Abstract Background: In 1997 the Kyoto Protocol was signed, it?s an international agreement which is aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sweden's goal is to reduce energy using in buildings with 20 percent by 2020 and 50 percent by 2050. This is a comparison with levels from 1995 (Glad, 2006). For Sweden to be able to reach its goals, they need to construct more low-energy buildings (Åhman, Wahlström & Lundblad, 2010).

Engelsk titel: Greater opportunities than interests : Civic culture and deliberative discourse on Swedish NGO websitesThis is a critical and normative study, which examines a selection of Swedish NGO websites as potential forums for civic culture and deliberative discourse in the public sphere. Sociocultural, political and sociological and media and communication theories are combined.The work is made within a Habermasian tradition, but the importance of a hermeneutic methodology is stressed, along with the sociocultural perspective to reach an understanding of why citizens engage in politics. In contrast to much of the earlier research concerning deliberative discourses on the Internet, a more informal understanding of how people discuss politics is stressed.The questions are: What kind of civic role do the websites discursive dimensions address? What kind of civic identity do the users address in the websites resource dimensions?The empirical results are both discouraging and encouraging for advocates who put their trust in the Internet as a potential civic tool, in these times when neoliberal models of citiziens are prioritizing citizens as consumers, thus neglecting citizens as political actors. The study reveals that the websites show good results in general, regarding the civic roles and identities of the websites as both discourse and resource for the users.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka eventuella kommunikationsgap som kan finnas i en organisation. Dessa gap kan gälla en organisations profil, organisationskultur och organisationens image. För att studera detta kommer jag att genomföra kvalitativa intervjuer. Först med Brandmanager på Adidas för att få fram hur Adidas tänker kring sitt varumärke, kärnvärden och kommunikation. Tre säljare på butiksnivå kommer även att intervjuas, då butiker som är återförsäljare av Adidasprodukter.

Eftersom miljöarbetet är i fokus och miljömålen, om att minska den totalaenergianvändningen i bostäder med 20 procent till år 2020 och med 50 procent till år2050, behövs förenklade verktyg för framtagande av energibesparande åtgärder försmåhus (Boverket, 2007a). Verktygen bör vara användarvänliga såväl för ?folk ibranschen? som fö småusäare.Problemet med de flesta av dagensenergiberäkningsmodeller och programvaror är att det krävs specialiserade kunskaperinom området byggfysik samt mycket byggnadsteknisk information om det aktuellahuset. Som småhusägare med mindre byggnadsteknisk kunskap är det ofta dyrt och kanta lång tid att få kostnadseffektiva förslag på energibesparingsåtgärder för sitt småhus.För att förenkla framtagandet av energibesparingsåtgärder för småhus behövs ettlätthanterligt verktyg!En förenklad beräkningsmodell som bygger på statistiska värden har tagits fram.Beräkningsmodellen är tänkt att tillämpas i en programvara som syftar till att underlättaarbetet vid framtagande av kostnads- och energieffektiva åtgärder för småhus.Beräkningsmodellen är uppbyggd i tre steg. I modellens första steg beräknas, utifrånstatistiska värden och beroende av användarens indata, småhusets energianvändning.Andra steget är ett beräkningssteg som endast är aktivt då brukaren har tillgång till enenergideklaration.

Banverket Produktion är en producerande resultatenhet inom myndigheten Banverket. Banverket Produktions huvudaffärer är att bygga, driva och underhålla järnvägens infrastruktur och detta sker genom dess fyra affärsområden: entreprenad, service, tele och maskin. Affärsområdet Entreprenad utför större och mindre järnvägsentreprenader på en marknad som sedan 2001 är helt konkurrensutsatt. Konkurrensutsättningen bidrog till att Banverket genomförde en översyn av materialförsörjningen med syfte att reducera sina kostnader. Resultatet blev att ledningen nu planerar att genomföra en successiv överföring av allt material som används för felavhjälpning till Banverket Materialservice.

This essay examines the Alberte triology, by the Norwegian writer Cora Sandel, from a gender/feminist perspective. Taking Yvonne Hirdman's theory about the gender system as a starting point I will show how the living conditions and the different roles of men and women are represented in the novel and how they are changing during the centuries before and after the First World War.I am particularly interested in Alberte, the main character, what attitude she takes to her position in the gender system and in what way she differs from the traditional female model. Is she a New Woman, a different ?species?, who doesn't fit into the rigid gender system? Does the New Woman have a male counterpart, and is he to be found in the novel? Does the novel give a positive vision of a future where men and women can meet as equals?.

Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka hur två pedagoger och två rektorer som arbetar på två olika kommunala förskolor ser på innemiljön och dess påverkan på lek. Det innefattar vilket material som används och hur de har utformat miljön. Vi har använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och ostrukturerade observationer för att samla in materialet. Resultat av undersökningen visade att båda förskolorna arbetar aktivt med miljön men att den ena förskolan precis har börjat med sitt arbete. Båda förskolorna arbetade efter samma vision, att ha en miljö som är tillgänglig för bar-nen där materialet är synligt och på barnens nivå.

The purpose of this thesis is to compare if a charter company's attitude and vision of service can be reconciled with the attitudes and visions that the customers have in the same area. In order to carry out the study a qualitative approach is used. The data has been collected by interviews, focus groups and observations. The framework is theories on the subject of customer satisfaction, quality of service at customer meetings, Self-Service technologies, quality assurance and gap in service.The study has concluded that the approach to service is relatively equal between the company and customers, but the future visions differ. Focus group participants have been thinking bigger and further into the future, while the company focuses more on specific functions.

The usage of internet is growing significantly every year in today?s society and whether you like or not, the internet has an influence in your life. It is therefore important to find out how people are affected by its use. We have through our study interviewed a number of people that uses internet on a day to day basis, who have agreed to live without internet access for a period of time. We started out by interviewing these people about their internet usage and what it means to them, then proceeded with their non-internet access period.

AbstractMy study is based on that I think there is a problem at the Handicraft program for hairdressers where I currently work as a hairdresser teacher. I believe that there are clear objectives and a wide range of courses focusing in craft knowledge, but the social competence goals are unclear and there are no courses on the subject. Since I have 13 years hairdressing experience and know roughly what it requires, I wonder where and how the teaching of social skills is performed at the Handicraft program for hairdressersThe purpose of this study is therefore to find out how some of my colleagues perceive the teaching of social skills. The issues I have focused on are what these teachers believe that social skills are, how they perceive their teaching of it and when they believe that teaching really should be. There is not much literature on this subject because it is a relatively unexplored area. I have therefore concentrated on literature dealing with social skills in general, and theses and essays dealing with the quality of hairdressing education. I have chosen to make a qualitative interview study. The objectives related to social skills can be incorporated in the teaching of many subjects; I chose to interview two core-subject teachers and four vocational teachers. The interviews have been based on respondents' own interpretations of social skills. They have been individual interviews of about 30 minutes. My results show that most teachers believe that social competence is about a good meeting between people and to coping with different situations in a good way.

The purpose of this study is to determine if and how male or female everyday languagesdiffer. The study is based on ten interviews with five men and five women living inHalmstad, who are between the ages of 22-29. The interview results were analyzed andcompared with previous research on the subject. The result shows that there is adifference between the male and female informants use of language. Women laughing,using italics, hedges, the word så ?so? and response signals to a greater degree than men.The reason may be that men and women basically use different conversation styleswhen they communicate, that men prefer a public speech, intended to provideinformation and knowledge.

There are about 3 500 churches protected under the Heritage Conservation Act in Sweden today. These churches still belong to living congregations that want to be able to adapt them to the needs of today, just like people have done throughout history. But since the churches are protected, the congregations have to apply for a permit and that is not always given. This can lead to frustration, and you can sometimes hear representatives of the church express the view that antiquarian authorities are enemies that oppose the church. On the other hand we have the antiquarian authorities that, in a way, have to act as advocates for generations to come and make sure that there is a cultural heritage preserved for them when they grow up.

Hotel and restaurant industry have always been seen as an industry with low status and poorworking conditions. Low wages, temporary contracts, illegal work, and sexual harassment are the rule rather than the exception when the employee?s working conditions discusses. By using the right dogmatic approach together with a social science perspective the purpose of the study has been answered. The purpose has been to contribute to a greater understanding of how it is that the hotel and restaurant industry?s poor working conditions can be maintained, the extent to which the working conditions of the employees is ensured and why mostly young people, women and people with foreign backgrounds are employed in the industry.

Abstract This essay is about girls that have chosen a gender atypical education on a gymnasia level. Since we are living in a society that is still today gender segregated in both working life as well as educational area, we find it interesting that it still exist an paradox which leads us to the question ?why? those girls and boys, woman and man choose so differently. We are not aiming towards study how many girls that have chosen a gender atypical education but rather how these girls that are on the construction program in one of Stockholm?s gymnasium have deliberated and what it is that has influenced them.
