The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the ideological currents that have influenced the swedish school system since the 1990's. The background of my interest is the lively debate in schools and media about the new School reform 2011. My hypothesis is that education in 2011 largely will be influenced by neoliberal and neoconservative values. The method I`ve used is discourse and ideology critique, which examines the relationship between rhetoric and power. These concepts are useful to explain the ideological change in different policy documents and in curricula, for example Lpf 94 and School 2001. The theoretical framework is based primarily on the neoliberal and the neoconservative agenda, which are two distinct political rationalities in the contemporary postmodern world.

In today's society we are used to regularly visit the sport arena to cheer for our favorite team, we go to the cinema to enjoy a good movie or maybe to the theatre to experience a grand performance. It has become far more common in the last years to buy tickets to these kinds of events online. To make sure that the customer will keep on buying their tickets from the online booking companies the booking experience itself has to be hassle-free and easy to understand. The customer will most likely, if possible, avoid the website if the booking itself is experienced as having problems and insecurities.  The purpose of this study is to determine some of the most fundamental designs and functions of online booking websites today as perceived by the general public.

Seen in many trends and studies, consumers of today feel a growing desire to experience the uniqueness in products and services. This is forcing companies be more innovative and creative in their marketing, in order to distinguish and differentiate themselves and their products/services. We believe that creating a top-to-bottom experience strategy is one way that a company can succeed in this.The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and clarify how a business can reinforce their product experience through a complete experience strategy. In order to demonstrate this we have made a case-study research for the New Wave Group, advising them on how they can place blown glass art at the heart of the town of Kosta.The authors have used qualitative methods and an abductive approach. Four interviews have been completed with executives from the New Wave Group, including the project manager, hotel manager, head of the Kosta Boda smeltery and head of guides and visitors at Kosta museum.

Electrolux Laundry Systems is the world leader in manufacturing professional laundry equipment.The machines are used in the hotel sector, elderly care, in multifamily houses, laundry bars, and incommercial and institutional laundries.If there is oil or grease left in the clothes after washing may the heat from the dryer cause a chemicalreaction. This reaction may, under certain circumstances cause a fire inside the drum. Competitors toElectrolux has developed its own systems that extinguishes fire inside a tumble dryer and customershave expressed desire to purchase a fire-extinguishing system. Therefore, the project team receivedthe task by Electrolux to develop a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire in a tumbledryer.The purpose of the project has been to develop a system that both detects and responds to fire in anindustrial tumble dryer to meet the competitors and to satisfy customers' requirements.The goal was to develop a fire-extinguishing system for Electrolux Laundry Systems and develop afully functioning prototype.The project began with information searches on a variety of methods to both detect and extinguish afire. Subsequently, a number of different methods were used to develop a final solution and make aprototype.The result of the project is a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire inside a dryer.

The European history of bath has its roots in the Greek culture about 2500 years ago. In every Greek town was situated at least one center of culture, a gymnasium, that contained bath establishements, areas for physical training, restaurants, librarys and readingrooms. Already 400 B.C. Hippokrates, founder of the art of healing, spoke for the waters important qualities in medical treatements. After the Greeks the Romans overtook and maintained the polished manners of bathing, and thanks to them the culture spread to the north of Europe. During the middleages the art of swimming was well respected among soldiers and knights, and was frequently practised in tournament games and competitions. At the same time the bathhouses were developed in the towns of Europe.

Rapporten är en reflekterande text som behandlar arbetsprocessen och omkringliggande mål för ett examensarbete inom medier som bedrivits mot Högskolan Skövde. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att finna grepp som maskerar spels linjaritet, det vill säga vilka knep som används i dataspelsindustrin (medvetet eller omedvetet) för att få ett spel med linjär level-design till att framstå som mindre linjär.Min analysmetod är hämtad från Espen Aarseths, Forskning på spel: Metodologiska ansatser till spelanalys (2007), där en av de totalt tre analysmetoder är vald; nämligen att själv spela igenom analysobjektet. De två återstående analysmetoderna presenteras kort under metodavsnittet. Därefter jämförs greppens betydelse i en rad spel för att därefter slutligen tillämpas i en egenskapad modul. Jämförelser görs med The Legend of Zelda ? a Link to the Past (Nintendo, 1991), Grand Theft Auto ? Vice City (Rockstar North, 2002) och World of Warcraft (Blizzard, 2001).

Mot bakgrund av dagens läroplaners betoning av att elever inom olika utbildningsnivåer och från olika kulturella kontexter ska kunna tillgodogöra sig information i text och bild inom olika ämnen, är syftet för denna uppsats att undersöka bilders betydelse för lärsförståelsen hos vuxna andraspråksinlärare i Sfi - svenskundervisning för invandrare. Metoden jag använt mig av är en kvalitativ metod med uppföljande individuella intervjuer. Informanterna delades upp i två grupper av vilka den ena gruppen fick läsa en text med tillhörande bilder samtidigt som den andra gruppen fick läsa motsvarande text men utan bilder. Efter läsningen fick samtliga informanter svara på ett antal övningsuppgifter till texten. Resultatet visade sig bli att de informanter som läst texten med bilder fick ett bättre utfall på övningsuppgifterna än de som läst texten utan bilder.

Äldre äter ofta tre mål om dagen varav ett som är varmt/tillagat. Detta ställer höga krav pånäringsinnehållet. Under en lunch/middag bör äldre få i sig 430 -540 kcal samt 25 ? 30 gram protein enligt svenska näringsrekommendationer. Äldre med hemtjänst kan få färdigrätter av märket Varsågod tillverkade av Elite hotel levererade hem till sig via hemtjänsten i kommunen.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka förväntningsgap ur revisorsperspektiv, faktorerbakom förväntningsgapet samt revisorernas hantering av detta. Vi undersöker också om ettförväntningsgap existerar mellan revisionsbyråer och deras anställda revisorer. För attuppfylla syftet genomförde vi en kvalitativ studie där godkända och auktoriserade revisorer påKPMG, PwC, Ernst & Young, Deloitte och Grand Thornton intervjuades.Arbetets teoretiska referensram omfattar grundläggande teorier om revisorsyrket ochrevisionen i helhet. Där presenteras teorier om: revision, revisors roller, revisorsansvarförväntningsgap och om lagstiftning som styr revisionen.Förväntningsgapet äger rum när beställare av revision har en annan uppfattning än revisornom vad revisionen innebär, dess räckvidd, revisorsansvar och revisors roll. För att undvikaeller minimera förväntningsgapet är kommunikation ett viktigt instrument.

Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att ta reda på likheter och skillnader mellan stora och små hotellkedjor i sättet hur dessa marknadsför sig via sociala medier.Till detta syfte har vi arbetat mot tre frågor:Hur använder sig hotellkedjor av sociala medier i sin marknadsföring?Hur ser interaktionerna ut mellan hotell och deras följare via sociala medier?Har storleken på hotellkedjor någon betydelse i sin marknadsföring via sociala medier?Metod: För att komma mer på djupet inom ämnet har vi valt att använda en kvalitativ forskningsmetod samt en observation. Det empiriska material vi samlat för arbetet är från fyra respondenter från fyra hotellkedjor som är insatta och har betydande roller i det vi valt att studera. Alla har vi intervjuat ansikte mot ansikte och observationen är genomförd i form av sammansatt matris.Slutsats: Vi har genom utförda intervjuer och analys identifierat hur små och stora hotell förhåller sig till sociala medier. Utifrån detta har vi även funnit likheter och skillnader mellan stora och små hotellkedjor i sättet hur dessa använder sig av dem sociala medierna som marknadsföringskanaler.

Principen för bokningssidorna är att de jämför priser på olika hotell och rumskategorier för att sedan sälja till lägsta pris till den som bokar. En gemensam nämnare för bokningsföretagen är att de inte gör detta gratis, utan erhåller en avgift per förmedlad rum från hotellen.SyfteDenna litteraturstudie syftar till att undersöka om hotell tjänar på ett samarbete med onlineresebyråer.Metod och materialDenna litteraturstudie genomfördes med en grund av vetenskapliga artiklar som publicerats på internet och tryckts i vetenskapliga journaler.ResultatResultatet av artiklarna visar att det hotell eller den bokningssida på internet som har lägst pris, bäst erbjudande och den mest användarvänliga hemsidan, lockar till sig flest bokande gäster.DiskussionHotellen och bokningssidorna är beroende av varandra. Hotellen blir exponerade vilket kunde leda till att bokningen genomförs genom hotellets egen hemsida, vilket är målet för hotellkedjorna. Alternativt sker bokningarna på bokningssidorna, vid vilket tillfälle OTA:erna erhåller en kommission.SlutsatsHotellen tjänar på att ingå partnerskap med onlineresebyråerna, då dem ökar antalet bokningar till hotellen.

Law firms are defined as knowledge-intensive companies. Due to the dependency regarding the resource of knowledge among the firms employees and to the fact that they often are categorised as a type of professional service firm. The purpose of this study is to investigate the different types of profitsharingsystems as a form of reward with focus on the theoretical differences and effects of the True Partnershipmodel and the Stockholmmodel. In addition to these models we will look into the Human Resource processes of; recruiting, integration, retaining and development of employees. The main purpose of the study is to examine the theoretical level on how the profitsharingsystems effect different Human Resource processes and through the knowledge of these connections using this as an analogy when to analyse other law-firms and knowledge?intensive company?s.

Detta är en C-uppsats i ämnet medier: Dataspelsutveckling som ska leda till min filosofie kandidatexamen. Då de etiska frågeställningarna, speciellt rasism, vid utvecklande av spel har väckt mitt intresse valde jag att skriva en C-uppsats med fokus på detta ämne.Uppsatsen behandlar frågeställningarna om hur en speldesigner kan undvika stark kritik när hon gör ett spel som utspelas i miljöer och kontexter där det förekommer rasism eller etniska motsättningar samt hur en speldesigner balanserar realism och abstraktion i ett spel som utspelas i verklighetsbaserade miljöer. Teorier och texter som använts för att komma fram till ett svar på frågeställningen är bland annat Rollings och Adams (2003) teori om den etiska dimensionen och diskuterande texter från Chan (2005) och Everett och Watkins (2008) samt Williams m.fl. (2009) som behandlar rasism och rasbaserade stereotyper i spel. De spel som har analyserats närmare är Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004) och Resident Evil 5 (2009) som båda har fått utstå kritik i media för att vara rasistiska eller för att förespråka negative stereotyper.Mitt syfte är att föra en diskussion om skildringar av ras och etniska grupper i spel och hur dessa skulle kunna presenteras av en speldesigner på ett fördelaktigt sätt.Genom detta arbete kom jag fram till bland hur en speldesigner skulle kunna ändra på vissa variabler för att få ett bredare accepterat spel.
