Competition of spruce fiber raw materials has increased dramatically in the last few years, leading to the fact that transportation costs in the current situation represents a much larger share of the total raw material cost. The Holmen-owned pulp industry Hallsta Paper Mill's location on the coast also constitutes a problem, because of the lack of raw material, which is much larger there, than for a pulp mill located in the hinterland. For a coastal industry it?s therefore natural to import much of the raw material by boat or to buy it from the timber terminals, in order to maintain good profitability. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the size of Hallsta Paper Mill timber supply area, without competition, with competition and with terminal use, affects the company ?s transport costs.

In the faster growing pace of changes and competition in the global economy, factors promoting group effectiveness are of interest. How do components of leadershipstyle, especially transformational, team climate and selfefficacy correlate? To answer this question 3 questionnaires regarding leadershipstyle (MLQ), team climate (TCI-Short) and selfefficacy (self developed) were distributed to employees of a Swedish installation company (108 participants). Moderate positive correlations were found between climate and selfefficacy and between varying elements of leadership and selfefficacy. The leadership behaviour Contingent Reward correlated moderately with all climate dimensions and strongly with selfefficay.

This thesis analyzes the effects of export subsidies on Swedish cereal export. The analyzes are based on data on cereal export from Sweden to countries outside the EU from 1990 to 2003. In 1995 Sweden became a member of the European Union. Before the membership, the Swedish agricultural policy was decoupled in a larger sense than the European CAP was, which means that the Swedish producers had decreased their production more than the European farmers. When Sweden became a member of the EU the production started to increase again to an EU level.

I en marknad där det redan finns etablerade standarder kan det vara svårt att konkurrera ut de nuvarande produkterna. Därför har denna rapport gjorts vilken består av en marknadsanalys av nuvarande standarder, statistisk undersökning av publicerade artiklar inom absolut kvantitativ proteomik samt en global kundundersökning med 35 svarande. Resultaten har legat till grund för förbättringsförslag till Atlas Antibodies AB för bättre marknadsföring och lansering av sin nya produkt, QPrEST. The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The new social movements have the tendency to be decentralized and flattened organized, they are now self-organizing and that they only do a whole as global patterns, as evidenced by the social movements in the Arab World andSuleimanya..

The aim of this paper is to examine this problem in the country that is considered to be one of the most equal countries in the world, namely Sweden. How big a problem is it, what is the social outlook of the victim and how does the Swedish justice system respond to this issue? These are some of the questions that will help to form an answer to the question if Sweden is a sanctuary for femalebatterers.Due to the resistance of implementing the entire penalty scale and the use of judicial methods, such as restraining orders and its effect on the women, the conclusion drawn from the answers is yes - Sweden is that sanctuary. The Swedish justice system is not tough enough when it comes to the abuse of women.

A common problem in forestry is plant death caused by frost. The risk of frost is highest on wind protected, flat or low-lying areas in the terrain. Here you often have regeneration problems with Norwegian spruce which is especially sensitive to spring frost. Swedish tree experiments have shown that the black spruce can be a suitable alternative on these areas, for example on moisture frost prone areas. The species originates from North America and its pioneer tree characteristics make it more frost hardy than Norwegian spruce.

Detta examensarbete syftar till att kartlägga hur ABB Robotics materialförsörjning kommer att påverkas av bytet av leverantörsbas. Det övergripande målet är att utreda och ta fram en modell för hur verksamheter ur ett materialförsörjningsperspektiv påverkas av global handel.Två Microsoft Excel-baserade simuleringsverktyg har tagits fram under detta examensarbete för att möjliggöra kartläggning av leverantörsbytenas inverkan hos ABB Robotics.

Offshoreindustrin på Nordsjön sysselsätter ett stort antal offshorefartyg med olika uppdrag för att stödja produktionen av olja och gas. Prospektering av nya oljefyndigheter, bogsering av installationer och att förse installationer med förnödenheter är några av de uppgifter offshorefartyg utför.För att genomföra arbetsuppgifter säkert, använder offshorefartyg och installationer sig av North West European Area Guidelines. Riktlinjer för hur arbeten skall utföras säkert och för att undvika olyckor som kan skada både människa, miljö och ekonomi.Kollisioner mellan offshorefartyg och installationer sker ändå, med varierande konsekvenser. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta reda på vad som sker på bryggan, ombord på ett offshorefartyg när det skall utföra arbete intill en installation. Rapporten är tänkt att ligga till grund för framtida arbeten som syftar till att öka säkerheten inom branschen.Som datainsamlingsmetod har gruppintervjuer utformade som fokusgrupper använts.
