An open fitting is suitable for persons with sloping hearing loss and relatively good low fre-quency hearing. Sensory neural hearing losses often have this type of configuration. A large ventilation canal gives a greater feeling of comfort and less occlusion. The purpose of this study was to look at the hearing aid benefit of open fitted hearing aids. Self report question-naires were sent out to 102 patients who were given ReSound AIR during the year of 2006 in Uddevalla.

Camatec is a Karlstadlocated consulting company, they make everything from pilot studies to complete projects in mechanical design and calculation. They even have their own patented product, Camcoil. It is a winder for steel strips and is used for example with hardening of the steel strip. The assignment has been to solve the problems encountered by some customers within this product.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur pedagoger inom förskolan arbetar för att lära sig mer om och fånga upp barns intressen . Detta undersöktes genom kvalitativa intervjuer med två verksamma pedagoger inom förskolan. Pedagogerna menade att en stor del av delaktighetsarbetet är att arbeta utifrån barns intressen. Men under intervjuerna kom det fram att pedagogerna anser det som svårt och problematiskt att fånga upp barns intressen. En omständighet som pedagogerna beskrev som svår, jobbig och problematisk var att fånga upp barnens verkliga intresse.

There is a clear difference between the way football players and leaders regard the role of the referee, compared to the way the refereeing body looks at it. The refereeing body regard themselves as fundamental for the existence of the sport, while the other mentioned parties merely see them as functional justice makers. This view places the referees outside the field of football. This establishes a football culture, which is conflicted when it comes to the role of the referees on the field. The conflict comes to its edge in youth football, where the referees are under severe pressure.

The purpose of this report is to answer the question:How do you create a media player that can stream music for a website?We started the work by searching the web and reading books about the subjectand found several technologies to use to stream media files over the internet.We decided upon using the http protocol and created the media player itself inMacromedia Flash.The website is mostly developed with PHP, JavaScript and CSS templates andthe websites design was created with Macromedia Dreamweaver and AdobePhotoshop. We also created an administrative system for the media player withPHP programming.The website contains a simple guestbook; the guestbook makes use of adatabase created with MySQL.Our work resulted in a webpage with a fully functional media player thatstreams audio files together with a corresponding administrative system for it..

My essay is on the subject of teachers work environment with focus on noise and communication. In the essay questions are raised on how a teacher can influence his or hers noisy work environment. A school is a large work place with many employees and is owned and administered by the county municipality which is an even bigger workplace. How big an acting space does a teacher have in such a large organization?My methods of research on these questions have been to conduct interviews and analyzing documentation from The Swedish Work Environment Authority.

Goodwill accounting has for a long time been, and with the implementation of IFRS in 2005, has become an even bigger issue. Critics mean that reporting of goodwill impairments is subject to discretion that can be used by the managers. We have applied a study made by Carlin and Finch (2009) on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm during 2006-2012. Our study contains 50 of the 255 public companies at 2012-12-31. The purpose of the study is to investigate if companies use an opportunistic discount rate when testing for impairment in goodwill and if the relation between goodwill and net profit before taxes, goodwill intensity, is an incentive for opportunism.

The aim of this study was to examine bilingual childrenslexical organization and to investigate weather bilingual children hadundergone the syntagmatic-paradigmatic shift in grade four. Thirtychildren from multi-ethnic areas were tested with Kent-Rosanoff wordassociation test in both Swedish and Arabic. The results showed thatmore than 40% of the children had undergone the shift in bothlanguages, 20 % had undergone the shift in only one of theirlanguages and almost 40% had not made the shift in any language. Acomparison with results from monolingual Swedish children in gradethree in a previous thesis, showed that the bilingual children in thisstudy did not reach the corresponding level of lexical organization.The study points to the necessity of including tests regarding lexicalorganization when assessing both mono- and bilingual children withsuspected language impairment. The study also underscores theimportance of supporting mother tongue development in bilingualchildren by for instance adequate mother tongue education.

Att studera hur tillgänglighet i offentlig miljö beskrivs i vetenskapliga artiklar och hur det påverkar delaktigheten i socila aktiviteter för personaer med fysisk funktionsnedsättning.Metod. Systematisk litteraturstudie av artiklar sökta i fyra olika databaser.Resultat. Elva artiklar publicerade 2002-2009 studerades och resultatet visar att tillgänglighet i offentlig miljö har stor betydelse för delaktighet i sociala aktiviteter men också graden av funktionsnedsättning, ålder samt upplevelse av hinder är faktorer som är avgörande.Konklusion.

The purpose of this work was to examine how the work situation of truckdrivers, especially long-haulage drivers, can be improved with respect to prolonged sedentaryoccupation. Mental fatigue and under-stimulation due to low cognitive load during long drivescan be major risk factors for traffic accidents. Physical strain injuries to both the skeleton andmuscles are common for this working group and minimal opportunity for daily exercise alsoincreases the risk of developing blood clots in the legs, which can have serious consequences forthe driver's health.An extensive background study, both theoretical and exploratory, was performed to identify thedrivers' concerns and comfort needs. Various treatments such as massage and active sitting wereinvestigated and existing products within the area studied.

Erfarenheter av detta gav inspiration till denna studie. Hur upplever människor att vara del av en organisation? Syftet med studien var att sammanställa beskrivningar av upplevelser från beprövade sätt att organisera omvårdnadsarbetet inom sjuksköterskans område.

Syftet med undersökningen är att få en uppfattning kring arbetet som sker på förskolan då det förekommer ett barn med språkstörning. Undersökningen består av fyra intervjuade pedagoger som delar sina kunskaper och erfarenheter kring att arbeta med språkstörning, vilka metoder de använder sig av, hur de anser att miljön på förskolan bör vara utformad samt hur de lägger upp en pedagogisk verksamhet för att barnen på bästa sätt ska utveckla sitt språkUr resultatet så framkommer det väldigt stor skillnad i både kunskap och pedagogernas kompetens gällande språkstörning, samt att de använder sig av metoder med både manuell och hjälpmedelsbaserad alternativ kompletterande kommunikation. Research shows that people with burnout experience a high degree of impairments in a range of cognitive functions including memory, attention and concentration. The overall aim of the present study is to investigate whether there is a correlation between subjective estimates of cognition and cognitive performance with objective tests in people with burnout with a focus on working memory and executive functions. Three specific questions were addressed; First, what cognitive problems are described and to what degree? Second, is the performance of executive and working memory tests related to self-reported cognitive problems? Third, are the self-reported cognitive problems related to measures of psychological distress? The study included 77 patients, 65 women and 12 men, with a mean age of 43.48 years. The results show that patients with burnout perceive themselves as having significantly impaired cognition in everyday life, which is clearly evident on the basis of the self-assessment forms PRMQ and CFQ.

In this master thesis, the possibilities of customizing a low-cost microprocessor with the purpose of replacing an existing microprocessor solution are investigated. A brief survey of suitable processors is carried out wherein a replacement is chosen. The replacement processor is then analyzed and extended with accelerators in order to match set requirements.The result is a port of the processor Lattice Mico32 for the FPGA curcuit Xilinx Virtex-5 which replaces an earlier solution using Xilinx MicroBlaze. To reach the set requirements, accelerators for floating point arithmetics and FIR filtering have been developed. The toolchain for the processor has been modified to support the addition of accelerated floating point arithmetics.A final evaluation of the presented solution shows that it fulfills the set requirements and constitutes a functional replacement for the previous solution..

Among researchers it has been established since decades that humans and animals have an internal biological clock that controls certain physiological mechanisms. One example regarding humans is the impairment of lung function during the night, causing the phenomenon ?nocturnal asthma? among asthmatics. Only a few studies concerning respiratory circadian rhythm in horses have been done previously and they showed a daily variation in horses with a chronic or an acute respiratory disease. The technique used in those studies was the conventional technique, which is invasive and less sensitive than the technique used in this study.
