Utifrån frågeställningarna "Vilka författare finns representerade i läroböckerna och hur ser representationen ut med avseende på texternas genre och originalspråk, författarnas kön och när texterna är skrivna?" och "I vilka sammanhang används skönlitteraturen i läroböckerna?" undersöks det skönlitterära texturvalet och dess sammanhang i två läroböcker i svenska för gymnasieskolans svenskämne, Svenska etc. och Svenska timmar genom en kvantitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet vad gäller det skönlitterära urvalet i de undersökta läroböckerna visar att det kvantitativt sett finns en stark manlig norm och ett ännu starkare västerländskt perspektiv samt att de flesta skönlitterära texterna hör till genren lyrik men att epiken får större utrymme per utdrag. Dramatiken är underrepresenterad som genre i båda läroböckerna och kvinnliga dramatiker saknas helt.

Uppsatsen ämnar svara på en övergripande frågeställning som lyder: På vilket sätt kan genrer fungera som ett stöd vid design av IT-artefakter? Detta är uppdelat i två syften. Det ena är att utreda om ett medvetet arbete med genrer kan stödja designprocessen vid design av IT-artefakter. För att svara på detta görs en genomgång om vad litteraturen säger om genrer och sedan testas detta på ett designfall som genomförs på en handdatorapplikation, närmare bestämt ett mobilt säljstöd. Det andra syftet är att vid förberedande och genomförande av detta designfall samla ihop och sammanställa designråd lämpade för handdatorer.

Syftet med denna studie är att få ökad kunskap om hur den skriftliga förmågan hos andraspråkselever på kursen svenska som andraspråk 1 ser ut med avseende på den övergripande textstrukturen för beskrivande genre; närmare bestämt genrestegen rubrik, klassifikation och detaljer. Vidare är syftet att undersöka om det finns skillnader i den skriftliga förmågan mellan texter från elever med tidigare respektive senare startålder.Materialet som används i studien för att belysa forskningsfrågorna utgörs av åtta elevtexter som skrivits utifrån skrivuppgiften: Beskriv hur det är att vara andraspråkselev i svensk skola. Studiens informanter består av åtta gymnasieelever på kursen svenska som andraspråk 1. Elevernas startålder, när de började i svensk förskola eller skola, har en spridning från 2 till 15 år.Materialet bearbetas utifrån en modifierad version av Kuyumcus ?Bedömningsmall i ett genrepedagogiskt perspektiv? (Kuyumcu, 2009:126f).

The purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to examine what happens when the solitary reading experience becomes a social activity. The study is based on semi-structured interviews with three women belonging to the same reading group. I have used Sten Furhammar?s reading dimensions and categories to explain their reading experience, and Jenny Hartley, Elizabeth Long and Immi Lundin to explain the function that the reading group has for them, and the relationship between reading experiences in a book-discussion.My result shows that they started the reading group because they lacked an opportunity to discuss their readings with people that had the same interest in books. They do all have different ways to read, which is displayed by Furhammar?s categories personal and impersonal reading for experience.

Every now and then, in media research studies and in various newspaper articles, schoolboys´ issues reading habits are discussed. Much of what is written concerns boys decreasing marks in the field of literature, in the Swedish language and also their negative attitude towards reading books. Some scholars claim that boys do not read because they consider reading books as a women´s duty. Other people believe that underlying causes for boys negative attitude towards reading is biological, that it´s genetic and consequently physical, and that male and female brains are functionally different. Another theory of today is that boys actually reads, but not that kind of texts and literature that they are exposed to in school.Based on a selection of these opinions and theories, and my own experience and interest for questions concerning school and gender, the aim of this studie was to examine boys worlds of reading.

The purpose of this paper is to develop an idea about geography in literature and through the study of science fiction literature examine the ?future city?. With the perspective that the city is a social construction and through the use of discourse theory, I have tried to emphasize how the future city is a representation of cultural discourses and in what way geography in literature can be used to increase our understanding of urban places. My intention with this paper has also been to find a way to connect the fictional future city with today?s urban planning discussion about the future city.

The aim of this study was to, on the basis of normalization and autonomy; investigate how staff working in group homes discusses about sexuality of people with an intellectual disability. Our study was based on ten semi-structured interviews of both care staff and heads of group homes to get responses from different levels within the same organization. The empirical material was analyzed through the theory of social constructivism, which focuses on how we construct the world through interaction and language, and the normalization principle whose goal is that all people with developmental disabilities should have the opportunity to live like all other people. We view these theories as useful to gain understanding of the questions in our study. The result of this study showed that the subject only comes up for discussion when problems arise, that the communication on the subject is inadequate and more discussion is requested.

Undersökningen gjordes i en klass tre med 26 barn och en klasslärare. Syftet med undersökningen var att se hur en lärare som inte arbetade efter en specifik genrepedagogik arbetade med genrer i en klass, då det uttryckligen står i kursplanen att alla elever skall kunna skriva och läsa olika genrer. Uppsatsen är utformad efter tre intervjuer rörande genrer samt observationer kring vad för genre de arbetade med samt i vilken utsträckning de förekom. Resultatet av intervjuerna och observationerna ställdes sedan mot teoriavsnittet och analyserades mot varandra i analysen, för att se om lärarens sätt att arbeta kring genrer stämde överens med det som forskare och teoretiker anser vara gynnande för eleverna. Resultatet av analysen visade att läraren inte ansåg att hon arbetade med genrer utan med texttyper, genrer visades i detta fall vara en synonym till hennes uppfattning av texttyper.

The aim of this essay is to study how older art can be used to illustrate our contemporary society with a critical view and also to contribute to the discussion of for what reason we keep our public collections.My essay is based on a case study of the 2008 summer exhibition ?Queer: desire, power and identity? at Nationalmuseum. The exhibition used art from different eras to show how the ideals, norms of gender, and how the symbols for power have changed throughout history. It also reveals how certain art or artists have been excluded from art history due to their sexual orientation.This study is based on three questions:-          How can older art be used to illustrate a to our society contemporary theme?-          How can a public museum make an exhibition with a clear and active message?-          How can a clear and potentially sensitive message be shown without risking to be provocative towards either the visitors or the person(s) it is about.My material is based on the exhibition, the work material from the museum, protocols, photographs, exhibition texts, and interviews with the creators of the exhibition.

In all three selected works the protagonists are historical Swedish women who are known for being a part of the cultural sphere of their time. Computational thinking was brought to the forefront in 2006 by Jeannette Wing. Computational thinking is a problem solving method that uses computer science techniques.The thesis is analyzing computational thinking and how it could be applied to graph theory. Characteristics and main fields from computational thinking is being analysed. This analysis is applied to graph theory to see the potential in developing a proposal for how an exercise can look for an introductory course in discrete data types. Only basic knowledge of graphs is required to perform the exercise.
