Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka samspelet mellan karaktärer och varumärken i framtidsfilmerna: 2001: A Space Odyssey, Back to the Future Part 2, The Fifth Element, I, Robot och The Island. I förgrunden för vårt arbete finns ett samhälle där individen ställs inför ett ökat utbud av varumärken, samtidigt som företagens utmärkande unika identitet blir allt viktigare för att fånga konsumenternas intresse. Denna identitet, som företag bygger upp exempelvis genom produktplacering i film, utgörs framförallt av framträdande karaktärer som agerar och tillsammans med filmen ger produkten liv.Studien har genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys, där det empiriska materialet har införskaffats genom ett strukturerat protokoll som behandlar våra valda filmers produktplaceringsförekomster. Detta protokoll, bestående av de centrala benämningarna aktiv- och passivprodukt, har drivit oss vidare till ett resultat för vår studie.Resultatet har i analysen utkristalliserat och tydliggjort påträffandet av fem karaktäristiska mönster som beskriver varumärkenas roll och funktion i våra fem valda filmer. Samtliga mönster har underbyggts av vår använda teori om kulturellt meningsförmedlande av Grant McCracken och har påvisat att det sker ett meningsutbyte mellan film, karaktär och varumärke..

The main focus of this study is to explore Swedish soldiers? experiences of the transition back to everyday life after international service missions. This includes the help and support that they have received and also what barriers to care they have experienced during the transition back to everyday life. The theoretical perspectives of this study are social identity and stigma theory. This study was performed using a qualitative method and includes six individual interviews with active duty officers within the Swedish armed forces.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about facing responsibilities towards a company?s employees, customers, stakeholders, suppliers and the environment. As customers and consumers came to seek companies that were dealing with CSR a rapid wave of ?forced? implementations of social responsibility began. Fair Travel Tanzania, which has CSR as the foundation of the company, says that they are transparent about what they do and how they give back to the locals, could it be a problem with this? And how do they actually give back to the locals? Is it possible to measure the impact of CSR activities within the company? And if so, how?.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in China. Written documents concerning veterinary acupuncture has been found dated around 650 B.C. Acupuncture has gained greater acceptance in the western world the last decades and many countries have established their own veterinary acupuncture organizations. Many studies report good results after acupuncture treatment and back pain in horses is considered a good indication for acupuncture treatment. In studies published, the results are subjectively evaluated. To get a qualitative, scientific evaluation of acupuncture treatment, objective measurements, control groups and statistical analysis are needed. This pilot study presents a case where acupuncture has been used for treatment in a horse that was diagnosed with back pain.

Today, in the European Union, there are few countries that still have statutory audit for smaller businesses, Sweden is one of them. There are discussions about whether Sweden should follow the trend of abolishment and an analysis management by the justice of the Supreme Court Bo Svensson was recently presented, which ended in the conclusion that statutory audit ought to be abolished.

Förhållandet när en elitishockeyspelare kontrakteras av en svensk ishockeyklubb regleras av tre olika avtal. I uppsatsen görs en inledande utredning och granskning av dessa avtal som är skräddarsydda för att användas som grund för att besvara de två nedan angivna frågeställningarna.Avtalen granskas först utifrån ett arbetsrättsligt perspektiv där vi undersöker ishockeyspelarens rättsliga ställning och fastställer om spelaren kontrakteras av sin klubb i egenskap av arbetstagare eller om han är att anse som självständig uppdragstagare samt undersöker vilka konsekvenser detta får i form av tillämpligheten av svensk arbetsrättslagstiftning. Avtalen undersöks sedan ur ett avtalsrättsligt perspektiv med fokus riktat på hur långt de grundläggande principerna om avtalsfrihet och avtalsbundenhet kan sträcka sig samt vilken inbördes ställning och förhandlingsposition avtalsparterna har vid avtalsskrivandet. Vi undersöker vidare hur ett ingånget avtal kan fullgöras samt på vilket sätt avtal kan begränsas i syfte att skydda en avtalspart i underlägsen ställning från att drabbas av oskäliga avtalsvillkor. Rättsläget är utifrån denna problemställning oklart vad gäller spelaravtal inom svensk elitishockey.Inom ramen för de två frågeställningar som vi vill besvara gäller den första frågeställningen vid den situationen att en svensk ishockeyspelare som står i ett avtalsförhållande med en svensk ishockeyklubb väljer att lämna klubben för spel i NHL.

The main intention with this thesis is to investigate the relationship between dividends and investments. We hypothesize that firms may be forced to cut back on investments if dividends are not curtailed in times of poor annual earnings. According to contemporary theories, we argue that firms may be reluctant to cut back on dividends even when annual earnings decline and the level of investments will consequently be determined by the financial mobility of companies. The survey is carried out by means of a quantitative analysis, which includes all firms quoted on the exchange of Stockholm from 1980 through 2000. On the contrary of previous research, we conclude that even firms with high dividends can be forced to curtail investments if payouts to shareholders are maintained or increased when companies are faced with a decline in annual earnings..

The aim of this study was from the beginning to examine why a woman who has made an abortion comes back for another one. Why does the risk taking continue, despite the fact that abortion is perceived as emotionally hard? How can this be understood? This study consists of a literature review and semi-structured interviews. I wanted to interview women who had made a decision to have a repeated abortion, but it was difficult to get that kind of interviews. I then decided to interview the staff who meets women searching for an abortion to have their attitudes and experiences of women coming back for another abortion.

The purpose of the study was based on scientific literature to describe the quality of life of persons who have undergone a total hip replacement. The method was a descriptive literature review. The results showed that pain was the most obvious change after surgery. Mild pain before surgery was strongly associated with mild pain after surgery. But despite less pain were experienced early, it took 1 year to achieve the full benefits of improved physical function.

Should I/we move abroad or not? This is a question that surely many of today?s expatriate Swedes asked themselves and was probably largely debated by most. How does is feel to move back to Sweden? I have chosen to contact a number of expatriate Swedes and some that have returned, in order to receive answers to these questions.The aim with this thesis is to study the experiences and thoughts of people living in a different country as to were they were born and also those of people returning to Sweden. I have used a hermeneutic analytical method alongside a socio-psychological identity perspective when I studied the replies of my 69 respondents.

The purpose of this study is to describe the motivations of women to participate in politics and to examine whether women feel that they are held back by something in their political participation. The questions of this study are:How do women motivate their participation in different fields in politics?Are there any obstacles that are holding women back in their political participation? Interviews have been used as the method to gather the empirical data. When applying the theoretical framework on the empirical material the main conclusion is that women tend to participate more frequently in political activities that are less time consuming and more sporadic in comparison to more traditional forms of political participation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the connection between store layout and how it affects us as shoppers. We formed our research questions based on literature. The study was based on observations of shoppers without their knowing they were observed. We didn?t tell shoppers since the science of shopping says that shoppers pattern of movement is something that?s subconscious and if the shoppers had known it would have affected the result of the study.

It has become more popular to work abroad and companies have become more global than they used to. A big reason for this is due to globalization and the progress done within the field of technology. Because of this aloofness that occurs, a gap between the expatriates? personal life and his or her working life develops. The cases focused on in this paper includes people who are distanced from their private lives at least a few consecutive months but are all aiming to get back when they are done with their individual errands.

The aim is to develop a new decision-making model for credit-loans. The model will be specific for credit applicants of the OKQ8 bank, becauseit is based on data of earlier applicants of credit from the client (the bank). The final model is, in effect, functional enough to use informationabout a new applicant as input, and predict the outcome to either the good risk group or the bad risk group based on the applicant?s properties.The prediction may then lay the foundation for the decision to grant or deny credit loan.Because of the skewed distribution in the response variable, different sampling techniques are evaluated. These include oversampling with SMOTE, random undersampling and pure oversampling in the form of scalar weighting of the minority class.
