This thesis is about how the library can help immigrants integrate into theswedish society. By studying leading documents of the libraries in Malmö,Stockholm and Umeå in search for how the relate to work consideringimmigrants and integration I have studied the library as a bridge betweenbeing included and excluded in the society. The thought is that the libraryopens the door to new worlds both for immigrants and born swedes toobtain knowledge about a culture different from their own.In my thesis I reached the conclusion that library on a day to day basisworks with the integrationprocess for immigrants. Although the leadingdocuments should evolve since they show gaps and seem somewhatmisguiding in their presentation of the libraries function. The librariesshould work more with analysis of the environment that they are active in sothat they are more individualized for the people around it.

The foundation for this thesis lies in whether or not, and how, the body representation in printed commercials, specific products directed to the body (shampoo, body lotion etc.), has changed during the last fifty years. Four years have been chosen because of the changes in society that we believe might have had an impact. The commercials that have been picked out are the ones that best represent the general view of the body. We have found that the changes when it comes to body presentation has followed the social development to a certain degree, but it is difficult to say how much the society has had an affect on the body ideal in advertising. Representations of the male body is something that has escalated since the early 70?s, fifteen years earlier few commercials was made with male models, and the few there were, never showed more than the face.

Friend lists allow Facebook users to group their friends and may be used to share certain information only with those in a specific list. This function has been around for several years, but has never gained any particular popularity among users, most of whom probably did not know it even existed a couple of years ago. In the fall of 2011, however, the function was updated and made more visible on the site.There are several possible uses of friend lists, such as privacy control, filtering of the news feed, self-presentation and targeted information sharing. This paper aims to investigate the extent to which friend lists are used by students today, as well as why students actually use their lists, i.e. for what purposes.Judging from the results of this study in comparison with earlier research, there seems to have been a somewhat recent increase in the awareness of the fact that friend lists actually do exist, but still most users tend not to utilize them.

Bakgrund: Mycket forskning har riktats mot att undersöka hur börskursen påverkas vid tillkännagivandet av företagsförvärv. Inga studier har dock undersökt om det finns någon skillnad mellan hög- och lågkonjunktur eller om det skiljer sig mellan olika branscher.Syfte: Studien syftar till att undersöka hur börskursen för det uppköpan-de företaget påverkas vid tillkännagivandet av ett företagsförvärv under två konjunkturscyklar. Vidare syftar studien till att under-söka om det föreligger skillnader i börskursens utveckling bero-ende på vilken bransch företagsförvärvet genomförts i.Genomförande: Sekundärdata om företagsförvärv har samlats in från en företags-förvärvsdatabasen Zephyr samt börskursverktygen Google Fi-nance och Yahoo Finance. Dessa data har sedan sammanställts och kategoriserats för att räkna ut den abnormala avkastning för högkonjunkturen (2007) och lågkonjunkturen (2008/2009). Dessa data har sedan använts för att undersöka om det föreligger några skillnader mellan konjunkturscyklerna och de olika branscherna.Resultat: Det fanns skillnader i hur marknaden reagerade vid tillkännagi-vandet av ett företagsförvärv under hög- och lågkonjunkturen.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att kartlägga forskning om elevers attityder till och intresse för naturvetenskap i grundskolans årskurser 4-9. Metod: Frågeställningarna besvarades med hjälp av en systematisk litteraturstudie. Sökord valdes ut och användes i databasen ERIC, webbsökmotorn Google Scholar, samt webb-portalen ?avhandlingar.se?. En manuell sökning gjordes även i tidskriften NorDiNa.

Arbetets syfte är att undersöka hur bildtolkning fungerar som metod för att nå insikt i ungdomars tankar kring jämställdhet, feminism och genus. Jag är också intresserad av hur bilder kan användas i undervisning utanför bildämnet, hur bilder kan användas som en visuell presentation till ett perspektiv eller begrepp, här till det feministiska perspektivet och genusbegreppet. Tillfälle att undersöka detta dök upp genom samtal med en lärarstudent som genomförde sin ämnespraktik i psykologi men även undervisade två klasser i det ämne som kallas livskunskap och idag undervisas på vissa skolor. Kursens mål är bland annat att ta upp genusrelaterade frågor. 53 elever har genom en enkät med öppna svarsalternativ tolkat en bild med feministiska tolkningsmöjligheter.

Background: Osteoarthritis is understood to be a common cause of pain and dysfunction in cats; however there are few validated pain assessment methods for chronic pain in cats. In order to design a proper pain questionnaire, it usability need to be tested in both sound and sick cats. Aim: The aim was to investigate the usability of the pain questionnaire ?Lifestyle changes in cats? by compiling the results from the pain questionnaire reflecting the lifestyle in 30 healthy cats and compare it to the results from a clinical examination, as well as proposing improvements and additions to the questionnaire based on a literature review. Material and method: 30 healthy cats participated in the pilot study; the pet owner filled out a pain questionnaire with 16 questions regarding their cat´s behavioral and eventual changes in behavior and physical function. Thereafter the cat walked over a pressure measurement mat and finally underwent an orthopedic-directed clinical examination. The literature was found on Web of Knowledge, PubMed, Sciencedirect, and Google Scholar and also with the help of my supervisors.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to examine the information needs and behavior of Swedish theater students. The aim is to get an increased insight into how theater students search and use information as they create their character roles and also to examine how the information seeking is integrated in the creative process. The findings of this study have been made through qualitative data gathered from five interviews with six theater students who are studying at the Swedish Theater Academy. These students studied between autumn term of 2014 and spring term of 2015. To analyze the result of the interviews four different theories? have been used, Carol Kuhlthau?s information search process model, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons model of four domains, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons information search barriers and Tom Wilson?s model of information behavior.

This paper is an attempt to distinguish the specifics of the conflict resolution process and the negotiations during trade conflicts. First of all, this kind of conflict almost always contains some kind of protectionism which doesn?t make sense economically. Imposing trade-barriers decrease the overall welfare of your own nation and the only winner is the protected sector. These policies can be introduced since the political pressure from threatened industries is usually much stronger than the pressure from the consumers who will bear the burden of protectionism.

This thesis deals with the question of how and to what degree Swedish history books for schools changed between the early 20th century and the 1960s. The theoretical foundation for this study is a perspective which treats historical accounts as narratives, bringing meaning and orientation to the present. According to this perspective, historical accounts may be divided into four different types of narratives, traditional, exemplary, critical and genetical. The basis for this division is how the narratives use the past to make the present understandable.The following conclusions are reached:That Swedish history books for schools have changed less, and in a moore gradual way than those dealing with general history. There is a growing use of genetical narratives at the expense of mainly exemplary ones.

Molntjänster är idag ett växande koncept, men det har inte vuxit så fort som leverantörerna skulle önska. Att definiera molntjänster är både enkelt och svårt. Det kan sägas vara tjänster som utförs över Internet, vilket också är den mest vedertagna definitionen. De tjänster man kanske först tänker på som molntjänster är Dropbox, Google Drive och Microsoft SkyDrive, men inom begreppet molntjänst täcks betydligt mer än så. Uppsatsen redovisar för de vanligaste begreppen och användningsområden för företag.

Modellen är ett kraftfullt redskap i designprocessen. Inte bara på grund av dess pedagogiska värde vid en presentation eller demonstration av något, den är även ett värdefullt verktyg i designprocessens tidiga stadier. Jag har byggt en modell och använt den som ett skissverktyg när jag utformat flera olika förslag på utformning av en trädgård i en norrsluttning. I metoden beskriver jag hur jag konstruerat modellen och hur jag gått till väga när jag använt den i min designprocess. I resultatet redovisas de olika förslagen och idéerna jag kommit fram till med modellen som redskap. Genom att inte bara kunna se utan även känna höjdskillnaderna och formerna i trädgården med mina händer så har modellbyggandet hjälpt mig att förstå platsen på ett bättre sätt och det har hjälpt mig att utforma och presentera sex olika förslag på utformning av trädgården som jag redovisar i det här arbetet..

This essay aims to create an understanding of how leadership can be arranged in a company that embraces new technology and telework, and how it can be experienced from the employees' perspective. In order to make it possible to investigate this purpose are three questions formed; ?How is the leadership perceived??, ?How does telework into motivation?? and ?How does telework into communication??. A presentation of previous research is given, focusing mainly within different types of leadership, distance, and telework. Based on this, three interviews was made in which respondents? experience of telework was in focus.

keywordsThis was a project about the process of animation and the presentation of looped animations in the form of a zine.My main subject for the project was to explore the possibilities of the computer program After Effects and how to incorporate the functions of this program with my hand drawn technique. I wanted to keep the hand drawn feeling and at the same time make use of all the helpful short cuts and utilities that this program had to offer. I found that this program was quite suitable for this kind of work, although I didn?t feel completely satisfied when it came to the amount of animations that I was able to put together. At the end of the project I had completed six loops (plus a older one) for the CD that came with the printed zine.Another big issue in working with this was the question of theme and content for all the different loops.

This essay consider ritual death during the ironage, and through a presentation of historical and archaeological sources. Considered ritual death I think we should study both historical and archaeological sources, to get a vider view and a new perspective. To make the essay easier to understand I have split up the early and the late Iron Age in the discussion. In order to study the ritual death I have shown archaeological examples like bogsacrifices in the early ironage, and decapitated victims in the Viking society. The victims have been considered as slaves by some archaeologist.
