the transportation was influenced by sieving or physiochemical particle and surface interactions.The transport of the particles in soil and groundwater is regulated by two main mechanisms: physiochemical surface interactions and straining.

Denna uppsats behandlar ledarskapet och den påverkan ett företagsförvärv har på denna. Syftet har varit att undersöka hur ett ledarskap påverkas i en viss riktning av ett företagsförvärv. En fallstudie av ett förvärvat företag har genomförts, där framförallt VD-positioner har varit delaktiga i det empiriska materialet, genom intervjuer. Teorin som använts är i första hand ledarskapsteorier, men även företagsförvärv behandlas. Några av de viktigaste slutsatser som kunnat dras är att det skett en förändring i ledarskapet, både det situationsanpassade ledarskapet och ledarskapsstil och att dessa har gått i den riktning mot vad teorin förespråkar..

Uppsatsens syfte har varit att studera vilka ord och uttryck som kan vålla svårigheter för andraspråkselever i deras karaktärsämnen på Omvårdnadsprogrammet, samt hur lärare och elever ställer sig till dessa svårigheter. Metoden har varit en kombination av ordkunskapstest,intervjuer och klassrumsobservationer. Utifrån dessa kan utläsas att eleverna har störst svårigheter med mindre frekventa ord och att det inte alltid är helt enkelt att fastställa vilka ord som vållar svårigheter för andraspråkselever och varför. Svårigheten ligger förmodligen inte alltid enbart i ordet i sig utan kan även påverkas av hur förhandlingen av ords innebörd går till och hur mycket språkutvecklande interaktion som förekommer i klassrummet.Lärarna i studien fokuserar i sin undervisning i första hand på ämnesspecifika ord och lämnarövriga till svenskämnet. Eleverna anser att lärarna förklarar på ett stressat och otillräckligt sätt, och väljer därför att på egen hand finna ords betydelser.

Piteå Summer Games är en av de största internationella fotbollsturneringarna för barn och ungdomar i Europa och den näst största i Sverige. Turneringen har spelats årligen sedan starten 1990. För att turneringen ska kunna genomföras krävs idag 1650 ideellt arbetande funktionärer inom olika ansvarsgrupper. En av dessa ansvarsgrupper, värdgruppen, tar hand om de utländska lagen som besöker turneringen. De senaste åren har gruppen, till och från, haft svårt att få ihop tillräckligt med lagvärdar för att nå Piteå Summer Games strävan efter att varje lagvärd endast ska behöva ta hand om ett lag och dessutom inneha språkkompetens som matchar lagets.

The primary function of a mixer is to keep a fluid in constant motion. All mixing applicationsrequire varying degrees of small-scale turbulence and bulk flow. The performance of asubmersible mixer is measured by the thrust that it produces, while the strength of the bulkflow is dependent on the total amount of installed thrust.In a mixer, the fluid quickly flows past the propeller, and as a result, the current is mainlyaxial. The fluid will also obtain a rotating velocity, or a swirl, though this is significantly lessthan that of the propeller. During the process, the total amount of energy increases in the formof static pressure and kinetic energy.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att slutresultatet skulle utmynna i en lärobok. Boken heter Bokstavens historia och grundläggande typografi och är tänkt i första hand för gymnasieelever som har en inriktning mot n´medie-ämnenoch speciellt de som har grafisk kommunikation. Boken består av två huvudteman. Den första delen behandlar den västerländska bokstavens historia och i den andra tar jag upp grundläggande typografi. För att sammanställa boken så har jag gjortlitteraturstudier för att få mer kunskap om bokstävernas historia och typografi.

The design of buildings is today considered to be crucial for obtaining sustainable development. Research concerning sustainable building is considered to be a Swedish area of strength and development projects as Hammarby Sjöstad and Bo01 are often pointed out as Swedish prime examples of sustainable building. Some still argue though, that that these projects should not be presented as sustainable, due to its incompetence to meet their objectives. This contradiction has attracted my curiosity. By doing this study I hope to gain understanding about the difficulties Bo01 and Hammarby Sjöstad are surrounded with and its significance for sustainable development.

This degree project has been carried out by Oscar Adolfsson and Marcus Blomqvist, during the spring of 2010, both studying to become Bachelor of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering, at Karlstad University. The degree project includes 22,5 credits.The work is done on behalf of Etac Supply Center AB in Anderstorp. Etac is a company developing and manufacturing home health care products, with operation in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England and Germany, and with sales worldwide. Bo Lindqvist, R & D manager has been the contact person at Etac.During the project the students has had a workplace at Semcon Caran AB in Karlstad. Semcon has also been helpful as a sounding board.The objective of the work has been developing a new, wall mounted shower chair, assigned for persons with difficulty to stand up while showering.Etacs requirement of the shower chair is that it should be able to support a user with a weight of 100 kg, the chair shouldn?t have any outrigger, optional should be armrests and backrest.
