Syftet med denna undersökning var att beskriva och få en fördjupad förståelse i hur musikundervisning i klass på gymnasiets musikestetiska program kan bidra till ett ökat självförtroende och dess betydelse för lärandet hos den enskilde eleven. Frågeställningarna har främst fokuserat på begreppet självförtroende, hur det ses på av olika lärare samt hur de förhåller sig till detta i sin undervisning. Vidare ville vi undersöka huruvida ett negativt självförtroende påverkar elevens prestationer inom klassundervisningssammanhang på gymnasiets musikestetiska program samt om det finns verktyg som lärarna använder sig av för att öka elevernas självförtroende. Studien genomfördes i form av fyra stycken kvalitativa intervjuer med verksamma musiklärare inom gymnasiets musikestetiska program. Vi har bland annat kommit fram till att de intervjuade inte känner till någon specifik forskningsteoretiskt förankrad metodik, men har dock alla utvecklat egna sätt för att bibehålla eller stärka sina elevers självförtroende inom klassundervisning i musik..

HiGtech är en projektgrupp på Högskolan i Gävle vilka konstruerar och bygger energisnåla tävlingsfordon. Ett av fordonen tävlar i Shell Eco Marathons prototypklass för bensindrivna förbränningsmotorer och drivs av en på högskolan konstruerad motor. Motorns effekt överförs till en kedjetransmission via en inköpt och modifierad centrifugalkoppling. Den nuvarande centrifugalkopplingen väger cirka 1,5 kg. Då en stor faktor för tävlingsresultatet är fordonets rullmotstånd, vilken beror av fordonets vikt, har målet med detta arbete varit att konstruera en specialanpassad centrifugalkoppling, vars vikt endast är hälften så stor som motorns nuvarande koppling.

Detta examensarbete utfördes på IDA (Institutionen för datavetenskap) vid Linköpings universitet. Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att utveckla ett program som skulle skapa förutsättningar för generativ konst med hjälp av MyPaint som är ett digitalt rit/målarverktyg. Metoden gick ut på att registrera vad användaren skapat för komponenter, dvs. musinteraktioner och kortkommandon, och därefter använda dem algoritmiskt.Examensarbetet resulterades i ett program (SharpArt), som fångar musinteraktioner samt simulerar tangentbordstryckningar (kortkommandon) från och till Mypaint, vilket i sin tur skapar komponenter som används algoritmiskt. Programmet kan även positionera objektet på canvasen enligt det önskade koordinatvärdet..

Unemployment amongst Swedish citizens is higher within the group which falls under the designation foreign-born. The aim of this thesis is to examine which municipal factors that can explain the differences in unemployment amongst foreign-born relative to native born.The empirical models are examined with both cross-sectional data for the year of 2010 and panel data for the years of 2002-2012. The examination is implemented through a linear regression analysis of the type Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and Fixed Effect regressions. A theory section will be presented where the theory on Non-Accelerating Inflation Rate (NAIRU), theories on discrimination and country-specific human capital are illustrated.The result from the cross-sectional data shows that the amount of foreign-born, the level of foreign-born immigrated from Nordic countries have a significant negative effect on unemployment amongst foreign-born. The general unemployment shows a significant positive effect on the unemployment amongst foreign-born.

In 1989 the United States choose, after years of conflict, to carry out a military intervention in Panama, to remove Manuel Noriega, convicted for drug dealing and for threatening the lives of the Americans living in Panama. The aim of this study is to examine whether George H. W Bush?s arguments for the military intervention comply with the principles of the just war.The method chosen for this study is a qualitative literature study, based primarily on secondary data. It is a case study with two complementing theories, the theory of the just war and the world system theory.The result showed that the American intervention both can be justified and unjustified following the principles of the Just War Theory.

Examensarbetet utfördes vid produktionsenheten för Hägglunds Drives AB i Mellansel, Ångermanland. Syftet har varit att föreslå förändringar inom produktionssystemet för att den totala ledtiden för hydraulmotor Compact CA skall reduceras. Arbetet har baserats på en analys över hur produktionsstyrning och orderhantering skall fungera för att en ledtidsreducering från fyra veckor till nio dagar skall vara möjlig. Ledtiden har i arbetet definierats som den tid som åtgår från att en order läggs fram till att en motor är leveransklar till kund. Vidare har arbetet fokuserats på de sex huvuddetaljer som ingår i varje motor och som tillverkas från råämne till slutdetalj.

Background:It is always fascinating to observe the events that affect the stock market, especially as the numbers of influencing factors are so many and various. Political elections are important events in society and affect the corporate environment in different ways depending on which political party that is in power. This brings up the question of whether political elections are important enough to affect the stock market; and it is this question we intend to analyse in this paper.Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether political elections affect the stock market and to discuss the reasons for any possible affect that might be found.Procedure:An appropriate and thoroughly tested method to investigate if an event affects the stock market or not, is to do an event study. Subsequently we chose to do an event study on whether the Swedish general elections in 2002 and 2006 affected the Stockholm Stock Exchange. In order to give the analysis more depth we have also chosen to interview people with knowledge of the stock market.

In Swedish school library research, the role of the school library has seldom been studied in a subject-specific context. When it has been, the subject has usually been a theoretical subject such as Swedish or Social studies. The purpose of this master's thesis is to study what role or roles the school library can play in a different context, in the program-specific subjects at a trade oriented program in the Swedish upper secondary school, and to determine what factors affect the possibility for the school library to play a role in such a context. The Food Programme was selected as the specific program to be studied. In this program, the students learn a trade, in this case bakery, and the teaching in the program-specific subjects can be expected to be practical in nature.

The purpose of this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis on how the events that took place in Skandia AB during the end of the 1990s have been portrayed in media, and how this has affected the general debate concerning bonuses and incentive plans. The paper studies relevant newspaper articles published in Sweden?s largest business newspaper, Dagens Industri (DI), over a period ranging from 2002 to 2008. The major findings of this paper include that bonuses are widely used as incentives in Swedish companies and that the issue of bonuses as an incentive form has lead to a prevalent debate. Furthermore, the questionable events that took place in Skandia AB during the end of 1990s have affected the general debate concerning bonuses.

  ABSTRACTThere is a limited possibility for many of the concert-goers to go behind the stage and follow the work process with putting together a program for the concert season in a concert institution. The purpose of this study is to describe a concert institution's work with developing a concert program for each season. This is done through a presentation of the factors affecting the work. This is a descriptive essay and a case study of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. Interviews have been made with people directly involved in the work or affected by the outcome of the work process.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the development of profitability and capital structure in Swedish quoted companies during the period of 1990 to 2004. Further, the aim is to determine the relationship between profitability and leverage in order to conclude whether the choice of capital structure supports the pecking order theory or the trade-off theory of capital structure. The findings show that return on assets fluctuates between 3 and 11 percent and that return on equity fluctuates between 3 and 22 percent during the period. Further, the leverage and the cost of debt have decreased. This indicates lowered financial risk in Swedish quoted companies in the period between 1990 and 2004.

This thesis examines political consumerism as a political tool for change. Consumers' attitudes and behaviour towards political consumerism is of special interest. The method used is a questionnaire with 59 participating students. Their answers are analysed both quantitatively and, to a lesser degree, qualitatively. The theoretical framework consists of Fishbein and Ajzen's theory of reasoned action and previously published research of essence.The consumers in this study generally rank corporate social responsibility (CSR) as important.

The purpose of this paper is to examine whether there is a difference between the respondent groups preparers and non-preparers position in IASBs question if a reversal of previously impaired goodwill should be prohibited. The background is an exposure draft sent out by the IASB and we examine the answers, in form of comment letters, sent in by the respondents to reach our purpose.
