The Swedish retail business has been characterized by a small number of ruling distributors. These distributors have been affected negatively by the internationalization which has made it possible for international distributors to establish their stores in the Swedish market. These international distributors are focused on low price stores. Their establishment on the Swedish market has led to a decrease in market shares for the Swedish distributors, which has damaged their profitability. Another change that has affected the Swedish distributors is that the behavior and needs of the customers has changed.

Det hÀr examensarbetet har syftat till att svara pÄ hur filmen anvÀnds som undervisningsverktyg och hur lÀrare ser pÄ filmen som en del av deras undervisning och arbetsmetoder. Fokus lÄg pÄ gymnasieskolan och framför allt Àmnena Svenska och Engelska. Fem lÀrare intervjuades utifrÄn tre olika teman (synen pÄ filmen som undervisningsverktyg, arbetsmetoder samt pedagogiska mÄl) och de resultat som framgick stÀlldes sedan mot tidigare forskning för att se skillnader, likheter och gemensamma nÀmnare. Intervjusvaren och tidigare studier visade sig vara i stort sett enhetliga, med liknande svar och tankar kring filmmediet i gymnasieskolans vÀrld. Det framgick framför allt att filmen som medium ses som underlÀgset litteraturen och att anvÀnda film i undervisningssituationer anses vara ett ganska ?ofint? arbetssÀtt.

Efter att ha gjort en del research om vampyrer, sĂ„ mĂ€rkte jag att de ibland kopplats ihop med varulvar, frĂ€mst inom film men Ă€ven i en del litteratur. Dock kunde jag inte hitta sĂ„ mycket skrivet om deras myters sammankoppling, vilket gjorde att jag fick idĂ©n till den hĂ€r uppsatsen. Syftet med min uppsats Ă€r att undersöka hur myter skapas i film, vilket jag gjorde genom en undersökning om hur myterna om varulvar och vampyrer gestaltas i Underworld-filmerna, med fokus pĂ„ tematiken kring det djuriska och mĂ€nskliga. Även om dessa filmer bygger mycket pĂ„ action, snygga effekter och lĂ€skiga monster sĂ„ finns det Ă€ndĂ„ en underliggande story som gĂ„r att koppla till djupare saker. Jag kom fram till att Underworld-filmerna gestaltar vampyrerna som mer mĂ€nskliga och varulvarna mer djuriska.

Politics in today's society unfolding more and more in the media, but the media content is limited. Therefore, the media must constantly make choices, choices which are specific to each object. The purpose of this study is to examine how Olof Palme is portrayed as a politician and private individual in the documentary film Palme - Àlskad och hatad, and also how Carl Bildt is portrayed as a politician and private individual in the documentary film Bildt - excellensen.To study the documentary films I use a qualitative textual analysis with a focus on a narrative analysis. In the narrative analysis, I have been inspired by the categoricalcontent- based approach to study the documentary films. In my analysis, with the help of theories of mediatization of politics, documentaries and stories, I interpret and analyze the films to make them more understandable.The conclusions of the study is that Palme in his role as a politician is portrayed as a humane person who cares about the individual.

Our increasingly globalized world has contributed to that more Swedish companies has expanded their business to more distant areas. One of these Swedish companies that now stands before their first international expansion is the Swedish fast-food chain Max AB. Max has chosen to start their expansion in Saudi Arabia, a country far away from Sweden, not only in terms of geographical distance but also in cultural. The cultural differences that Max will encounter may affect the business and result in to various adaptations that must be done in order to establish successfully. The thesis investigates the existing circumstances for the fastfood business in Saudi Arabia and shows which adaptations international fast-food chains should or must do as a result of the cultural distances they encounter.

Film is a medium which is mainly used for entertainment. It is a medium that is constantly expanding, and beside from it being a relaxing activity it can also be used for educational purposes. This is an aspect of film that should be valued, since it has the possibility to engage, educate and move its viewers. This is a study which aim is to analyze how employees within the care of disabled in UmeÄ have perceived educational movies. The movies that the staff has watched are a part of a basic training program, which all employees are required to fulfill.

In my work as speech and language pathologist I often meet people emerging from coma andtheir experiences intrigue me. Coma is an eluding human condition that offers a challenge formodern science and our view on body and mind. In my Master project in Creative Writing Iwanted to try to enter this zone that is so hard for a clinician to reach: the personal experienceof being in a coma. By writing HUSK MIDAS I have tried to create a realistic fiction based onresearch on coma state and real-life stories of people waking up from coma.In my exploration of the coma state I found that lucid dreaming is common apart fromdreaming, many patients experience sensory inputs like sound and touch which aremisinterpreted and woven into dreams and creating a feeling of confusion and fear.Coma is a frequent theme in literature and film but is often depicted unrealistically andmisleadingly. A few works like Artur Lundkvist?s Journeys in Dream and Imagination andthe film The Descendents by Alexander Payne show a more reality based fiction.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka Pantrarna genom att se pÄ vad för typ av social rörelse Pantrarna Àr. Sociala faktorer som lÄg bakom bildandet, deras förebilder, metoderna de anvÀnde, hur de organiserade sig och vad de ville uppnÄ undersöktes. Bakgrunden till bildandet av en social rörelse som Pantrarna var komplex och flera teorier och begrepp fick dÀrför anvÀndas för att försöka förklara kontext sÄvÀl som Pantrarna som social rörelse. Uppsatsen Àr gjord genom en kvalitativ metod bestÄende av intervjuer, innehÄllsanalys pÄ filmen om dem, observation vid deras festival, netnografisk studie av rörelsen dÀr Facebook,Youtube och deras hemsida studerats. De viktigaste resultatet som hittades var att Pantrarna Àr en social rörelse som bygger pÄ ett konfliktperspektiv dÀr de anvÀnder metoder som att storma politikers möten och genom demonstrationer.

This essay examines the possibilities of writing a counter history about Anne Charlotte Leffler that does not have - like most of the previous studies and literary histories upon Leffler - the Swedish boundaries or the Swedish language as its model. That is to say that this essay, in opposition to most of the hitherto writings on Anne Charlotte Leffler, values the international reception as high as the Swedish reception. It does so by undertaking a case study based on the German review Deutsche Rundschau, which published six short stories by and three articles about Anne Charlotte Leffler between 1884 and 1894. The short stories and the articles in Deutsche Rundschau are compared with two other documents of reception that contribute to the understanding of the German reception of Leffler. The examination shows that the focus on the international reception can contribute to illuminate aspects of Anne Charlotte Lefflers authorship that previously have been disregarded.

Purpose This thesis tries to create an understanding of how male homosexual entrepreneurs, both as persons and as a concept, relates to the fact that entrepreneurship, as well as the society as a whole, is heteronormative. Moreover, it examines by what methods the male homosexual entrepreneurs cope with the seemingly paradox of a homosexual man who also is an entrepreneur. Method The method has been qualitative from a social construction-point of view. We have made semi-structured interviews with nine male homosexual entrepreneurs and structured the findings from the interviews with a computer programme and mind mapping techniques. We have compared the structured findings with theories, in an abducting manner, to find out an answer to the purpose of this thesis.
