Förslag till förnyelse av en villaträdgård i Limhamn, inspirerat av egnahemsrörelsens trädgårdar :
The population growth in Europe and with that in Sweden was enormous
under 18th century. The results became housing shortage in large part
of Europe.
Tight residency/ inhabited, poverty and emigration were series of social
questions in Sweden.
Private house (egnahem) as in the beginning was an idea from England and
Germany became a political measure and the answer at those miserable
social circumstances in Sweden.
The purpose with the private house (egnahem) was to help those new
people moved in to towns with place to live and counteract movers to
towns and emigration. With the governmental loan and land availability
that some municipalities and wealthy people contributed with, could
people get a place to live with the small garden.
The city garden (trädgårdstaden) with their future idealistic idea/utopia,
English gardens, ideas with roots in the old-fashioned gardens (allmogeträdgårdar)
and lots of books and periodicals were the source of inspirations.
From these the private house gardens (egnahemsträdgårdar) were
born.
Object for my study is my and my family?s own house in Limhamn,
south west of Malmö which was built in 1912 under private house gardens
era. The garden and the building have still trace and element from
the time of private house.
My suggestion is inspired by the private home style with a new thinking
design that answers to daily need and the busy life style; a rather easy to
maintain for green environment.
A more relaxing and peaceful garden with simple design, a garden
despite that it is surrounded by neighbours and streets invites in harmony
and dreams..
Energieffektivisering - Laholms kyrkliga samfällighets kulturhistoriska byggnader
Energy efficiency is today more important than ever, mainly due to the high energy prices and the approaching climate changes. Heating of buildings is an essential area within energy efficiency. Many buildings are old and were built at a time when the energy prices were low and the term ?energy efficiency? was unheard of. By applying today?s broad range of energy saving actions on these old, and thereby often, heating ineffective buildings, this area has a large potential in reducing energy consumption and costs.Churches and chapels are generally old buildings with, in many cases, ineffective heating systems and therefore consume much more energy than needed.
Centraliserad decentralisering? En studie av Marrakechprocessen och dess relation till global governance
The current debate regarding organizational strategies for sustainabledevelopment is influenced by the theory of global governance. Decentralizedstructures of the global society are taken to use in the realization of a sustainabledevelopment. New roles of transnational networks and partnerships raisesquestions of the ability of global governance to co-ordinate and implement longtermsolutions without assistance from centralized and hierarchic structures basedon government. The aim for this thesis is to illustrate the current conditions forwell-functioning networks of sustainable development and examine therelationship between global governance and government. Issues of participation, decision making and compliance are examined by a case study of the Marrakechprocess, a global process to support the implementation of sustainableconsumption and production.
Vision Nollenergihus : Energiförsörjning av passivhus med sol- och vindenergi
Climate change is the modern society?s common issue. The developed countries areconsuming more than what is sustainable, and the climate change due to the use offossil fuels can be seen clearly. EU has specified goals, in order to stop furtherdamage, which demand that every member state have to reduce its energyconsumption by 20 % before 2020 and 50 % before 2050, relative to 1995.The Swedish government uses a number of instruments to encourage reduction in theusage of energy, but every individual has to contribute to reach the goals. With increasing energy price the cost of living is going up. A lot of people are lookingfor ways to save energy and not be affected as much by the increasing price.Investments for insulation, replacement of windows and replacing old heating systemfor a new efficient heat pump is getting more and more common. This thesis is about investigating the possibilities in becoming independent from buyingenergy for households.
Offentlig upphandling av ekologiskt producerade livsmedel : Ludvika kommuns, Borlänge kommuns respektive Smedjebacken kommuns erfarenheter av gruppcertifiering enligt KRAV
The Swedish public procurement correspond to approximately 400 milliard Swedish crowns every year which corresponds to about a fourth of the Swedish Gross National Product. Setting proper demands in the procurement is a useful tool to drive the development towards more environmentally adapted products and provisions. The Act on Public Procurement (Lagen om offentlig upphandling, 1992:1528) gives the municipalities opportunities to consider environmental properties during the procurement. This combined literature and empirical study investigates the experiences made by the three municipalities Ludvika, Borlänge and Smedjebacken during the process of certifying their school kitchens as organic in cooperation with KRAV. The main conclusion is that without compassion and curiosity for developing a green public procurement changes can be hard to implement.

Matningssystem för pellets
In today's society, the availability of energy plays an integral part in our everyday lives. Unfortunately, the price of energy in Sweden has increased in recent decades. A large part of our energy consumption goes to heating modules for houses, where heating methods that depend on energy sources such as electricity, district heating, fuel oil, gas and biofuels are the most common ones. During the winter period, the increase in energy costs becomes significantly evident, especially for small property owners. This increase in energy cost is most noticeable for home owners with electric heating. This thesis is written at the Halmstad University, in cooperation with a company, which makes parts of this thesis confidential.
Studie av värmeflöden i befintligt bostadsbestånd : Utvärdering av energieffektiva besparingsåtgärder
The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate different types of measures for making buildings more energy efficient and to estimate their profitability. The calculations were performed with the building simulation program VIP+ and the evaluation of the profitability with the life cycle cost method. Furthermore, it was examined how losses in the distribution of secondary systems of district heating can be avoided. Options to replace district heating with a local district heating system based on bio-energy have been investigated. The possibilities of achieving more efficient thermal energy consumption and production for the chosen estate were also examined. The object of the study has been a residential estate with 133 detached houses in Uppsala, built in 1974.

Country of origin - consumers?perception at the point of purchase of meat : a means-end chain analysis
Focus of this study was on the underlying values behind consumers buying motives at the point of purchase of meat products in Sweden. Meat consumption in Sweden has increased and in 2012, almost 50% of all meat consumed was imported (SJV, 2013). This is the case despite of the fact that consumers frequently state the importance of Swedish country of origin on the meat products they purchase (www, LRF, 2, 2006). A rising public awareness about health, environmental issues, animal welfare and food safety coupled to meat consumption and meat production is scrutinized both from media and consumers. Due to rising concerns of production-methods of meat, consumers wants to make informed purchasing decisions of the meat they purchase (BEUC, 2013).
