Denna studie undersöker läsbarheten i ledargenren i morgontidningarna DN och SvD med hjälp av läsbarhetsfaktorerna; meningslängd, bisatsfrekvens, personliga pronomen och personord, LIX samt OVIX. Hypotesen som prövas i uppsatsen är att ledargenren, liksom skriftspråket i allmänhet, har gått mot ett allt ?enklare? och mer läsbart språk med mer inslag av talspråklighet. En annan hypotes är att DN som är en liberal tidning har ett enklare språk än SvD som är konservativ/moderat. Materialet består av sammanlagt 12 ledartexter från åren 2004, 2008 och 2012.

I denna uppsats begränsar jag mig till mycket korta berättelser på arabiska. Jag undersöker de kännetecken som enligt Ibrahim Taha (2000) karakteriserar denna genre genom att jämföra dem med några mycket korta berättelser i boken Ritualer för den olyckliga kvinnan ( ?????????? ?????? ) av den palestinske författaren Mahm?d Shuqayr (1994).

Sammanfattning Nikolai Zavgorodni (2008) Titel: Rock- och popmusik i undervisningen. Syfte med denna studie är att undersöka vilken betydelse har musicerandet i elevernas musikaliska utveckling. Studien omfattar musikundervisningen i gymnasieskolan. Jag har använt mig av både kvantitativ och kvalitativ metoder i min studie. Den kvantitativa metoden var i form av enkätundersökningen och kvalitativa metoden i form av observationer men framförallt i form av definitioner, konceptioner och teoretiska konstruktioner. Resultatet visar att musicerandet har en stor betydelse för musikstuderande och rock- och popmusik har en hög status i undervisningen.

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to gain an insight into whatgirls and boys choose to read in their spare time. Thetheoretical perspective with which the subject matter isviewed is that of gender and genre. I would like to see ifthere are differences or similarities in their choice of genre.The material stems from a promotional reading projectconducted in the summer of 2012 aimed at children in theage group 6-16. Examensarbetets syfte är att undersöka påståendet om att homosexuella mäns identitet inte bör representeras i tragedi, på grund av genrens maskulina ideal. Istället bör representationen ske i melodram då genren relaterar till feminina värden. Textanalysen av två teaterpjäser, tragedin The River and the Mountain (Uganda, 2012) och melodramen The Boys in the Band (USA, 1968), visar att tragedin står för en essentialistisk (biologisk) syn på sexuell identitet medan melodramen står för en konstruktivistisk (kulturell och social). Kunskap om homosexuell kultur kan inte ses som en nödvändighet för en homosexuell identitet. Tragedi bör därför inte avfärdas som en politiskt svag genre att representera homosexuella män i.

I have with this thesis sought to understand how chick lit could be useful in the classroom in the teaching of Swedish B-course in high school. Based on the model of critical literacy I am arguing that this genre would help to meet the objectives of the policy documents which, among other things, are to critically examine and analyze various types of texts.I have found that some of these texts could be used for analyzing and critically examine the ideological dimensions of texts and cultural heritage by the model of critical literacy, and also as a counterweight to the more traditional teaching of the canonical literature as a literary historical stuff that students should learn. I have also wanted to create a basis for discussions about literature in the classroom based on the chick lit genre. To do this I have, based on three themes and questions from the model of critical literacy, tried to focus on issues that might emerge from the ideological analysis and critical review. Adam Smith?s economic theory is often subject to criticism, in which it is claimed to be inherently inconsistent. Recently, criticism from well-known scholars has arisen claiming Smith should be characterized a labor value theorist anticipating Karl Marx. This study seeks to analyze whether such criticism is legitimate. Firstly, the economic theory of Smith is discussed in terms of consistency, and secondly, a number of typical and main points of the critique, from the most influential of his contemporary critics, are lifted up and analyzed.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze texts written by pupils during the national test in the subject Swedish for grade 9 in order to identify and illustrate how they have met the instructions for the writing task including genre. The texts have been analyzed using Palmér & Östlund-Stjärnegårdh?s (2005) model for student text analysis. This model has been supplemented by studying word and sentence length, as well as indexes for level of readability (LIX) and word variation (OVIX) in order to illustrate possible differences in a gender perspective. The results of this study are in line with previous research, as the girls? texts are longer and more descriptive, while the boys? texts are shorter and show a wider range of word variation.

I detta arbete har vi forskat kring hur filmindustrin jobbar med skräck. Hur den från dess start gått från harmlös till de idag ofta extrema filmerna som finns i hyllan, som kan röra runt i både vårt samvete och på en moralisk nivå. Vi har dessutom fokuserat på skräcken utifrån ett psykologiskt perspektiv för att utforska människans rädslor och få reda på hur filmindustrin arbetar med skräckgenren för att trycka på våra ömma knappar.

Genom en strukturerad genreanalys, enkätundersökning samt intervju med en DJ aktiv inom kwaito så tacklar denna uppsats uppgiften att klassificera kwaito som genre. Genom analysen så erhålls de strukturella särdrag som kan ses inom genren och detta testas mot enkätundersökningen som behandlar den allmänna uppfattningen om genren. Enkätundersökningen är i sig uppdelad i två segment vars indelning baseras på kulturella skillnader och den här uppsatsen vill belysa de båda antropologiska perspektiven etic och emic i form av en Sydafrikansk- och en icke-Sydafrikansk undersökningsgrupp. Syftet med undersökningen i den här uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen för kwaito som genre och på så vis öka förståelsen för klassificeringen av genrer. The idea to this bachelor thesis was born after carefully following the coverage of Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media during their imprisonment in Ethiopia from June 2011 to September 2012. Based on our interest we designed two questions to answer throughout the thesis. These are:(1) How are Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye portrayed as journalists in the discussion about them that has taken place in Swedish media?(2) How is the journalistic profession described in the discussion about Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye in Swedish media? To answer these questions we decided to analyse texts that can be defined as the genre of opinion journalism, which all came from Swedish printed media. We have chosen 16 texts to analyse which show the variety of ways to write about Persson and Schibbye in the chosen genre during the chosen period of time. Opinion journalism is what newspapers use to attract readers, as they want to supplement the news coverage with comments and analysis from ?experts?. Persson and Schibbye were imprisoned in Ethiopia in June of 2011, and weren?t released until 15 months later, in September of 2012. To analyse our material we have amongst others used theories regarding social constructionism, representation, discourse, the journalistic identity and the journalistic ideals that exist in Swedish society.

The artist Pehr Hilleström has been credited as the founder of the Swedish genre painting. In the second half of the 18th century he began painting everyday subjects of the different social stratums. Today his paintings are noted for their way of showing us the culture of the time since the photograph still had still not been introduced.   Hilleström was a court painter for King Gustav III who wanted him to depict the Swedish people and their different costumes. The king thought the costumes were of great significance for their psychological impact on people and therefore used them as a way to unite the nation psychologically, both by the genre paintings and also by making a national costume. The costumes were used as a symbol of an unbroken tradition and national heritage.
