Rapporten redogör för ett examensarbete på kandidatnivå som utförts på Industridesigninstitutionen på Konstfack. Projektet har handlat om att ta fram ett koncept för en datorväska där väskan kan anpassas för den mängd saker som användaren vill ta med just för dagen. Fokus för projektet har varit att titta på de generellabehoven användarna har för att bära med sig en bärbar dator och övriga tillhörigheter, de önskvärda funktionerna hos en möjlig produktlösning för just de behoven och hur mötet mellan den organiska kroppen, användaren, och den fyrkantiga tekniken skulle kunna gestaltas i konceptet.Målgruppen har under hela projektets gång varit alla människor som bär på en bärbar dator dagligen. Under projektets gång har dock fokus hamnat på att gestalta konceptet utifrån det, för de personer som intervjuats, viktiga estetiska uttrycket i en likvärdig produkt för detta projekt. Genomgripande för alla intervjuade var önskemålet att produkten skulle vara representativ och värdeord som använts i processen har varit anpassningsbar, stram och funktionell.Arbetsprocessen var uppdelad i en kartläggningsfas, en gestaltningsfas bestående av två skissfaser, en definitionsfas och slutligen en modellbyggesfas.

Då jag under min utbildning stött på buxbom som art och har trädgårdsdesign som inriktning så kändes det helt rätt att ta upp dessa häckar som ett strålande exempel på hållbar trädgårdsdesign. Inte bara jag och ca 10 000 besökare blir imponerade av dessa utan redan 1749 då Linné genomförde sin berömda Skånska resa blev han så överväldigad att han skrev:Buxbomshäcken sågs här i trädgården så präktig, att jag aldrig sett den härligare, så vida jag någonsin rest, och kan han väl räknas för ett av Sveriges sällsamma ting, som giver det tydeligaste prov av Skånes härliga klimat. Han var klippt av Buxus arborescens, 3 alnar hög och 3 alnar bred, alltså i fyrkant, men mycket lång och var dessutan så tät, att icke den minsta öppning fanns därpå. Buxbomen kom troligtvis i början på 1500-talet till Norden och 100 år senare tros de första häckarna blivit planterade på godset i samband med att det nuvarande slottet byggdes. De renässansvindar som då blåste knöt samman växtmaterialet med den plats och det utryck som häckarna fick.Alla anläggningar av denna kaliber har på ett eller annat sätt stött på problemet med kostsam skötsel.

Today, a large proportion of wood supplied for the Swedish forest industry is bought from private forest owners while forest companies at the same time provide the forest owners with services such as logging services and transportation. Today, forest companies work extensively with keeping the time used for transport and logging short. But what does the private forest owners think about the time required for the timber deal, also called lead time, and the different parts of the timber deal. In this thesis, the forest owners? perception of the different lead times in their contracts with Stora Enso and their communication with the purchasers is examined.

This project explores how artificial landscapes as parks and squares above ground can save space by using the vertical voids in urban environments and how they can create spatial and social as well as ecological qualities and connections. Hybrid landscapes are a phenomenon of current interest within the field of architecture and urbanism. Architecture as surface, where facades and roofs become possible to tread, is a relatively recent occurence that has over the past few years become an increasingly common sight in architectural magazines and on international architecture exhibitions. Many of my selected reference projects have often been associated with sensational contemporary design trends generated by advanced computer software. But the phenomenon is also a result of other different currents of change that exist within today?s society, such as densified cities with a lack of open space, which is also expressed in architecture.

The incineration of waste is steadily increasing in Sweden and so is the production ofashes. The bottom ash has for many years been used as construction material inlandfills. Now many of the nation's landfills are closed and there is a great need to findanother beneficial use for the ash. Bottom ash is a gravel-like material and with itsmaterial properties it can replace natural gravel in parts of roads and surfaceconstructions. Today this use is only approved within landfill areas where leachate iscollected and checked.

Den här uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att undersöka uppfattningar kring internationellt resande och miljöproblematiken. Vidare har uppsatsen två delsyften som är att undersöka uppfattningar och kunskap om hållbarhet och turismens och det internationella resandets effekter på miljön, samt att undersöka hur miljömedvetenhet och miljöansvar skiljer sig åt beroende på kontext, i vardagen och på resa.Uppsatsen utgår från teori inom två fält; hållbar utveckling och hållbar turism, samt turistbeteende och miljöansvar. I den del där hållbar utveckling och hållbar turism behandlas ges en bakgrund av begreppens utveckling och definitioner. Vidare fördjupas den miljömässiga dimensionen av hållbar turism och behandlar specifikt turismens globala miljöeffekter i form av klimatförändringar. I kapitlets andra del presenteras teori kring konsumentbeteende inom turism och diskuterar även turisternas roll i miljöproblematiken.Uppsatsens empiriska del utfördes genom en kvalitativ studie i form av intervjuer med tio respondenter från den svenska 80-talistgenerationen och som tillhörde en medelrörlig grupp som har rest utomlands minst två gånger under det senaste året.Studiens resultat visar att det finns en medvetenhet om resandets negativa effekter på miljön, men att detta inte har någon större påverkan på beslut om var och hur man väljer att resa.

Svenska (engelska se nedan) Detta examensarbete är ett vårdprogram över Österby bruks köksträdgård. Österby bruk är beläget i norra Uppland cirka fem mil norr om Uppsala. Redan på 1500-talet började järnindustri växa fram på Österby. Österbys järnindustri kom att pågå fram till nedläggningen av Österbyverkan 1983. Dagens köksträdgård tillkom i och med den omgestaltning av hela herrgårdsanläggningen som startade på mitten av 1700-talet.

The aim of this Bachelor essay is to examine the portrayal of women and men constructed in two textbooks aimed for religious studies. The aim is also to examine how the image relates to the curriculum directives on gender equality. The theory consists of gender theory based on work by Catharina Raudvere, Jeanette Sky and Yvonne Hirdman. Previous research on gender and textbooks has shown that male perspective often dominates and that the female perspective is insertions in the rest of the text.?Genustrappan? (gender stairs) are used as analysis method.

The landscape can be something that you rest your eyes on, something that goes quickly past outside the windscreen or the place for the daily work. To me, landscape is everything around us ? the city, the field and the forest. But what is landscape for you? What does the idea of the landscape stand for? How does our view of the landscape become influenced of the place where we grow up? And the differences between peoples different views of the landscape ? what does they depend on? My point of the view for this paper is that the landscape ideals mostly depend on the landscape where you grow up and that it depends less on the differences between the individuals. As a landscape architect the idea of the landscape is the essential. The more we learn, the more we realize how complex it is, but deep down we always have our own experiences and memories and that shapes our personalities.

For years the northern parts of Sweden, Norrland (translated: North land) has been considered mystified and exotified by the southern, more urban parts of the country. The rural Norrland ? though 60 percent of Sweden ? is seldom a part of the common conversation, meaning that most of the people living in the southern parts simply have no idea what is happening in the north. The one million people living in Norrland, on the other hand, every day gets to know what happens in the south on the evening news. The question about this possible structural relation between the urban and the rural became a large matter of cultural debate in the spring of 2015, If this thesis is true, we have a problem on our hands; can the national news be considered national if half the country is misrepresented? That question is what this essay is trying to find out by analyzing two of Swedens largest national newspapers.

A high quality is highly requested in today?s thinnings, since these are the base for continued value development of the forests. Thinning quality often means a minimization of damages on soil, stems and roots during the cutting. One way to reach a high quality is to set up goals that will be followed up after the cutting is made. Self-checking gives information of the machine drivers work and guarantees the customers a good quality of work.

During the last year?s Swedish agriculture have had difficult times, with decreasing prices and at the same time increasing production costs, which has led to bad profitability and faith in the future. The dairies in Sweden have also had a rough time and there have been large rationalizations during the years. In the beginning of the 20th century there were almost 1700 diaries in the Swedish countryside. There has been a large technical development during the 20th century resulting in a decrease in diaries to only 46 in the whole country today. They are owned by 15 diary companies, of which 7 large and dominate on the market and the rest are small-scale companies. With this development the confidence and feeling for the diary companies also has decreased.

Declining union memberships are a fact in both Sweden and Finland. At the same time, the autonomous labour market parties and the high membership rates are the most significant factors for the two countries compared to Europe and the rest of the world. These two factors have in turn been developed and strengthened since the beginning of the twentieth century. By autonomous labour market parties I refer to the fact that the labour market parties themselves through collective bargaining are agreeing on the labour market conditions, without interference from the government.This paper is therefore taking it's stance in the question of what happens with the autonomous labour market parties when the membership rates are in decline. With this in mind, this paper describes the judicial development, the collective agreement and labour market structures, the legal consequences of collective agreements and the opportunities of industrial and sympathy action in both Sweden and Finland. The two countries' systems of labour law have caught some negative attention, hence two of the most discussed cases of recent years are given some attention as well. The collective judicial conditions are very similar in both Sweden and Finland regarding the labour market main actors' collaboration, the collective agreement structures and legal consequences and the opportunities of industrial and sympathy action.

Stockholm is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Its population is growing every day and the housing needs are becoming higher. Despite the growth and the need for more houses only a few new housing units are being built every year. Critics argue that if the building rate stays as it is today the development of the city will be very limited since there is no capacity for the city to embrace new incomers.The decision makers in the municipality of Stockholm are planning for large investments in housing units for the coming years up until 2030. There are plans of building approximately 140 000 new apartments to mend the ascending need for new houses.Farsta County is part of Stockholm and lies a few kilometers to the south of the city center.

The purpose of this study is to establish how a few youngsters have experienced their time in contact families and which, if any, significance their respective ?contact families? has for them today. The study aims to determine the life situation in the youth?s families at the time support through ?contact families? was initiated and the youths? own view of the reasons for this support. We also want to shed light on the meaning that the contact families had on the youth; considering both positive as well as negative meaning.
