This master thesis is performed at Scania Axles and Gearboxes, a production plant located in Södertälje. Within the plant axles, gearboxes as well as central gears are assembled from components to finished products. All production is conducted on production lines, with a pre-determined rate, which is supplied with components by the material handling department. Since the production quantity and the mix of product variants produced on the production line is customer order-based, the number and type of components needed for production as well as appropriate staffing within the material handling department is difficult to predict. Scania is currently using a number of different resource planning tools for each material handling-department within Axles and Gearboxes to visualize the workload within the departments.

På ett vis är grupper för organisationen vad elden var för våra förfäder, om de förstås och används rätt, utgör de anmärkningsvärt kraftfulla och flexibla verktyg: om de missförstås eller används felaktigt blir de destruktiva krafter. Likt elden kan grupper skapas eller uppstå spontant, och i likhet med elden är de farligast när de ignoreras. Syftet med uppsatsen är att identifiera förbättringsområden inom en organisations verksamhet som ska prioriteras, där ett förbättringsområde ska vidarutvecklas inom ett projekt. Det förbättringsområde som valts är att analysera hur den administrativa enheten kan bli en dynamiskt fungerande arbetsgrupp samt att ta fram verktyg och strategier för hur det ska gå till utifrån målen:1)      Vad medarbetarna upplever är bra2)      Vad medarbetarna kan utveckla3)      Hur gruppen kan arbeta vidare som gruppsamt för att få svar på mina inledningsfrågor: vilka faktorer påverkar att jag som människa/medarbetare känner att jag tillhör en arbetsgrupp som når resultat och är en del av min helhet? Vad är det gruppen behöver för att kunna uppnå effekten av att vara en väl fungerande och dynamisk arbetsgrupp. För att uppnå syftet och målet har en fallstudie genomförts där samtliga medarbetare i den administrativa enheten har fått besvara en enkät/frågeformulär vid ett gemensamt tillfälle. Enkäten har bestått av både öppna och fasta frågor och utgör kvalitativ forskning.

This report is commissioned by the Water and Sewage Agency in The City of Mariehamn, Åland. The basic aim is to investigate positive or negative effects of a relocation of the sewage pipe from a wastewater treatment plant, Lotsbroverket. The environmental licence of Lotsbroverket is to be revised and The Environmental Appeal Board at Åland?s Government and Administrative Board has made demands that several possible locations in an outer water area should be examined. The present location of the sewage pipe is in Svibyviken, which has been classified as an ?inner water area?.The objective of this work is to study to which extent the nutrient loading from Lotsbroverket influence the environmental conditions in Svibyviken, and to investigate the suitability of different locations of the wastewater pipe from Lotsbroverket.The way a coastal area looks, i.e., its morphometry, determines to a large extent its ecological characteristics.

Traditionally, the majority of Swedish public libraries have carried out most of their acquisitions through Bibliotekstjänst's binding booklets. In recent years, however, many libraries have complemented the binding booklets and other services from Bibliotekstjänst by other ways of acquiring books, such as Internet bookshops, while other libraries have stopped using the binding booklets altogether. There are various reasons for this development, such as Information Technology making it possible for librarians to compare prizes and services from different retailers. Another important reason is the need for public libraries to meet new needs from their patrons, while remaining on a restrained budget, which often causes a need for reorganization of staff and resources.As a way of meeting the new needs for libraries, Bibliotekstjänst has created Profile Services (profiltjänster), a service in which a library outsources its acquisitions to Bibliotekstjänst. The staff of the library, in dialogue with Bibliotekstjänst, design a profile for the acquisitions for the library in question, in order to determinate which types and genres of literature the library and its patrons are requesting.

The company is split into for different regions: the north region, the middle region, the southwest region, and the southeast region and has its headquarter in Stockholm.

Due to an increasing global market with a growing competition and an escalating technologydevelopment the demands on companies today are increasing. To maximise the output fromtheir recourses they need to be more efficient. The research on product development and how toensure the efficiencies in the process are extensive and companies could by adapting andimplementing the result of this research use its benefits.This master thesis is made for Knightec AB with the aims that through interviews anddiscussions with three companies investigate, collate, justify and give proposals for productdevelopment process together with supporting methods and procedures for technical projectmanagement. Besides Knightec AB three other companies located in Sweden has beenparticipating in this study. Through semi structured interviews and discussions in focus groupsinformation from the three involved companies were obtained.

This report was written as a final thesis within the Department of forest economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences as a completion of the M.SC Forestry programme. The aim of this study was to create a model that, with respect to given stock levels, temperature, fuel usage and fuel price, would identify the optimal levels for purchase of bio fuels, optimal levels of incineration of bio fuels and the sum of the present values of all costs. The model would be applicable for a larger district heating plant. Data regarding temperature were received from SMHI. Information considering fuel prices was taken from the Swedish Forest Agency and the facts about fuel usage were collected from a large district heating plant, located in the southwest of Sweden. For the temperature, a sinus curve was adapted to describe the temperature over a year.

One of the distinguishing features of successful societies is the ability to adapt to change, bothsocial but also natural changes like climate change. Climate change is a complex, dynamic,non-linear process with a great deal of uncertainty concerning the time perspective, risks andconsequences. A combination of factors like climate change, geographical vulnerability, adensely populated and highly built up coast line along with factors like deficient handling ofsurface runoff and a large usage of ground water leads to an increasingly vulnerable society. Italso puts a greater pressure on the society to have preventive measures in place.The number of actors working with preparing society to the expected impacts of climatechange and variability is increasing. However more than half of Sweden?s municipalities donot consider changing climatic conditions when planning, and many times even allow theconstruction of new living areas in known climatically vulnerable areas.

Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the European Union are currently facing many challenges one being access to financing due to high risk and probability of default, another being cross-border taxation issues with double taxation and information asymmetry. Since the aim within the EU is to be the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world with sustainable economic growth and social cohesion it is essential that the EU operates as a single market. Despite this need, harmonization continues to be far from achieved in the area of direct taxation which also affects the integration and growth opportunities for SMEs. In the Agenda for Entrepreneurship, the Home State Taxation regime, which is based on formula apportionment, has been proposed by the Commission as one option in order to mutually recognize the different Member States? taxation systems to facilitate cross-border activities and reduce ?red-tape?.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka likheter och skillnader i undervisningen som finns mellan en grundsärskoleklass och en grundskoleklass. Undersökningens metod är strukturerade observationer genomförda av två observatörer i en grundskoleklass och i en särskoleklass på samma skola. Olika aspekter av undervisningen observerades, av vilka några kan anses utgöra förutsättningar för en inkluderande undervisning. Dessa är: samarbete mellan pedagoger i undervisningen, ledarskapsmodeller, cooperativt lärande (samarbetsinlärning), dynamisk pedagogik samt samarbete mellan pedagoger i problemlösande undervisning. Resultatet visar på likhet mellan de båda skolformerna beträffande användandet av en organismisk modell med ett demokratiskt ledarskap, där grundsärskolans pedagoger endast använder det aningen mer frekvent än grundskolans pedagoger.

Th is thesis is about how to create communicative images. It is mainly for landscape architects. With communicative images, I mean images created with the purpose to communicate a proposal or idea in a direct way to. By only looking at the image, the viewer should get an idea of what the proposal entails. A communicative image should also create an interest in the proposal.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att a) kartlägga vilka former av vänskap som i praktiken förekommer mellan revisorer och uppdragsgivare på mindre orter i Sverige samt b) skapa/utveckla en teoretisk modell för vilka former av vänskap som är acceptabla inom teori, praktik och lagens råmärken.Metod och teori: Författarna har för att uppnå studiens syfte använt sig av en kvalitativ metod där fem revisorer från tre mindre orter intervjuats om deras syn på bland annat vänskapshotet. Som teoretisk referensram har författarna använt sig av gällande lagstiftning och teorier inom området oberoende, samt en modell för vänskapsnivåer från tidskriftsartikeln Friendship networks through time: An actor-oriented dynamic statistical network model, Van De Bunt G.G. (1999).Sammanfattande slutsats: Relationen mellan revisor och kund på mindre orter har visat sig vara en mycket svårfrånkomlig problematik. Hotet ökar med långvariga uppdrag där en relation mellan revisor och kund ter sig ofrånkomlig. En strikt yrkesmässig relation med ett absolut oberoende mellan revisor och uppdragsgivare är en utopisk syn på verkligheten.

Över hela världen pågår en kraftig urbanisering och idag lever mer än hälften av alla människor i städer. Många utvecklingsländer hinner inte med att generera hållbara och alternativa försörjningsmetoder till den allt större urbana befolkningen. Allt fler lever i en tillvaro som präglas av fattigdom. Kraftfulla planeringsstrategier krävs för att förbättra dessa människors levnadsförhållanden och därmed också verka för en hållbar utveckling. Uppsatsen presenterar det urbana jordbruket som en i dessa avseenden möjlig strategi. Urbant jordbruk finns i alla städer och har gjort det i alla tider.

Introduktion: Patientsäkerhet är en viktig fråga inom hälso- och sjukvården. Vårdskadorna kostar inte bara samhället stora summor varje år utan även de drabbade onödigt lidande. Sjuksköterskor är den yrkeskategori som står patienterna närmast och innehar kunskaper om faktorer som påverkar patientsäkerheten. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av vad som påverkar patientsäkerheten på slutenvårdsenheterna på en medicinklinik.Metod: Studien genomfördes i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer som analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Som teoretisk referensram har Jean Watsons omvårdnadsteori använts.
