Värnamo Elnät owns and operates a ripple control system which is used to control loadsespecially when the grid is heavily loaded and for control of street lighting. This report aims atclarifying technical and economic aspects of the ripple control system?s future. The system wasinstalled from 1975 and onwards and its use was greater in those days when the controllableloads where greater then today, the current controllable load level is about 3 MW. The reporthighlights three different aspects of the ripple control system?s future ? retain the currentsystem, reinvest in a newer system or discontinue the system.In the report the author also discusses relevant connections to Smart Grids and future meteringsystems and tariffs.

Denna studie och uppsats är en mindre del av DRA-projektet (Distribuerat RadiologisktArbetsflöde). Projektet har målet att samordna information för att skapa underlag förkunskap inom sjukvården i Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR). Detta är ett problem inomradiologin. Därför undersöks möjligheten att använda en Wiki för att stödjakunskapsdelningen och samordningen bland radiologer (röntgenläkare) inom Sahlgrenskasjukhus. Eftersom Wiki är nytt inom många verksamheter är detta intressant i dagslägetoch det är stort behov av forskning inom detta ämne.

Restoration projects are planned and carried out in order to reduce the impact due to anthropogenic influence and to achieve at least good ecological status according to the EU Water Framework Directive. The resilience effort of such restorations is however ambiguous. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of follow up restoration measures in Swedish lakes and streams. In particular, we visualized the geographical spread of restoration measures in Sweden and quantified the different types of measures that were implemented so far. Further, we evaluated the extent of sampling of biological factors before and after the restoration measures have occurred. For the purpose of our study, we used the recently compiled national database of restoration measures in Swedish lakes and streams.

The web has a broad affect on the global economy and can among other things be used for web based information systems (WIS). These systems have grown from being used as a market platform to support all activities in the work of an organisation of today. To survive in a turbulent competitive environment, companies must start to cooperate with their customers instead of just collaborate with them. Can an IT-consultant company use a WIS as a tool for keeping in contact with existing customers to attain this cooperation? A WIS could strengthen the relation between customer and supplier and through that have a possibility to increase the customer use since it can facilitate business processes and imply that services can be offered in a new way.

Dagens organisationer använder sig allt mer av integrerade systemlösningar för att på så sätt kunna bli effektivare i sina processer (Myerson, 2001). Det finns flera orsaker som lig-ger till grund till detta, så som till exempel lägre kostnader för organisationen, och att göra den mer konkurrenskraftig på marknaden (Myerson, 2001). Fördelen med integrerade sy-stem är att de möjliggör för till exempel att två skilda avdelningar inom en organisation kan kommunicera med varandra, med hjälp av mindre eller större nätverk, oberoende av var de än befinner sig i världen. Med hjälp av detta så kan de dela vital information, vilket kan be-hövas inom de respektive avdelningarna. Då de flesta organisationer på ett eller annat sätt arbetar med kundinformation, som till exempel personnummer, så måste det finnas någon form av skydd mot både yttre och inre hot.Dessa hot mot integrerade system i organisationerna leder till misstro hos kunden samtidigt som det även lyfter fram de problem som kan skapas av dem, vilket leder till att kunderna kan komma att fråga sig själva om deras personliga information är tillräckligt skyddade.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om kommunens befintliga integrerade system är till-räckligt pålitliga när det kommer till individens personliga information.För att kunna nå fram till ett resultat så fokuserade vi arbetet på hur det ser ut i praktiken, eftersom det inte finns så många studier kring integrerade system och säkerhet rörande per-sonlig information.

In 1983 Sweden passed a law stating that all limited liability companies are to be included into a mandatory auditing system. According to the EEC, courts fourth amendment, each country has the right to decide whether to exclude a mandatory auditing system for smaller companies. Audit reports in Sweden are considered to be very important for the bank crediting system. Should this be eliminated, it would be more difficult for banks to trust an audit. The significance of calculated audits is questioned in regards to the banks accrediting system.

Sociala medier företräder enny våg av informationsflöde i form av ostrukturerad data. Denna ökade mängd ostruktureraddata har kommit att ställa krav på hantering och analys av denna, vilket i sin tur förändrarförutsättningarna för ekonomistyrning inom företag. Företag som kan hantera information påett effektivt sätt kan utveckla strategiska konkurrensfördelar. Dock finns det begränsadkunskap om hur information från ostrukturerad data kan och ska hanteras inom företag.Företag som inte anammar nya tekniker för att hantera och analysera stora mängderostrukturerad data riskerar att gå miste om viktiga konkurrensfördelar.Syfte: Att identifiera, undersöka och analysera hur information från sociala medier påverkarentreprenörsföretags ekonomistyrning.Metod: Undersökningsmetoden utgörs av en avslöjande singel casestudie.

This report is an examination paper in computer science at University of Växjö. The report will focus on the possibility to create adaptable systems and to cost calculate the work needed to modify a system to meet new demands. A project [demos] developed by Interactive Institute studio [12-21] in Växjö is the starting point in our work. They have during a period of two years developed a prototype of a system which intends to get youth and democratic selected representatives a communication platform where they may communicate with SMS. Today they are in a position when they want to develop the system for other user groups with slighter different purpose and to do that they need a more flexible system.

Den här rapporten har som syfte att utreda vilket eldistributionssystem för offshoreenheter som sparar mest vikt och utrymme. De två elsystem som jämförs är GVAs standard system och Siemens Blue Drive System. Rapporten innehåller en teoretisk bakgrund för båda systemen och dimensionering av systemens kraftkablar samt beräkning av kabelvikter och komponentvikten för systemen. För att uppskatta kabel- rutter och längder kommer ritningsunderlag för GVAs offshoreenhet 7500 att användas.Resultatet visar att GVAs standard system är det eldistributionssystem som har den lägsta totalvikten med 168 ton, GVAs standard system har en vikt som är 101 ton lägre än Siemens Blue Drive System som har en vikt på är 269 ton. GVAs standard system har en lägre ström vilket gör att ledararean blir mindre och i med det blir kabelvikten mindre.

The management of information is one of the key aspects within a successful andefficient product development process, particularly regarding complex products.Scania CV AB is at the moment developing a new IT-system, OAS, which aims tomanage the company?s product data. With this as a background, the purpose of thismaster thesis is to identify the cross-functional user needs within Scania?s organizationconcerning product data and the management around it.To fulfill the purpose, an empirical study consisting of 40 personal interviews with 50representatives from different functions within Scania?s organization was carriedthrough. The empirical data was then analyzed focusing on identifying thecross-functional needs and issues.The study points out that there is a big potential regarding improvement among themanagement of product data.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study the relations between internal information and the principal business objectives in a knowledge organization. The questions are: how does the organization behave to its internal information resources, how is the information management related to the principal objectives and strategies, what information policy does the organization develop, and how is the management experienced by the employees. The purpose was to study the supply and management of information designed for internal use and the study was carried out with qualitative, semi-structured interviews to get a picture of the internal information management. The informants were mostly key persons with deep knowledge of internal information.

This report presents a method for modelling a computer system from a security perspective. The questions that are going to be treated are:? What defines a secure system and how does the company relate to these factors?? What are the threats today based on hardware/software, human factors and company routines/policies?? What measures should be taken for the organisation to reach a higher level of security for their systems?? How do we develop a method for classification of security and what components should it contain?? What changes are reasonable and necessary with the respect to the company?s resources?The report has been done through interviews and analysis of existing systems on Fla?kt Woods AB. From analysis of material, the aspects judged relevant to the subject and to the company?s needs, have been compiled to a document.

På operativ och högre taktisk ledningsnivå inom den svenska Försvarsmakten användsidag ledningssystemet Sweccis, Swedish Command and Control Information System.Detta system kan användas till planering och genomförande av insatser inom riketsgränser. Sweccis samlar ett antal funktioner, exempelvis en kartfunktion, ettgeografiskt informationssystem, en logistik-funktioner och en portal förinformationsspridning, i ett system. Till skillnad från tidigare system som använts förledning på högre nivå inom Försvarsmakten är Sweccis ackrediterat för att hanteraHemlig/Secret-information.Sweccis syftar till att möjliggöra funktionen ledning på operativ och högre taktisknivå, i enlighet med de doktriner som Sverige idag använder. Målet är att samordnafysiska faktorer, exempelvis våra arméförband, för att genomföra aktiviteter som skallleda till effekter hos motståndaren. Dessa effekter skall sedan kunna utvärderas för attanvändas som grund för ett kommande genomförande tillsammans med yttre faktorer,så som en ny uppgift från en högre chef.

Most of the saw and pulp industries have stored wood nearby their production, the main reason is to have a continuous wood flow to the production. Wet storage of wood is of great importance to keep the wood quality. Without water sprinkling the risk of drying outand decomposition through biological activity increases significantly and will result in a negative effect on future production and quality. One drawback of wet storage of wood is the leaching of chemical substances into the surrounding recipient. The log yard run-off contains phosphorus, nitrogen, phenols and organic substances. These substances can cause problems for the surrounding environment. The main objective of this project is to gain an understanding of the wet storage used by the Swedish wood industry and estimate the environmental consequences that run-off water will have on the recipient.

ABSTRACT System development has become more and more concentrated on development for the Web and this has resulted in larger target groups. It will most surely continue to be so considering that the Web will be the infrastructure of business and services in the future. A big target group involves that the owner of a system can earn a lot of money from the paying users, but that assumes that the system can meet user needs. If a system on the Web does not satisfy the user?s demands then they will use the competitor?s system instead because it is only a mouse-click away.
