Denna rapport innehåller en redogörelse för mitt examensarbete, Charlie åkerkarusell, som gjordes vid Carl Malmsten ? Furniture Studies, LinköpingsUniversitet, våren 2012. I mitt arbete undersöker jag hur man kan serietillverkaen liten produkt med hjälp av mallar och fixturer anpassade för film och hur mandokumenterar processen med hjälp av film. Jag har tittat på olika filmer som rörämnet och olika typer av mallar för att sedan formge en liten figur vid namnCharlie, som serietillverkades i en serie av 30 stycken. Jag utförde några avmomenten i serietillverkningen med hjälp av en typ mall som jag konstruerade.Mallen, som jag valt att kalla för karusellmall, är inte den mest rationella men ärdäremot betydligt mer spännande och spektakulär än en traditionell mall.

The purpose of this project was to invite a changed perception of active sitting, to introduce a more active way of sitting in office environments and destigmatize an active sitting posture such as straddling by giving active sitting products conscious aesthetics based on environment and positive associations. The goal with this project was an active sitting product for office environments with aesthetics considered encouraging to movement in a relaxed way, regardless of age and gender, and connect to materials and aesthetics related to activity, experience and recreation. Horseback riding, retro style surfing and skateboarding was an entry of investigation. The project was based on existing active sitting products, their function and production techniques. It was not a part of the project to investigate new models of sitting.

Hoppsasteg ? med känsla av glädje är ett examensprojekt som pågått under 20 veckor. Namnet har jag valt för att det är en känsla som jag vill uppnå under perioden. Syftet har varit att genomföra projektet med lust, göra figurativa, svartvita mönster med ett tecknat uttryck och att göra en flexibel möbel. Mönstren har ritats i tusch, det har tryckts på både tyg och tapet.

We are surrounded by things. They have their own personalities. Some evokes our emotions. We want to own them. We develop strong relationships to each other.

Through this study we want to enlighten how different companies work with their internal branding and how well they succeed in this process. We also want to examine if there are any differences in this work depending on the companies market position. Following question is used to investigate this process;- In what way and how well are companies working, depending on market position to implement and maintain their work with the internal brand?For the study a theoretical model was created based on our existing theory. The model contains three main variables; create, communicate and uphold; i.e.

Mitt arbete är ett sökande efter en skapandeprocess som passar mig. Jag riktar blicken utåt för att hitta nya sätt att göra på och att ge fler möjligheter i mitt eget skapande och i förlängningen komma närmare mitt eget sätt att skapa. Genom intervjuer med verksamma kulturutövare inom olika media, såsom designers, en serietecknare, en musiker och en poet söker jag efter nya möjliga metoder och processer. Liksom de personer jag intervjuar vill jagmed mitt skapande dela med mig av berättelser sprungna ur mitt jag och ursprung. Jag vill berätta för att väcka tankar, minnen och reflektion.Min utgångspunkt är metodiken som förespråkas på Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies samt litteratur om skapande och jaget som utgångspunkt.

A woman is dying of cancer, she refuses to use her walking aid. Because she is embarrassed. This means she can?t leave her house, and her last days become very limited.Why do we act like this?Can the view we have of products adapted for disabled be changed by working with colour, texture, form and materials?There are many products adapted for disabled, the products often have a good function and well developed ergonomic aspects but the visual aspect leaves a lot to wish for. There is neither effort nor money put in to the exterior design of most of these products.A lot of the solutions that are invented for adapted products can be used in design of ?regular? products.Why should we then divide products in to adapted and non-adapted.

IKEA HaparandaTornio employ some two-hundred people in its Furniture retail store.Keeping track of staff statistics and employee information has previously been achievedthrough the use of a basic Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet. The store?s human resourcesdepartment requested an upgrade to this system with the hope of speeding up andsimplifying the administrative process, as well as to make it easier to monitor HR-relatedtarget statistics. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. The project draws on research in usability design and cognitivepsychology to develop a user-friendly interface.

This work is a study in how I as a designer can create the conditions for people to work, socializing and refreshments at one place. A place that encourages creativity, where I made a suggestion at a community table designed for Urban Deli?s new business. By visiting various similar sites I have identified what I think is important in an environment like this and then gave an answer to it in a visual form.A cafe-office will draw lots of different people. Which guests come here to work? Residents, freelancers, but also those who may want surrounded by a new creative work place and maybe leave their regular offices for a day at Urban Deli.

This thesis is about a part of the marquetrytechnique, scorching. Scorching is made by heating up something, put a veneer into the heated substance and make a controlled burning. This technique is old but still used today and have according to me great potential for development. In my work I wanted to give the scorching greater room then I earlier have seen. I wanted the scorching to be the dominant ingredient for a decorative element in a piece of Furniture or an interior.

With self-hypnosis as a method, I work with levels of consciousness in relation to practice. Focus lies in the relation between a language of materials and an inner experience. How do material expressions function as mediums of a spiritual matter between a beholder and me? The trance functions as a space for a spiritual contact/communication. Abstract images of crystalline glaze on ceramic tiles are direct results of these acts.

This thesis has been carried out at Diac Metal AB at Torsvik outside of Jönköping. The company produces parts for, amongst others, office Furniture and store equipment. The essay will be concentrated on one detail which is included in many of their products.Today the company uses an ordering quantity based on experience which is rarely updated. Furthermore the operations are performed in both the company?s own engineering workshop but also an external workshop.The purpose with the report has been to check whether an updating of today?s batch shaping and ordering system can mean simpler storage control and possibly cost reduction.

I mitt konstnärskap förhåller jag mig till speciella fenomen som upptar mitt engagemang och som jag relaterar till i mitt arbete. För mig har begreppen; Makt, Familj och Institution, varit särskilt viktiga och jag betraktar dem som mina huvudteman och har valt att skriva om dem i dessa grupperingar;Institution ? Makt ? ArkitekturInstitution ? Makt ? FamiljMakt ? TeckningJag kommer förklara närmare hur jag ser på dem och visa på hur de samverkar.Jag utgår från mitt konstnärskap och kommer beskriva hur det och min arbetsprocess ser ut samt beskriva tidigare verk och pågående examensarbete. I kapitlet om mina verk framgår det att tematiken jag nämnt ovan genomsyrat dem alla.Jag kommer ta upp sånt som betyder mycket för mig, och vad jag tar spjärn emot i tematik liksom i arbetsprocess.För mig handlar mitt arbete om att hitta den berättelse jag söker och låta mig föras genom konsten av mitt eget undersökande. Att utmana mina föreställningar och att låta dem möta det jag fascineras av.

Denna magisteruppsats har genomförts vid Spaljisten AB och behandlar produktionsfilosofin Lean-produktionoch produktionskonceptet TPM. Huvudobjektet för studierna var en maskinlinje för sågning, kantlistning, fräsningoch borrning av planmöbeldetaljer (Homag VI). En nulägesanalys genomfördes för att kartlägga stopporsakeroch OEE-talet (35,9 %). Inom samtliga klasser av stopptider är det framförallt kortvariga avbrott (81 %), vilkettyder på kroniska fel i linjen. Tillsammans med maskinlinjens personal genomfördes en störningsanalys(Ishikawadiagram).
