Detta examensarbete utreder hur information kan anpassas textuellt och formges efter en specifik målgrupp. Informationen behandlar explosiva och energetiska material, var de används och av vilka, och hur hanteringen sker säkert. Arbetsprocessen har innefattat metoder för textanalys, fokusgrupp och jämställt språk och har lett fram till ett designförslag. De texter som har analyserats har dels varit tagna från examensarbetets samarbetspartner, KCEM, och dels tagna från andra branscher som genom målgruppsanpassat material informerar om sina möjligheter. En fokusgrupp sattes samman av ett representativt urval av målgruppen.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the classification,shelf arrangement and display of documents in antiquarianbookshops and see the reasons behind these. The results willbe compared with previous reviews of alternative shelfarrangement in Swedish public libraries, to see whatdifferences and similarities there are in the classification andshelf arrangement between antiquarian booksellers andlibraries. The questions to be answered were: (1)What formsof classification and shelf arrangement are used inantiquarian bookshops and how does it differ from theclassification and shelf arrangement made in libraries withan alternative shelf arrangement? (2)What exposure ofdocuments are there in the various antiquarian bookshops? Isthere anything regarding the exposure that differs betweenthe antiquarian bookshops and the libraries? An idea andideology analysis of various dimensions is used as atheoretical tool during the work. The dimensions were: (1)Shelf arrangement: It is important that customers/borrowerscan find themselves - it is important that staff know wherethe documents are.

The web sites of Swedish public libraries display a high level of heterogeneity when it comes to design and graphical user interface. The thesis is based on the opinion that the visuals of a public library web site have implications for the user as well as for the library. The design of the graphical user interface influences the attention of the user and his/her ability to absorb information. Furthermore, there is a connection between the visuals and the users opinion about the credibility of the content of the web site, as well as of the organisation itself. The research question is: Which factors may have an impact on the design of the graphical user interfaces of a public library web site? The purpose is to create an understanding for these factors and emphasize them.

In this study, I have examined the previous Social Democratic government?s communication with the voters, focusing on its promises during election campaigns, and the presentation of achieved results. The theories used are the mandate- and sanction theory; the first focuses on voters comparing manifestos to find the most agreeable, whilst the latter concentrates on voters evaluation the work of the previous government, to either discharge or support it. For the sanction theory to work, voters must have the necessary information to evaluate the government in progress. The question is; did the previous government provide the voters with such information?This has been done through scrutinizing the Social Democrats? election manifestos that was used between 1994 and 2006, to examine what the party promised to achieve in economics and the labor market.

Detta examensarbete består av ett gestaltningsförslag till Vårdcentralen Citys entré vid Kungsgatan 39 i Eskilstuna. Hela fastigheten tillhör Landstinget Sörmland och förvaltas av landstingets Facility Management-enhet. Själva entrén tillhör landstingets så kallade ?övriga ytor?. Entrén är även entré till några övriga verksamheter, vissa helt eller delvis kopplade till landstinget, andra helt fristående.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka serier som en adekvat bärare av kunskap och därför ett möjligt didaktiskt instrument för att utveckla elevers lässtrategier i svenskämnet på högstadiet. Uppsatsen redogör för seriens definition och samhälleliga status samt möjligheter kopplade till genrens plats i skolan. Fokus ligger på serier som faller under kategorin grafiska romaner, vilka är omfattande serieverk som berättar en viktig historia. Stand-alone-stories och auteur är även viktiga begrepp eftersom de in- nefattar serier som inte är massproducerade och där serieskaparen är ansvarig för hela den kreativa processen. För att nå en djupare förståelse för serier innehåller serien ett analysinstrument baserat på semiotik.

This bachelor thesis? purpose is to investigate how purchase librarians work with foreign language collection management. Since about 15% of the citizens of Sweden are born abroad or have a foreign background, the subject of investigation becomes relevant because it touches a wide user group of the public library.Interviews were conducted with four librarians responsible for purchasing of foreign literature. The purpose of these interviews was to investigate which underlying strategies and thoughts are used as a basis for purchasing.Since the library act does not include guidelines regarding the content of the foreign literature collection, how is the literature chosen and to what purpose?As a theoretical framework a self-developed model was used to categorize the foreign literature into its different functions.

In this study we are seeking to discover the norms in the design of logotypes and how they havechanged over time. To achieve this we have chosen to analyze the logotypes of twenty companies withthe largest expenditure on advertising in Sweden. We mapped chosen design attributes within the logoto discover the similarities and then we selected the five oldest brands to analyze how their logos havechanged over time. The design changes in the logotypes over time is can be related to the changingattitudes of the general public and the designers ambitions to draw on convention to create iconic designthat will spark brand-recognition. However many changes can?t be directly explained through changesin convention.

The aim of this thesis is to study a number of standards and theories, from the two research areas human-computer interaction and psychology, about how a graphical user interface (GUI) should be composed in order to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Special emphasis is put on how the GUI should take into consideration the strengths and limitations of human cognition and perception. A study of three web catalogues shows how these theories appear when concretised. The following questions are answered in this thesis:What guidelines and styleguides can be found that specify the design of a user-friendly GUI?How do a few library catalogues on the web match a selection of these design principles?The guidelines are extracted from literature concerning human-computer interaction, psychology, automated library systems and web design.

In the last few years there has been an ongoing debate concerning the methods of assessing the quality of public libraries and their services. This study investigates the opinions and needs of the users at four different public libraries in Malm : the local libraries in Bellevueg rden, Limhamn, and Kirseberg, and the main library in central Malm . The purpose was to find out whether different user groups display different patterns in their library use and, in addition, to identify what library services they prefer. The data were collected through interviews with users and librarians, and by means of a user survey ccarried out at the four libraries. The results indicate that certain differences in the usage patterns do exist between the main library and the local libraries.

 Målet med examensarbetet har varit att formge en produkt för en tågstation. Tre viktiga ledord har följt mig genom projektets gång; hållbarhet, användning och vardagens estetik. Jag har med hjälp av observationer, intervjuer med tågresenärer och användarstudier kommit fram till ett produktkoncept för kontexten tågstation; möbeln Find Your Place, som består av komfortabla kuddar uppsatta på en vägg som är till för att stå och luta sig mot medan man väntar på tåget.  Samtidigt med researchen skissade jag både i 2- och i 3D under arbetsprocessens gång. Som ett stöd i min designprocess gjorde jag i ett tidigt skede en ITK (Identity Tool Kit). Arbetet har gått ut på att utnyttja de lediga väggarna på en tågstation. Genom att montera upp kuddar på som en vägg blir den mer tillgänglig på ett dynamiskt sätt. Kuddarna är asymmetriska och påminner om soffdynor i gatstensliknande former.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to contribute to a betterunderstanding of children's free time reading book practices by studyingpupils in the school library and their processes of finding and borrowingbooks for themselves to read silently in the classroom, so called free timereading books. The study also includes observations of the staff's role,particularly the school librarian's in supporting pupil's book selection.The empirical material consists of field notes from an etnographic studywhere pupils in 4th grade (aged 10-11) and staff were observed duringthree school library visits. The theoretical framework is inspired byLennart Björneborn's concepts of information practices in libraries:serendipity, integrative library interface, mediation flow and affordancespaces.The study shows that pupils' search for free time reading books in theschool library is relatively routine-based at the same time as it isspontaneous. The process is an interplay with factors such as time,display and interaction in the integrative library interface. In the presenceof adults, finding books becomes an imposed task for the pupils.

I föreliggande rapport utreder vi två olika mekaniska pendlars rörelsemönster. För att utföra arbetet krävs användning av Lagranges ekvationer, som är ett enkelt sätt att formulera rörelseekvationer för ett mekaniskt system. När dessa rörelseekvationer löses utnyttjar vi Sophia, ett symboliskt programmeringsspråk baserat på Maple. Uppgifterna löses numeriskt med relevanta begynnelsevärden för respektive problem.Ett övergripande mål är att visa att man kan lösa Lagranges ekvationer, som är svåra att framställa symboliskt och ofta omöjliga att beräkna för hand, på ett enkelt sätt genom att integrera numeriskt med hjälp av programmeringsspråk såsom Sophia.För att lösa Lagranges ekvationer beräknas inledningsvis det mekaniska systemets kinetiska- och potentiella energi. Därefter beräknas Lagrangefunktionen, genom att subtrahera kinetiska energin med potentiella energin, och när denna erhållits kan Lagranges ekvationer framställas.Resultaten presenteras med animering av rörelsemönstret och grafisk presentation av systemets parametrar.

The philosopher Heraclitus has been renowned for a great amount of time. Despite that fact the remaining fragments of his work have just recently been assembled to the composed form they have today. Among these fragments there are a couple of terms that stands out amongst others; one of them is the term logos. The main focus of this thesis is devoted to the mystery and usage of the term logos, which comes into a great display in fragment number 50.The ambition of the thesis is to evaluate and compare three interpreters? readings of Heraclitus while having a close focus on his usage of the word logos in fragment 50.

Försvarsmakten har de senaste åren genomfört stora förändringar för att anpassa sig till en omvärld i förändring. Förändringarna omfattar alla nivåer, och har bland annat inneburit att man bytt befälssystem, personalförsörjningssystem, uppdaterat uniformsreglementet, fram-tagit en ny grafisk profil samt akademiserat officersutbildningen.Uppsatsens syfte är att nå en djupare förståelse för hur omorganisationen i Försvarsmakten har påverkat förbandsandan vid ett arméförband där förbandsandan anses vara stark.Resultatet av studien visar att omorganisationen har påverkat förbandsandan på så sätt att man kan se att personalen blivit allt mer marknadsmässigt inriktad vilket leder till ökad in-dividualism och försämrad lojalitet. Detta kan i förlängningen få konsekvenser när det gäller genomförandet av väpnad strid ? då man är väldigt beroende av den djupa sammanhållning-en mellan kamrater som utgör kärnan i förbandsandan. Anledningen till denna ökade indivi-dualisering är bland annat att soldaterna inte har känt sig delaktiga i de förändringar som genomförts och att omorganisationen skett med bristande insikt gällande för soldaterna vik-tiga faktorer, som exempelvis behandlandet av artefakter.
