At the same time the industry is showing alow awareness of logistics which has to increase in order to improve the industry in thesekind of questions. Projects located in the inner city have high demands on the logistic andthe handling of material due to the so often limited space for storages of the material. Dueto this the purpose of this report is true a case, study and analyze what kind of factors thereis to take into consideration during the materials way from the supplier to the workstationin a project located in the inner city. The data for the report was collected with the help of acase study, and in three different ways.

Som trafikant får man många gånger sitt första ? och kanske enda ? intryck av en stad vid förbifartens trafikplatser. Här återfinns ofta brytpunkter både för körmönster och stadsmönster. Vid trafikplatsen ändras förutsättningarna för bilisterna och deras upplevelse av trafikmiljön och här delar förbifarten stadsbygd från landsbygd. Detta arbete handlar om hur man kan förbättra intrycket av en stads entré genom fysiska gestaltningsåtgärder. Arbetet syftar till att skapa en metod för att tydliggöra färden till trafikplatsen och vidare in mot staden och göra den till en regisserad resa genom rum.

Psychological research concerning correction of stereotypes has mainly focused on how individuals adjust their negative attitude towards the out-group due to the apprehension of appearing prejudiced in front of out-grouprepresentatives. This study though, does not deal with estimations of the qualities of the out-group; it deals with estimations of the qualities of the in-group. Does Swedes correct their estimations of their own group when the experiment leader is of another ethnicity and has a different colour of skin? The participants were students at Halmstad Högskola and they were all born and raised in Sweden. Half the participants got to meet a Swedish born, white skinned experiment leader, whereas the other group got to meet an African born, dark skinned experiment leader.

Uppsatsens huvudsakliga syfte är att undersöka hur två olika organisationer skiljer och liknar varandra i önskan om ledarskapsegenskaper, detta utifrån de tre olika arenorna rekrytering, utbildning och ledarskap. I denna rapport kommer vi att studera organisationerna Försvarsmakten samt Sony Ericsson, där Försvarsmakten kommer representerar en strukturerad organisation och Sony Ericsson en projektorganisation. Med hjälp av intervjuer både på Försvarsmakten i Halmstad och Sony Ericsson i Lund har vi fått svar på frågor kring rekrytering, utbildning och ledarskap. Det som gör jämförelsen intressant är skillnaden i organisationsformerna på de två olika företagen Försvarsmakten samt Sony Ericsson. Vi har efter granskning av data fått fram att de båda organisationerna strävar efter liknande egenskaper med på skilda sätt. På grund av organisationernas olika strukturer och organisatoriska uppbyggnad går man olika vägar för att hitta en ledare men i slutändan kan man se att processerna liknar varandra.

AbstractSyftet med vårt examensarbete var att undersöka om pedagoger upplever att fysisk aktivitet påverkar barns koncentrationsförmåga. Detta skulle vi försöka ta reda på genom en kvantitativ enkätundersökning i en kommun i Västra Sverige. Enkätundersökningen utförde vi på 10 olika skolor i kommunen. 5 av dessa är hälsofrämjande skolor och 5 skolor är inte uttalat hälsofrämjande. 2003 kom det ett läroplanstillägg gällande fysisk aktivitet som säger att skolan skall sträva efter att erbjuda alla elever daglig fysisk aktivitet under skoldagen.

Syftet med detta arbete är att belysa hur undervisning om hållbar utveckling (UHU) integreras på gymnasieskolan. UHU är ett komplicerat perspektiv som enligt styrdokumenten skall finnas med i den gymnasiala undervisningen. Det har därmed varit intressant att se hur verkligheten motsvarar dessa mål. Det som arbetet har fokuserat på är hur lärare och rektorer tolkar perspektivet, hur det tillämpas i undervisningen, vilken betydelse styrdokumenten har för UHU samt vilka förutsättningar som styrningssystemet ger lärarna för att integrera UHU. Den empiriska delen av arbetet består av kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare och rektorer från två gymnasieskolor i Halmstad.

Together with Hälsoteknikalliansen the project team recognized the need to improve availability in the staircase environments. This is a difficult environment, especially for our elderly. The staircase leading to and from apartments is such a major obstacle that many people do not dare to go into the staircase leading to their front door. The market study that the project team conducted showed that many were in need of a living support, often a relative, who helped and supported them when they went into these stairs. It also appeared that these people manage everyday life just fine, but they suffer the problems that stairs to and from their apartment causes.

If Sweden want to be able to compete internationally with its production capacity,it is important to work actively with production development and production ofresource-and time-efficient. This report is a bachelor thesis of 15 hp conducted atthe University of Halmstad. Using the principles of continuous improvement andLean Production, the author developed a concept for HAGS Aneby AB to changeto the customer order driven assembly of spring toys.First of all, the theories of Lean Production, logistics and ergonomics are used tobuild and present a theoretical framework for further examination. Then, toachieve the target, the current assembly process is analyzed to develop some firstconceptual ideas for improvement. In order to develop the best advice, theconcepts are evaluated against the company?s requirementsThe developed action plan gives recommendations on how the company shouldrestructure their assembly process and the organization of the related departmentin order to produce spring toys in a more time efficient and lean way.

This study is a qualitative study based on a constructivist approach. Meanwhile, it draws on an ethnographic approach combined a working memory based on memories in various events that took place three years in a former student in the program for sociology and social development. Mainly qualitative interviews are essential for the empirical material analyzed. The study is based on interviews of five college students with an ethnic origin other than swedish at Halmstad University, four women and one man. The aim is to look at how college students with an ethnic origin other than swedish relate to the representations of ethnicity.

Hälsoteknikcentrum Halland arbetar i olika projekt för att ta fram nya tekniska lösningar på problem inom sjukvården, tillsammans med representanter från Hallands sjukhus Halmstad tog de fram problemställningen med den medicinska avfallshanteringen. Idag upplever sjuksköterskor och vaktmästare att hanteringen av operationsavfall är en obehaglig arbetsuppgift då den innebär att handskas med kontaminerat avfall, sjukhuset är därför måna om att ta fram en produkt som komprimerar avfallet, vilket skulle förbättra arbetsmiljön.Produkten ska komprimera 150-liters säckar med avfall från operationer, detta ska ske på ett användarvänligt sätt utifrån specifika krav. Kravspecifikationen togs fram i samråd med sjukhuspersonal. Genom olika experiment undersöktes flera olika metoder för att komprimera en säck, den mest lämpliga metoden för ändamålet blev att pressa säcken. Efter att ha utvecklat idén till en fungerande metod konstruerades det en prototyp.

The investigation is a pre-study which has the primary goal to evaluate technical and financial offers from companies that manufacture primary air preheater, and investigate if it is technically and financially profitable to do a purchase on primary air preheaters in the future.In the pre-study it is proposed that it is most efficient to have individual primary air preheater, one for each incineration boiler and the primary air are also proposed to be preheated by hot water in the pre-study. Further in the pre-study it is proposed that the heat-exchanger should have plain tubes instead of finned tubes, to avoid getting dirty fast. The space in the boiler-room is limited, and therefore the major problem was to fit in the primary air preheaters into the boiler-room. By comparing the different offers from the companies, the result in the pre-study shows that the offer from the company C.A.

With a growing population on earth the amount of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and other scrap steel increases. The European Directive 2000/53/CE? requires a minimum of 95 % reuse and recovery and 85 % re-use and recycling no later than 1 January 2015, for end-of life vehicles. This imposes a need for more efficient recycling and recovery. Despite this shredder residue (SR) is commonly land filled.This report investigated the magnetic fines residue generated at Stena Metall shredder facility in Halmstad, Sweden.
