The essay's aim is to create an understanding for the act; ritual, and the functions or possible functions in an organisation. Many of the functions attribute to rituals lie in the ritual's double function. A ritual can function both as a practical/functional and a symbolic act. The functionality in a ritual doing is not depending of the "symbolic meaning". The functional value exists there always.

In Sweden, selection for leanness in pigs has been going on for almost a century. This sometimes results in gilts and sows being too lean and consequently in a risk for reduced reproduction and health status. The Swedish recommendation includes that gilts should be mated after seven months of age, after one documented oestrus, at 120-140kg live weight and with a backfat thickness of 16-20mm. Five gilt producing herds were visited and records of age, heart girth (for weight estimation), body condition (visual estimation), backfat thickness and exterior were made. The same records were also taken in four gilt buying herds on newly purchased gilts.

The aim with this study is to see how social workers apprehend the law, support and service for persons with certain functional impairments (LSS) and the application. We interviewed six social workers in six different municipalities to get a distribution between small and big municipalities. In the study we have used a qualitative method with half structured interview questions, since we wanted to get a comprehension for the social workers apprehensions. We have used a communication theory and a role theory in the study. The result showed that the social workers consider that the LSS is important, but that there are a few difficulties in the application.

The equality principle, enshrined in the Swedish Constitution, states that everyone is equal before the law. However, previous research indicates that judgements are influenced by conceptions of gender and sex. The purpose of this study is to examine how women and men are portrayed in judgements regarding assault crimes. This study will be conducted through the lens of social constructivism, gender theories by Judith Butler and Yvonne Hirdman and the theory of ideal victims and perpetrators. This study is a document analysis based on 28 assault judgements, involving 14 female and 14 men defendants decided by the district court in 2024.

Functional Subgrouping är en metod för konflikthantering, användbar på såväl individ, grupp som organisationsnivå. Konflikter kan definieras som meningsskiljaktigheter innefattande störningar i kommunikationen vilket kan leda till psykologisk belastning på individer. Vikten av funktionella konfliktlösningsstrategier är således stor. Syftet med föreliggande kvalitativa studie var att skapa övergripande förståelse för metoden utifrån användning samt för- och nackdelar i relation till annan konfliktlösning. Fyra halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes vilka analyserades tematiskt.

This present study is a result of a research that I made . My purpose is to find out how the debate about inclusion looked like back in the history. My research was about the view we had absolut inclusion in the history, I also made some interviewes among teachers and students in the schools of today. I wanted to se their views about inclusion today and I wanted to know their opinions about inclusion. Did the students and the teachers have prejudice against other students with functional disabilities as Down syndrom and blindness? Abstract Denna uppsats behandlar frågeställningar kring konsumenters motivation och kvalitetsupplevelse i samband med köp och konsumtion av Functional Food. Vi har genomgående i uppsatsen haft ett konsument- och ett producentperspektiv för att kunna identifiera skillnader som kan föreligga mellan dessa två. På så sätt utröner vi om konsumentens kvalitetsupplevelse stämmer överens med de mervärden som producenten vill förmedla. Vi har även kartlagt vilka faktorer som motiverar konsumenter till köp av en Functional Food. Till vår hjälp i den empiriska del som grundar sig på kvalitativa djupintervjuer med ladderingteknik har vi haft tillgång till ProViva Active.

The use of background checks has lately become increasingly popular on the Swedish market and many companies use it as an evaluation tool when recruiting. This study investigates differences in the background screening procedure for recruitment to executive management positions and lower level positions. It also aims to answer why background checks are conducted, using a cultural and a functional perspective. The report takes an abductive approach and data has primarily been gathered through a survey directed to large Swedish companies.

With the right tools and methods the development work is facilitated, and it leads to products with fewer faults.This report shows in the form of a case study how an appropriate tool for functional testing can be selected and how it can be used within development of a website. An analysis of the tools available is reported and JSystem is selected as the most appropriate for this case.It turned out that JSystem could not be used fully as intended in terms of deployment, but a well-functioning alternative solution was developed.A number of test cases were created without any unsolvable problems and JSystem performed well. Vi har använt oss av en deduktiv ansats för att ta fram antagande om hur functional foodsföretag effektivt ska kommunicera sitt hälsobudskap. Dessa antaganden har vi sedantestat med kvalitativa empiriska undersökningar. Våra intervjuer presenteras i ett empirikapitel som sedan analyseras. Contemporary plant design can be examined by how it relates to two extremes - Nature and Art. This idea is explained by Noel Kingsbury in the book The Dynamic Landscape where he places designers and their projects on a gradient (Kingsbury, 2004). Nature, one of the extremes can be represented by a dynamic, species-rich plant design with native species and with nature as the ideal. The other extreme - Art implies a more static view on plant design. Here, the designs consist of colourful flowers, exotic species and cultivars with double flowers.
