The purpose of my study is to describe how educators think about the play environment, the nature and its importance for the children's development and learning in preschool. The study is based on qualitative interviews with four active educators. The results of the study show that the teachers regarded the children's interests to a great extent when the different play environments were structured. They are also based on different themes that they have seen that the children were interested in, such as the fire station, hair salon or shop and café. Educators designing not only these play areas for different types of play for the children, but the different environments also have a learning purpose. The outdoor environment however attracts greater interest from children, to where they have more space to move freely in and outdoors, there are no limits to the children.

The sun is a huge energy source with great potential of providing energy to the heating of homes and other buildings in an environmentally sustainable manner. In order to provide buildings with energy from the sun it is necessary to transfer the energy supply over time to when the demand arises. By storing the heat in a seasonal storage, solar energy from the summer can be used in the winter when the demand for heating is greatest.Today's existing plants are mainly in Europe and particularly in Germany. These facilities are designed to supply heat demands greater than 400 MWh and covers about 40-50 % of this need which consists of energy for space heating and domestic hot water. How much of the heat demand that is covered, the solar fraction, is partly due to losses from the storage which in turn is connected to the surface area of the storage.

Eftersom transportsektorn står för en stor del av den totala miljöpåverkan är det viktigt att logistikföretagen tar ett miljömässigt ansvar och arbetar med så kallad grön logistik. På grund avde ökade avstånden vid global handel och ökade bränslepriser är det viktigt med miljövänliga alternativ. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur de globala logistikföretagen bedriver sitt miljöarbete, främst kring transporterna. Detta sker genom en studie av vetenskapliga artiklar och intervjuer med miljöansvariga hos Schenker, DHL och Green Cargo.

Då artificiella intelligenta agenter försöker navigera i en virtuell värld med statiska hinder så behöver dess väg beräknas. För denna beräkning används ett lager som beskriver hur och vart agenten kan röra sig i världen kallat för sökrymd. Detta kan göras på flera olika sätt vilket ger skillnad i prestanda och minnesåtgång samt indirekta fördelar genom sättet sökrymden är uppbyggd på. Genom att jämföra dessa skillnader i olika miljöer så kan resultatet påvisa vilka egenskaper sökrymdstyperna ger i de olika miljöerna.Rapporten visar att n-sidat polygonbaserat navigationsnät ger mycket bra egenskaper i de olika mätningarna och ger även flera fördelar på grund av dess utformning som gör att det kan anpassa sig bra till olika miljöer..

This thesis in Art History and Visual Science is about values to graffiti and graffiti artist Banksy. I have studied values relating to Banksy´s graffiti images through which context they are placed in and where they are located. I have selected two different images of Banksy as an example on the basis of a transnational phenomenon, where the images that circulate in the public arena by street art and other images and imported into the galleries and consumption market. My conclusion is that the values of the images are based on the context in which each room have its surroundings and that therefore the impression will increase. The public space context, signal availability and the white cube context indicates art, and the commercial context signals goods and items that can be bought.

Today the common people begin to understand the impact of a package. Many choose brand or product with great emphasis on how the outside looks, both in a good and a bad way.The company Gotlands Grafiska gave me the task to create a small basic selection of packages. The target group that the project was based on was craftsmen in the Gotland region. Based on analysis of the market and consumers to develop a range of packages covering a wide range of products sold on the island.During the project a clear theme was the desire to highlight a product and create some sort of exclusivity. It was important to understand how consumers and businesses think about packaging and its function.The result was five different packages, which together cover much of the need for the Gotland crafts and souvenir market.

Denna rapport beskriver VisMT 2. VisMT 2 är en programvara som utvecklats som ett examensarbete av Daniel Peterson vid Linköpings Universitet i samarbete med organisationen NVIS (Norrköpings Visualiserings och Interaktionsstudio).Målsättningen för VisMT 2 var att skapa en enkel och kraftfull mjukvara som på ett innovativt sätt synliggör resultat och prestanda för butiker i detaljhandelskedjor. Vidare sattes målet att programmet skulle grunda sig i ett explorativt gränssnitt där användaren kan undersöka butiksrelaterade data i både spatial och temporalplanet.Programmet gavs ett gränssnitt med sammanlänkade vyer. Interaktion i en vy ger återkopplingar för relaterade data i en annan vy i realtid.Programmet utvecklades i C# .NET och använder Managed DirectX för att generera 3D-grafik. Det slutgiltiga resultatet uppfyller väl den målsättning som skapades vid projektets inledning.

Syfte: Syftet är att studera statligt ägda företags inställning till integrerad redovisning och <IR> ramverket som publicerades i december 2013. Vidare är syftet att undersöka vad företagen tror ligger till grund för behovet av ett nytt sätt att redovisa, samt få en insikt i hur statligt ägda företag ser på en framtid för integrerad redovisning.Metod: En kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer har använts för att besvara studiens syfte.Empiri: Empirin har samlats in via sju intervjuer med respondenter från statligt ägda företag. De företag som medverkat är PostNord, Samhall, Green Cargo, TeliaSonera, Svensk exportkredit, Swedfund och Almi.Slutsats: De statligt ägda företag som deltagit i studien har en övergripande positiv inställning till integrerad redovisning och till <IR> ramverket. Företagen uppger att det funnits ett behov av att redovisa och förmedla en mer rättvisande bild av organisationen som helhet. Resultatet av studien visar vidare att <IR> ramverket innebär en del utmaningar och möjligheter samt att företagen tror på en framtid för integrerad redovisning..

The curious nature of humans has been the puzzle of psychologists, philosophers and scientists since the time we began to use those terms. Why are we curious? Why do we behave the way we do and why? The span of views on curiosity covers all. From being viewed as part of our animalistic nature and compared to instincts, to be viewed as a virtue to scientists and the reason behind why we explore space. Behaviorists tried to define it as an innate drive and some say that it has a crucial role in our ability to learn and understand.

Early during my education to become an afterschool-teacher a concern was raised that afterschool-programs will continue to be seen as an institution for childcare services. In this experience-based essay, I discuss what I see as the coreproblem: the free- and planned activities. What do the free- and planned activities actually mean for children's development and what is it that determines how much space the various activities will be allowed to take?In my attempts to answer this question, I go through the concept of leisure, the importance of children?s play and adults responsibilities in children?s play, what the different policy documents say about children?s play and the creative work, staff skills and theoretical and practical knowledge. I question whether I was right in the story that I begin this essay with, and conclude that it is more difficult than I previously thought to find an answer to the question..

The aim of this study was to examine how two integrating social enterprises relate to and combines social, ecological and economic sustainability and how they work with sustainable development in the field of social work. The study has been focusing on three questions: What are the values underpinning ?Macken? and ?Vägen uts? approach to sustainable development? What motivates these companies to work with ecological sustainability in the creation of new jobs? How do these companies combine social, ecological and economic sustainability? To answer our questions we have been interviewing nine employees through semi-structured interviews combined with observations and this study was analysed through a symbolic perspective. The conclusion of this study showed that these companies worked with specific themes to reach social sustainability. Recurring themes in the study was empowerment, recovery and the employee?s own experience of exclusion.

Effects of climate change, urbanization and global homogenization are resulted in the degradation of land and losses of natural habitats. Ecological design integrates nature into urban environment by respecting natural ecological principles and processes and creating resilient urban biotopes which also can be used by local urban communities. The aim of the thesis is to answer the research questions: How ecological design principles can be applied for re-design of Toledo Riverfront (with requirements of the design competition)? and What is the ecological design in landscape architecture? I participated in the USA design competition with the aim to create a vision and redesign of Toledo Riverfront in Ohio State, USA. The site is located in the south point of Lake Erie. As a result of a long industrial activity, riverfront of Toledo had been transformed into inaccessible and abandoned brownfields. In my proposal I applied ecological design principles on three scales: the city of Toledo by reinforcing of ecological connection and creating green corridors along the river; the intermediate scale by suggesting public parks along the river front and on the fine level by proposing detailed design including remediation of the site and use of dredged material.

En certifierad byggnad enligtmiljöbyggnad kan erhålla betyg guld, silver eller brons.Fallstudie har gjorts av brf Stenhuggaren, ett bostadsprojekt där 47bostadsrätter ska byggas, där byggherren HSB Göta:s ambition är attcertifiera byggnaden för Miljöklassning nivå Silver, som är ett led i attnå företagets övergripande klimatmiljömål.Arbetet har bestått av litteraturstudier, intervjuer med medverkandekonsulter i projektet, studier av konsulternas resultat av projekteringensamt undersökning av vad entreprenören ska göra i det praktiskagenomförandet av byggnationen för att säkerställa att uppställda målnås. Manual 2.1 (utgåva 120101) Bedömningskriterier förnyproducerade byggnader, enligt SGBC, har utgjort en del avunderlaget i denna rapport.En av slutsatserna som kommit fram i arbetet är att entreprenörensarbete i produktionen med miljöklassning inte har den betydelse somförfattaren antog inledningsvis, utan det huvudsakliga arbetet ligger iett gediget arbete vid projektering.Att utveckla miljö-och hållbarhetsarbete i projektering kan skapa godförutsättning för att fler byggnader på sikt blir miljöklassade. Detta kan iett längre perspektiv innebära kvalitativa och hållbara byggnader..
