The distance between home and work has increased in recent decades. By the development of infrastructure and public transport, jobs farther from home have become more accessible and this development has in turn increased commuting. Commuting travellers often pass over administrative boundaries which often serve as borders for public transport pricing. Also the market control prices. Research shows that travel times and costs significantly affect commuting choice.

Det här är en systematisk litteraturstudie. Vi har använt oss av sökmotorerna DIVA, ERIC, LIBHUB, LIBRIS, Google och SWEPUB. Majoriteten av vår litteratur är publicerad av Svenska forskare på Engelska. Litteraturstudien har som syfte att beröra IKT inom skolans värld för personer med både fysiska och psykiska funktionshinder. Studien innehåller tre olika perspektiv, Lärare, elev och förälder.

Examensarbetet Seostik, sökmotorstatistik som säljstöd, genomfördes, på uppdrag av ClearSense AB i Kalmar. Syftet var att utveckla en webbapplikation som ska underlätta försäljningen av webbtjänster åt företaget. ClearSense arbetar huvudsakligen med sökmotoroptimering och sökmarknadsföring.Sökmotoroptimering som är ett hett ämne tilldelas mycket resurser men få talar om den verkliga effekt som optimeringen har på en webbplats. Med det utvecklade verktyget Seostik gör vi det möjligt att se effekterna av sökmotoroptimering både på lång och kort sikt.Applikationen har utvecklats enligt MVC-mönstret i PHP med en MySQL-databas. Verktyget behandlar även teknikerna JavaScript, XHTML och XML.Projektet har resulterat i en färdig webbapplikation som förhoppningsvis kommer att bli en viktig del i ClearSense dagliga arbete och utveckling av webbtjänster..

War has for all through the years adopted various guises and been performed by various actors for a wide variety of destination. But what is really a war? Why is war fought? How is war fought? By whom is war fought? Machiavelli, Clausewitz, Kaplan, Kaldor, Creveld and Krulak are just a few among others who have made valiant attempts to explain war and its nature. What did they find? This essay maps out their studies in the hope of finding some kind of continuity that can give a clearer picture of what war really is.

This essay is reading the Swedish author Stig Larssons debut Autisterna [The Autists] (1979) in the light of Gérard Genettes narratology and the time philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. The focus of the essay is time and how it is seemingly dissolved. The essay maps out a chronology of the non-chronological novel and from there discusses the breaking up of the empirical time. The essay uses Deleuze to explore the time-image of the novel to see how it is built up in the text for example by literary anyspace-whatevers. Hence the title, Anytime-whatever.

In the last decades, lean production has proven to be one of the most important organizational paradigms in manufacturing. The lean concept has also spread into the service industry where it is applied within a range of different areas. The wide applicability of lean principles has spurred the authors of this study to apply the principles in the context of the operations of a Swedish remand prison. The thesis examines the process a client of the remand prison Häktet Kronoberg goes through from the time of arrest until he/she is released or convicted and transferred to jail. Based on lean tools and principles, the thesis maps and analyses this process.

Improved wireless datacommunication with the forest machines might be the next big step in the logging process. The use for wireless communicationsystems within the forestry is among other things to report the production from the forest machines, to supply the machine opera-tors with the right information and for safety. CDMA2000/ 450 is a third generation mobilecommunicationsystem which could replace the old NMT- 450 and for comparatively low costs. The reason for the low costs is that you only have to use the old NMT- 450 masts and supply them with new equipment. In the test of CDMA2000/450, that has taken place in northern Uppland, two kind of files have been sent.

Kandidatarbetet undersöker vilken försäljningsmetod man som utvecklare ska använda sig av för att få största möjliga förtjänst, när man säljer ett spel på Androids marknad. De försäljningsmetoder, som studerats, är reklam, prissatt och in app billing. Från insamlad statistik av Google och enkäter har en förståelse kring vilken metod att föredra tagits fram. Resultaten visar att alla fungerar trots deras olikheter sinsemellan.

When SKL (Swedish National Laboratory of Forensic Science) gets images to analyse, the task often is to identify a person or an object. In that work it?s important to find features. Unfortunately images from camera surveillances often contain a lot of noise, so details can be hard to discern.A simple method to improve an image from a sequence is to compute the mean of some of the images. However, the part of interest in the image has to be in the same position in all images.

During the autumn of 2010 a group of parents met together with two therapist at Mini Maria Hisingen. These parents did have children who had experience of using drugs. This study purpose´s to describe, analyze and understand what has been effective in the work together with this group of parents.The interrogative sentence is; Did we use a narrative approach and what impact did this approach had on the groupprocess? What did the group sessions contribute to the parents and would they recommend other parents to participate in similar sessions? All the sessions were recorded in video. The work was highly inspired by Michael White and his book Maps (2007).

Data retrieved from airborne laser scanning represents a new source of forest data. Today, the technology has matured so that it can function in an operational environment. The aim of this study was to compile areas of application of laserdata in forestry. Moreover to analyze costs and accessibility of laserdata. The goal was to provide private forest owners information to support assessments of possible benefits of laserdata.

Vida Skog is supplying the whole Vida Ltd?s mills with wood raw material. This study aims to evaluate Vida Skog?s contractors and the relatively new contractorportal and to identify measures that are important for the contractors? skills. The purpose with the portal is to facilitate co-operation between contractors and buyers by streamlining the logistics of the whole wood supply process.The study was conducted in the form of a questionnaire.Most of the respondents were positive to the portal.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka om molntjänster som OneDrive och Google Drive är tillräckligt enkla för oerfarna datoranvändare att börja använda sig av säkerhetskopiering. Med fokus på om användare med begränsade kunskaper inom IT och datorer kan använda molntjänsterna endast med hjälp av de instruktioner som ges på hemsidan och under installationen av molntjänsterna. Slutsatsen blir att alternativen är nära att uppfylla frågeställningen. Det upptäckta problemet med att skilja mellan molnet och synkmappen kräver dock ytterligare studie för att kunna bekräfta problemet och avgöra om problemet finns på båda testade molntjänsterna innan ett definitivt svar på frågeställningen kan ges. Problemet uppstår eftersom molntjänsterna brister med att förklara internetgränssnittet och därför i förlängningen hur återställning går till. .

Skuggor i 3D-miljöer är ett mycket efterforskat område, och detta arbete koncentrerar sig på shadow map-algoritmen. Det finns ett problem med denna algoritm, för då en shadow map projiceras på en yta som är större än sig själv så bildas stora trappstegseffekter, vilket kallas aliasing. Problemet som har undersökts är hur olika shadow map-algoritmer i en miljö med långa skuggor beter sig, där ett minimerat antal artefakter så som brus och aliasing är synligt. För detta undersöktes Percentage-Closer Filtering (PCF), som är en variant av shadow map, med olika samplingstekniker ? och även en vidarebyggnad med Percentage-Closer Soft Shadow (PCSS) implementerades.

We have produced a process mapping and from there developed a document management plan for the research service at the Labour Movement Archives and Library (ARAB) in Stockholm, Sweden. The project was conducted during five weeks in the spring of 2011 at ARAB and the resulting classification structure and document plan has been formulated and presented to the staff at a seminar. We found that the institution in some cases were suffering from an inadequate documentation in a number of the identified processes, and also in their records management and archiving. In this additional memorandum follows an analyzing discussion of activity-based document- and archive management, e-archives and process mapping. We have accordingly tried to standardize the process of research services and contribute to a more adequate document management within the institution.
