This thesis has treated a three-axis robot which task is to serve a larger test machine tomove the modules to be tested, from the storage to the test site. The robot is composed ofthree linear actuators; two standard components of ball screw type and a custom-builtactuator of trapezoidal type. The work has mainly focused on the custom-built device to seeif it could be replaced with a standard component. Part of the work has been to look into thepicking tool and to see if there are any possibilities to improve its function.The report presents two different proposals which I decided to call Robot 1 and Robot 2 andthey aim to address the problems arising in the purpose-built linear unit and the X-axislinearity problems. Robot 1 focuses on eliminating the problems that arise around therobot's X-axis, with such simple means as possible and without making excessive materialchanges.

The purpose of this master thesis was to examine how the corporations quoted on the A-list on the Stockholm Stock Exchange were affected by the introduction of IFRS 3 Business Combinations. Their opinion about the accounting rule and the acquired goodwill in particular was focused as well. The authors wanted to see if there were any changes in ROE, return on equity, after the introduction of the new accounting standard.Data for this study was collected through interviews, questionnaires and annual reports. Interviews were held with corporate accounting managers of Assa Abloy, WM-data, Electrolux, Ericsson and SCA. Questionnaires were sent by e-mail to 50 companies and were answered by 30 of them.

Redovisningsbranschen är en av många branscher som kommit att standardiseras för att möta nya krav och behov. Ett steg i och med detta är att professionen redovisningskonsult kommit att bli en befattning som utvecklats stort under de senare åren. Ett steg i utvecklingen för tjänsten var auktorisering av redovisningskonsulter samt utvecklingen av Svensk standard för redovisningstjänster, Reko, som gemensamt utfärdats av FAR och Sveriges Redovisningskonsulters Förbund (SRF). Detta innebär att man som auktoriserad redovisningskonsult måste följa Reko och på så sätt försäkras uppdragsgivare om att det finns kvalitet i redovisningen.

XML erbjuder möjligheter att utveckla egna element, attribut och entiteter samt möjligheter att definiera egna dokumentstrukturer.XML tar sikte på att implementeras i webbtillgängliga gränssnitt och kommer i sådana system även att få en datalagrande funktion, åtminstone enligt hur XML-standarden för närvarande är definierad. I detta sammanhang är det därför intressant att jämföra XML med de befintliga RDBHS som sedan ett flertal år bygger upp datalagrande funktioner i webbtillgängliga gränssnitt. Denna rapport redogör för ett projekt där XML prövats som datalagringsteknik och då ur perspektiv av ett RDBHS-baserat och webbtillgängligt prototypsystem.Resultatet visar att XML inte kan implementeras på motsvarande sätt som RDBHS och att XML som datalagringsteknik bör ifrågasättas.

To counteract the experience, there is a possibility to integrate internal audit with improvements in company?s processes. Theory has shown that a qualified and competent auditor can provide information that can help the organization's managements to make the right decisions that will improve product quality and result in new customer contracts.An opportunity to observe an internal and external audit at one of the case companies gave rise to this study.

This is the end report of my final exam at Medieteknik. It covers the planning, work process and review of a Flash based web application that I set out to do. The goal was to create a user friendly, interactive e-shop with embedded functionality for playing music, displaying rich media content and researching possible payment solutions, to enable buying music files online. The project involved creating the user interface, the programmatic functionality of a Flash client (an SWF file). Also, setting up an Apache HTTP Server and establishing a working ?bridge? between the Flash client and the web server with Flash Remoting components and AMFPHP.

In a database environment, when you create or alter tables you often want to have a basic interface for standard operations such as insert, delete and update. This thesis report covers an analysis of what programs there are on the market for generating such interfaces and compares them against the demands of a real company. The analysis showed that none of the programs were completely meeting the requirements and therefore an own implementation of an interface generating program was created. The result is a PL/SQL program capable of generating files, storing them in a version handling system and executing the files into the database..
