This thesis project is a vision of an identity building in Gothenburg, situated on the pier called Bananpiren. The purpose of the project is to create interest and stimulate discussions around the place and the building.In order to gain inspiration of what such a place can contain and express, a number of similar projects have been analysed, for example the Sydney Opera and the Yokohama International Port Terminal.A number of suggestions was then created and analysed, all of which are presented in chronological order in order to show the rejections and the developed designs that resulted in the final formation to proceed with.The result was finalised in a number of presentation images of the project that can be used by Cullbergs Arkitektkontor AB when presenting the project..

The purpose of this study was to gain greater knowledge of how preschool teachers and children using an experimental- and activity box in biology. To find this out, I have used the participant observation method and semi-structured interviews since my study is qualitative. The result of the work led to a greater understanding of the biologybox. It was shown that preschool teachers' involvement is very important for children and that the biologybox contained good and inspiring materials. Although educators desired that there was more material to choose from as well as the usage time of the biologybox should be longer than 3 weeks..

The purpose of this thesis has been to explore the topic of business simulation from a theoretical foundation in social constructivism and theories concerning leadership as the management of meaning. The most important findings are that business simulation can be used for strategical leadership by management to create a common vision in the organisation members, which affects their perception of the business and the decisions and actions they make, which in turn can lead to a more efficient organisation that becomes better at meeting set goals. This can be viewed in different ways from different theoretical viewpoints: as inducing targeted changes in mental models to create changes in decision making and actions; as a secondary socialization process where the vision of management is externalized as a business simulation that is in turn internalized by the organisation members that participate in the business simulation, or as a way to frame and define the reality of the organisational members which creates a shared reference point against which a feeling of organisation and direction can emerge. In the future, business simulations may become increasingly used by organizations to create a common vision or to communicate a new decision to the organization members..

I dagsläget har räddningstjänsten i Luleå kommun brandstationer i Luleå centrum, Gammelstad och Råneå som ska kunna undsätta cirka 75 000 invånare på 2110 kvadratkilometer stor yta. Inom en snar framtid behöver investeringar utföras, antingen i form av en ny brandstation, eller genom en upprustning av den befintliga i Luleå centrum. Samtidigt står verksamheten inför nya utmaningar då kommunen har tagit fram ett arbetsunderlag, Vision Luleå 2050, för befolkningstillväxt och utveckling. Därför har räddningstjänsten i Luleå, på uppdrag av räddningsnämnden, påbörjat en arbetsprocess som ska utreda framtida brandstationsplacering i Luleå kommun. I denna studie belyses frågan med avseende på responstid och täckningsgrad.

Vi utreder hur ett spel ska anpassas för att tafram en så bra och tydlig stereoskopisk 3D-effekt som möjligt och så att betraktaren upplever etttydligt djup utan att uppleva ett obehag på grund av effekten. Rapporten tittar djupare på vilkatekniska aspekter man behöver ta hänsyn till vid spelutveckling i stereoskopisk 3D. Samt vilkaprestandabegränsningar som man bör ta hänsyn till vid stereoskopisk 3D. Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa hur vision, målstyrning och feedback upplevs av omsorgspersonal då de dagligen inte har tillgång till en fysiskt närvarande chef. För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi valt att genomföra en kvalitativ studie,i en mellanstor kommun som aktivt arbetar med vision och målstyrning sedan ett antal år tillbaka. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av fyra stycken intervjuer med omsorgspersonal utifrån semistrukturerade frågor. Våra frågeställningar är följande: Hur upplever omsorgspersonalen på självstyrande enheter implementering och förankring av organisationens vision i sitt dagliga arbete?  Hur upplever omsorgspersonalen på självstyrande enheter att målstyrning fungerar? Hur upplever omsorgspersonalen på självstyrande enheter möjligheten till feedback med en fysiskt frånvarande chef?   Vad anser omsorgspersonalen på självstyrande enheter om chefens närvaro/frånvaro? För att tolka och analysera vår empiri, har ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och en abduktiv ansats använts.

Den traditionella ekonomistyrningen räcker inte längre till för att nå lönsamhet i företag, varför ekonomistyrningen måste moderniseras. Det räcker inte med ett finansiellt fokus och organisationer bör inkludera icke finansiella mål i styrningen. Undersökningar som gjorts visar på att det finns ett samband mellan företag som använder icke finansiella mål och ökad lönsamhet. Ett annat område som också kan bidra till en ökad lönsamhet är företagskultur.Uppsatsen syftar till att skapa en bredare förståelse kring innebörden av begreppen företagskultur och icke finansiella mål men även begreppen vision och värdegrund.En kvalitativ studie har genomförts. Empirin är insamlad genom åtta kvalitativa intervjuer.

This thesis is a critical discourse analysis of the vision of Malmös contemporary urban development. By analysing official documents produced by Malmö municipality our aim is to make discursive and sociolcultural practices in the constitution and construction of the city visible and problematicize them. To do so we use critical discourse analysis and theories on Urban Studies. Malmö is a city historically labeld as a ?labour- city?, with heavy industry as its main labourmarket.

Arbetes syfte är att resultera i ett planförslag för Pottholmen och svara på tre frågeställningar som behandlar översvämningsrisk, tillgången till offentliga och mer privata delar och möjligheten till ökad vattenkontakt. För att få en förståelse för Pottholmen har jag använt mig av metoden realistisk stadsanalys. Jag har även använt mig av Kevin Lynch begrepp för att kartera området. Resultatet av arbetet blev ett planförslag över ett nytt område som är intressant att röra sig genom tack vare användningen av Gordon Cullens teori om serial vision och som är uppbyggt av både offentliga, halvoffentliga och halvprivata rum enligt Jan Gehls teorier..

Eskilstuna municipality is working to be a municipality that the people who are living in it are proud of. In a way to do that two students have examined what changes are good or bad when there outdoor environment are rebuilding and changing By doing interviews with the people who are living next to two streets that already have been going through big changes and during those interviews the inhabitants have hade opportunity to explain what they are seeing as good or band changes in the surroundings. This thesis treats Building Information Modeling, BIM, in the production stage. Brieflydescribed BIM is virtual model of a building object where all information about theobject is gathered. All the involved operators in the construction project have access tothe model and can gather or share information about the project. There are several waysto apply BIM in the production stage. Service quality occurs in service encounters where both customers and employees come together in an interaction. It is therefore important that the staff give their best because the interaction usually takes place in real time, which is referred to as the moment of truth.The aim of this study was to find out how luxury hotels are working to ensure good service quality, and how the staff are motivated to deliver this service. We wanted to examine this from a management perspective, and an employee perspective. Information was gathered through various interviews, where the staff at the Hotel Kämp in Helsinki and at the Sheraton Hotel Stockholm participated.Survey results show that employee motivation, training and empowerment have a significant impact to provide service in high quality. The results also show that the surveyed hotel, to certain level work in the same way, but it reveals some differences even when both hotels are part of the same concern..

The town of Karlstad has a long term project called Vision 100 000 which aim is to increase the population towards 100 000 inhabitants. This will of course put a strain for the town?s energy distribution grid. This is a work about trying to predict the grids power usage would be for the next five years if the city building plan is finalized. Those predictions are mainly going to be done through calculations with a database program called Facilplus and by checking the measured history of power usage per hour on certain selected customers by the program CustCom.

Since a couple of decades the community of Jönköping has worked out an urban vision of how the city should be appropriated expanded. The prospect extends to around year 2040 and deals with the area south of lake Munksjön in Jönköping, Sweden. Today there is a proposal of how this would look like and what main public functions that should be located there. One issue in the so-called urban vision 2.0 indicates a congressional building.
