Det litterära spädbarnet ? en undersökning av folkbibliotekens program för de allra yngsta barnen

The objective for this Master?s thesis is to study literary programs for infants at six Swedish public libraries, their relevance and importance for infants and how the infant?s perspective in the program design and implementation is taken into consideration. The questions I pose are: In which way do the programs take the infants need for development and their literary prerequisites into consideration? Which Functions can the programs have for infants? I have used a qualitative method, based on deep interviews with six library staff, working with literary programs. A model was developed based upon Daniel Stern?s theories of the interpersonal world of the infant together with Joseph Appleyard?s reading development theory.

åååååÅÅÅÅÅ TEMPO!! : En studie kring studenter och dryckesvisor

The aim with this essay has been to see how students use drinking-songs and what Function they have. I have also wanted to see how the traditions are carried on between the students. In order to do this, I have been observing three parties organised by three different student associations at Växjö University: Västkustens nation, Föreningarnas Festeri and Isterbandet. I have interviewed five people that have been attending the dinners. I have used Alan Merriam?s theory of use/Function and made interpretations of his theory.

Styrningen av den svenska förskolan

In this study we have focused on the operational management of the public pre-school in Sweden. We have studied how the governance system is designed, why it is designed this way and what impact it has on the operational management. This has been analyzed from a theory stating that there are two types of organizations: pay-driven and Function-driven. Through a case and document study we came to the conclusion that the pre-school is a Function-driven organization but is nowadays acting on a market and have adopted characteristics of a pay-driven organization. We connect this change to the phenomenon New Public Management.

Both groups followed a standardized training program at home, but the intervention group received additional support with regard to the aim of their training, as well as extra coaching during the training period of ten weeks. A Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the patients? pain. A 10 metre walking test, the Index of Muscle Function (IMF) and the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) were also used to evaluate knee Function.

Many of the Functions attribute to rituals lie in the ritual's double Function. A ritual can Function both as a practical/Functional and a symbolic act. The Functionality in a ritual doing is not depending of the "symbolic meaning". The Functional value exists there always.

This study is an evaluation of the runtime watch Function in a OEE software, knownas ProTAK. OEE stands for Overall Equipment Effectiveness, it?s a way to measurethe factories process efficiency. The runtimewatch Function allows the user to setup and monitor certain critical objects that are of importance for the pulp and paper process at the mill. The data from the runtimewatch can be correlated towards the suppliers specification for the components.

Utvärdering av en behandlingsperiod i varmt klimat för personer med pelvospondylit

The treatment consisted of both physical and theoretic lessons given of a rehabilitation team. All patients were examinated measured for physical Function and condition before treatment, after two weeks and at the end of the treatment. To measure physical Function, Timed-Stands Test, Timed Get Up and Go, The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index, Index of muscle Function and Functionestimitation of shoulder/arm were used.

Sexuella funktioner hos män med förvärvad ryggmärgsskada. En studie baserad på The Nordic Spinal Cord Injury Registry under åren 2005-2010.

Sexual Function in men with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) is usually affected to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the type of injury and physiological prerequisites. Social contexts and psychological factors are other aspects that affect sexual Function. Sexual dysFunction can lead to an impaired quality of life, depression and other illnesses. Njurfunktion hos hypertyreoida katter : en jämförelse mellan serumkreatinin och serumcystatin C

Hyperthyroidism and chronic kidney failure (CKD) are common diseases in older cats. It can be difficult to evaluate kidney Function in cats suffering from both conditions simultaneously. In the daily clinic serum creatinine is the analysis of choice when evaluating kidney Function and secondary glomerular filtration rate (GFR). This marker does not, however, detect kidney damage until about 75 % of the Function is lost. There are several other techniques available when investigating GFR but none are readily available for the small clinic.

Upplevelser av att ge palliativ vård utifrån sjuksköterskors perspektiv : En litteraturstudie

AbstractAim of the study: Aim of the study was to investigate whether there were any connections in time between different parts of care in patients with cardiac arrest and hypothermia treatment and cognitive and physical Function six months after cardiac arrest and to investigate neurological outcome related to primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm after six months and if there were any changes in cognitive and physical Functions as well as self-related health between discharge from hospital and six months after cardiac arrest.Method: The study included 39 patients admitted to three Swedish hospitals between 2008-2011. Cognitive and physical Function was evaluated with Cerebral Performance Cathegory, CPC completed with Mini Mental State Examination, MMSE for cognitive Function and Bartels Index, BI for physical Function and Euroqol-VAS for evaluating the self-related health.Result:  A significant connection was shown between time to start hypothermia treatment and BI, patients with longer time showed improved physical Function after six months.Majority of the participants (66,7 %) had Ventricular fibrillation/Ventricular tachycardia, VF /VT, as primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm and in this group CPC and BI was significant better compared with the asystole /Pulsless Electrical Aktivity, PEA group.CPC, MMSE, BI and Euroqol-VAS were all improved over time. Conclusion: Participants with VF /VT as primary registered cardias arrest rhythm had significant better cognitive and physical Function 6 months after hypothermia-treated cardiac arrest compared with participants with asystole/PEA as primary registered rhythm. This shows the importance of access to defibrillators in public places in the society and in hospitals and optimal education of lay people and medical staff. Cognitive and physical Function and self-rated health improves over time, which might be a very important reason to convey patients, relatives and medical staff to continue cognitive and physical rehabilitation. Keywords: Cardiac arrest, hypothermia, cognitive and physical Function, wellbeeing.
