Samhällsstörningar i form av större olyckor, naturkatastrofer och liknande kriser har under senare år varit relativt frekvent förekommande i Västsverige. Denna kvalitativa studies övergripande syfte var därför att fördjupa kunskapen om vissa avgränsande faktorer som upplevdes som underlättande respektive försvårande med avseende på ledarskapet vid hanteringen av orkanen Gudrun samt vid raset av Europaväg 6 i Munkedals kommun. Ett delsyfte med studien var även att koppla studiens resultat mot Ronthys (2006) teori om ledarintelligens. Underlaget för studien utgjordes främst av hur personer i ledande ställning inom räddningsorganisationen upplevt dessa händelser, något som författaren fick ta del av genom sju semistrukturerade intervjuer. Av de intervjuade var sex män och en kvinna, åldersfördelningen varierade mellan 40 till 65 år.

Företag och organisationer måste ständigt förnyas och utvecklas för fortsatt existens. Två begrepp som används i samband med utveckling och förnyelse i organisationer är kreativitet och innovation. Syftet med den här undersökningen var att beskriva och analysera vilka övergripande faktorer som ledare uppfattar påverka kreativitet och innovation i organisationen.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate what young behavioral science students, born in the 1980s, think is important in their future work life. The purpose has also been to investigate what attitudes the behavioral science students have towards their future work life, and what place work has in the young behavioral science students lives. After clarification of above, the aim has also been to compare the results with former research. Thereafter the purpose has been to investigate whether traditional work motivation and job satisfaction theories are applicable for young people today. The empirical material is based on interviews with six women who study behavioral science at various levels.

The purpose of this study was to examine health promotion and ill-health prevention in the workplaces of the City District Committees in the City of Malmö. More specifically, we wanted to find what types of health problems there were and what kinds of strategies were applied to prevent them. Furthermore, the aim was to examine whether the leaders of the City of Malmö saw any effects of the strategies in use and if so, which. Finally, the intention was to compare our empirical results to previous research in the field of health promotion and ill-health prevention in workplaces. We conducted a qualitative study consisting of semi-structured interviews with five leaders in different levels, two personnel secretaries, two employees assigned to improve the health of the personnel in the City Districts, and one safety representative.

Children's need of a good environment of playing outdoor at schoolyards is, both from a perspective of commonly public's health and from the children themselves, indisputable. Children who have a good and varying playground develop physically, psychologically and socially. As an instrument of pedagogic a playground also is valuable for example in teaching the round, periodical successions and understanding of democratic processes. How is it possible for a landscape architect to contribute improvements? The purpose of my work has been to enlarge my knowledge about playgrounds, understand more of the profession as a landscape architect and apply a perspective of children in the planning. Managing credit risk might be the single most important business area for any commercial bank. The assessment of "good" and "bad" corporate clients is a important task for a creditor. A bad debtor is a corporate client with hardships in meeting the continous claims (interest payments) that a creditor requires. One way of evaluating or separating a "bad" client from a "good" client is to assess the propensity for the client to file for bankruptcy. This thesis examines 226 firms in the Swedsh market in the quest of predicting corporate bankruptcy.

This thesis deals with the concept of how price affects demand for a good by estimating various price elasticities of demand for snu sold in Sweden. Information was gathered on price development for snus and cigarettes as well as sales data from Swedish Match, the largest supplier of snus in Sweden. Income-, price- and cross-price elasticities were estimated based on log-log regression. Results show that snus is an inelastic good since the coefficient for price of snus was -0.536. This proved that a 1% increase in price causes a 0.536% decrease in quantity demanded.

De snart pensionsfärdiga medlemmarna av Rekordgenerationen (födda 1945-54) är på väg att lämna arbetslivet, samtidigt som den unga MeWe-generationen (födda 1980-89) precis har tagit, eller skall ta, klivet in i företag och organisationer. Forskare menar att ett generationsskifte kommer att medföra ändrade attityder, inställningar och värderingar i samhället och dess institutioner, då varje generations förhållningssätt till livet är unikt. Frågan är hur dessa grundläggande attitydskillnader avspeglas i de olika generationernas sätt att se på ledarskap, och chefens roll, i en organisation.Syfte: Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka och jämföra hur attityderna kring ledarskap ser ut bland några medlemmar ur MeWe-generationen respektive Rekordgenerationen. Anledning till att vi valt detta syfte är att vi vill se hur krav, förväntningar och önskningar på chefer kan komma att förändras, i och med genrationsskiftet av arbetskraft i organisationer.Genomförande: I avsikt att ta reda på studiens syfte, har vi genomfört 14 samtalsintervjuer med sju respondenter ur respektive generation.
