Swedish libraries are currently discussing andimplementing the classification system Dewey (DDC).Most libraries in Sweden have used the Swedishclassification system SAB until recently. In 2008 TheRoyal Library of Sweden (KB) decided to switch fromSAB to DDC. Many academic libraries chose to followKB?s example and by January 2011 a switch was made atKB and at many academic libraries.The aim of this master thesis is to examine and analysethe library sector?s discussion that occurred before andduring the Swedish switch from SAB to DDC. The mainquestion asked is; What is being discussed about Dewey2010-2011 and in what manner? To organize and anlysethis discussion discourse analysis is used.

After Sweden became a member of the European Union, EU, the debate regarding the Swedish participation in the EU?s currency co-operation, the European Monetary Union, EMU, has been intense. One of the biggest issues has been how our national economic politics will work within such a monetary union. What instrument will remain for the national economic politics within the EMU are highly uncertain. The question whether we will be able to affect our own economy or not has long been the essence in the Swedish debate.

The aim of the study is to investigate what pupils in grade 1 think about reading aloud, reading alone, the selection of books, and the significance of reading. A subsidiary aimwas to examine the relation between the pupils? experiences of reading in the home andtheir ability to discuss a text they have read. A sidetrack in the study aimed to see whether the pupils? experiences of reading in the home affected their outlook on readingin general.

This work is meant to contribute to the research of adaptation studies by focusing on a special case: the transformation of a fictional diary into a movie. In order to sustain the form of the literary source the adaptation to movie requires certain strategies. Först of all, the diary genre is characterized by a one-dimensional narration. Second, diaries only supply a few written dialogues, hence this "void" has to be compensated and filled by media specific measures. Third, the investigated diary is a story of individualization and emancipation of a single woman.

This work describes the genus Helleborus both from a general point of view, and with individual descriptions of 17 species. The intention is not to make a complete description of the genus, but rather to give an overview and an introduction into the world of Helleborus. A separate chapter lists a few pests and diseases attacking the genus, followed by a brief summary of propagation methods and breeding of the genus. This bachelor thesis brings up a discussion about museums availability and access to thearchaeological display objects towards blind and visually impaired visitors. The study phasewill take start in analyzing four museums in south Sweden, all which have exhibitions aboutthe prehistory.Visually impaired and blind visitors don?t have a lot to go on at the current exhibitions aboutprehistory. This is because of the lack of access and availability when it comes to their specialneed. To raise awareness to this problem I took out a survey for the museums to answer.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to make a critical analysis of Journal Impact Factor JIF. JIF is today the most widespread quantitative measure for evaluating scientific journals. Although it is internationally used and is considered authoritarian many problems have been observed. This has led to that the validity of JIF has been questioned. To identify JIFs limitations the following issues have been raised: Which are the problems with citation analysis? What criticisms have been directed towards Journal Impact Factor as a measure for evaluating scientific journals? The theoretical framework consists of theories about citation behaviour and a discussion about the characteristics of a scientific journal.

Cyberpunkgenren definieras som en genre med en uttalad mörk framtidsbild med dystopiska inslag där bioteknik och artificiell intelligens är återkommande inslag och där majoriteten av verken som berör genren utspelar sig på natten. Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka om förändringar av det stereotypiska nattelementet som cyberpunkgenren förknippas med anses vara genrebrytande. Förändringen som gjordes var att nattbelysningen byttes ut mot dagsbelysning i en cyberpunkmiljö. För att genomföra detta skapades en stereotypisk cyberpunkmiljö med hjälp av datorgrafik som sedan presenterades i två versioner, en i nattbelysning och en i dagsbelysning. Bilderna visades därefter upp för en informantgrupp som var kunnig inom science fiction och cyberpunkgenren och som därefter fick besvara ett antal frågor under semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer..

I den här uppsatsen undersöks det hur och varför filmmusiken påverkar tittaren när det kommer till skräckfilmsgenren. Från att skräckgenren har bestått av sagor och myter och monster och djävular har den utvecklas till en genre med ett stort antal subgenrer och konventioner. Lika så filmmusiken, som har utvecklats från att från början till största del fylla en mer praktisk funktion än vad den kanske gör idag. Genom fokusgruppsdiskussioner har jag försökt få fram om det finns en grund till varför tittaren reagerar emotionellt på filmmusik. Deltagarna har i helhet varit överens om de grundläggande anledningarna som de tror påverkar det här, vilket framförallt visade sig vara associationer.

Palliative care is a care that focuses on providing end of life care but not to delay or hasten death. Despite training, nurses often show a lack of knowledge in attitude, ethics and healthcare issues of palliative care. The nurse in palliative care has a central role in caring of the dying patient and therefore a big responsibility. However, palliative care is a low priority in basic training. The aim of this study is to investigate the roles of nurses in palliative care and if there is a need for increased education in the subject.

Our reason for this study is to research how non- profit organizations focused on fundraising, market themselves to create and keep the relationships with their potential and existing contributors. With this study we also want to create an image of the meaning of marketing, applied to non- profit organizations focused on fundraisings, struggle towards attracting more contributors. We also aim to research what our respondents believe will be the outcomes of marketing on nonprofit organizations in the future. For this essay we have chosen a qualitative method which consists of six interviews with respondents whom have different knowledge and experiences of the non- profit sector. We chose this method to be able to view our main subject from different aspects and through the interviews also form a more profound picture of the non- profit sector and also, finally, se what the respondents think about the issue.

Syfte: Studien avser att undersöka studenters uppfattningar kring vilka behov som ligger bakom till varför studenter väljer att titta på reality-TV och hur de tolkar reality-TV som genre.Metod: Studien är en receptionsstudie med fokusgruppsintervjuer.Slutsatser: Denna studie bekräftar den föreställningen om att underhållning inom realitygenren uppfattas som enkel och lättsam TV. Resultatet från fokusgruppsundersökningen lyfter också fram reality-TV som något underhållande, utbildande och socialiserande att titta på. Reality-TV är enligt vår forskning tätt sammankopplat med en del moraliska frågetecken kring hur underhållning skapas och tittarnas tvivel kring hur verklig verkligheten egentligen är genom TV-rutan..
