When constructing a building, a number of aspects must be harmonized in order for it to fulfill requirements ? a building must fulfill requirements such a load-bearing, conservation of energy and a good indoor environment by means of, among other things, moisture proofing .Moisture problems in buildings can affect health negatively. As we are increasingly staying in indoors, demands on a good indoor environment are higher.This work starts with examining moisture problems in slab-on-ground solutions, and then links the various scenarios to moisture problems in a concrete slab of a real building. The building with moisture problems is located in Årby by in Borlänge and moisture damage was found in the slab at an apartment adjoining wall.By reviewing literature written within the field of moisture problem, making hand calculations and modeling in the program Comsol Multiphysics, judgments are made to find explanations as to why the rise of moisture occurred in the building in Årby by.Generally, the following guidelines may be used to reduce the risk of moisture problems in slab-on-ground constructions:Drying of construction moisture before laying the floor material.Using draining layer beneath the slab, to prevent capillary suction.Using insulation under the slab, partly for comfort and to establish the temperature difference between the ground and the concrete slab.Avoid direct contact between the wood and concrete, due to degradation and fouling smells that normally occurs.If necessary, use additional vapor barrier.In addition to the above, there are various methods for moisture-proof and moisture-monitoring by design or by the method ByggaF suited for the entire construction process various events..

Already in the late 1970´s it became clear that the traditional catalogs in libraries were not suited for children, neither their interests nor their way expressing themselves were accounted for. The goal of this thesis is to investigate if and how children?s OPACs (Open public access catalogs) interface design is at present adapted to the presumed audience of children. My method consists of literature studies and an investigation on the graphical interfaces in OPACs for children, according to the five criteria formulated by childrens library consultant Lena Lundgren and IT-consultant Kia Gumbel. The aims are to find out: a) what requirements for children?s OPAC interfaces and their usability are defined in literature and b) what the actual (real) features of the children?s OPAC interfaces are.

Effects of climate change, urbanization and global homogenization are resulted in the degradation of land and losses of natural habitats. Ecological design integrates nature into urban environment by respecting natural ecological principles and processes and creating resilient urban biotopes which also can be used by local urban communities. The aim of the thesis is to answer the research questions: How ecological design principles can be applied for re-design of Toledo Riverfront (with requirements of the design competition)? and What is the ecological design in landscape architecture? I participated in the USA design competition with the aim to create a vision and redesign of Toledo Riverfront in Ohio State, USA. The site is located in the south point of Lake Erie. As a result of a long industrial activity, riverfront of Toledo had been transformed into inaccessible and abandoned brownfields. In my proposal I applied ecological design principles on three scales: the city of Toledo by reinforcing of ecological connection and creating green corridors along the river; the intermediate scale by suggesting public parks along the river front and on the fine level by proposing detailed design including remediation of the site and use of dredged material.

The purpose of this study is to examine certain aspects of work with men who use violence in intimate relationships. In a Government bill in late 90s the Government presented its action plan on what is expected to be done in each municipality, but investigations show that the work is stationary. 46 percent of the men, who are in treatment, choose to cancel it. We wanted to find out how society will meet up with men who use violence in their intimate relationship and how to go about in the meeting. Those who lead us to the answers in this qualitative method are three social workers and a therapist who has the task of helping these men. The study is based on interviews from three municipalities in southern Sweden, the municipalities made ??as in between 30-60 000 residents and businesses are startups; theoldest has been in operation for five years.The results showed that they had chosen to put these activities under the sections of the Social Services but is counted as a separate project, as the driving force may apply for funding via the County Council.

Denna studies syfte är att synliggöra vilket förändringsarbete som sker inom den kommunala verksamheten när organisationer går från en hieraktiskt organisationsstruktur till en processinriktidad organisation. Studien genomfördes i en svensk kommun och fallstudie användes som metod. Den data som samlades in bestod av intervjuer av individer involverade i projektet, dokumentation och egna observationer. Analysen som gjordes på fallstudien utgick från fyra olika förändringsperspektiv. Genom perspektiven kan djupare förståelse skapas för det som händer i en organisation i förändring.

The aim of this thesis is to, from a feminist point of view, analyse the Universal Decimal Classification UDC, which is an international and widely used classification system. A number of the larger classification systems and subject heading lists have during the last decades been placed in the limelight of various gender studies and the systems treatment of women has been criticized. With this examination of the UDC, I dont merely wish to identify shortcomings and advantages with the UDCs way to treat men and women. The UDC is also used as an example of how the gender problem can be identified and interpretated in classification systems generally. My analysis is performed with a theoretical foundation in feminist science theories about knowledge and norms, together with a linguistic perspective on valuing and emotionally tinged language.

Denna studie handlar om hur man arbetar med ordinlärning i ett främmande språk.Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur ordinlärningen går till när man börjar läsa ett nytt språk.  Studiens huvudsakliga frågor är: vilka strategier använder lärarna sig av för att utveckla elevernas ordinlärning samt hur uppfattar lärarna elevernas ordinlärning. För att besvara dessa frågor har en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod med hermeneutisk ansats använts. De intervjuer som utförts kallas enligt Allan Bryman semistrukturerade och det är språklärare som undervisar i moderna språk som agerat informanter. Frågorna som användes i undersökningen har utformats enligt Allan Brymans råd om intervjufrågors utförande. Förutom intervjuer så har även litteraturstudier används för att kunna besvara arbetets frågeställningar.Resultatet av denna undersökning visar på att lärarnas sätt att arbeta med ordinlärning i huvudsak sker genom helt individuella arbetssätt.

Accessibility is today a topic of high current interest. It is a requirement for equality and a democracy question. By the year 2010, easy measured hindrances in all of Sweden's municipalities should be cleared away; this is stated in Swedish law. The physical accessibility to our public places is particularly important for functionally disabled people since it affects their possibilities to be outdoors and also their participation in society. When designing these places, it is difficult to find solutions that fit everybody, especially since good accessibility not only should fulfill all physical requirements of accessibility but also values of experience.

Denna rapport är en jämförande studie av byrålådors konstruktion under åren 1700-1820. Jag har med avstamp i faktiska objekt dokumenterat och förtydligat byrålådans konstruktion. I mitt sökande efter byråar med tidstypiska konstruktioner har jag besökt ett flertal museer och antikhandlare. Dokumentationen av de utvalda möblerna har haft stor betydelse för att klargö-ra konstruktionen och peka på eventuella brister som kan påverka hållbarheten.Det jag vill förmedla är att med kunskap om lådors konstruktion kan vi öka vår förståelse av den komplicerade sammansättning av delar som en låda är. Utifrån denna kunskap kan vi se-dan fatta bra och relevanta beslut om möbeln när det kommer till konservering.

In this work, I have studied whether if one can detect AD / HD in preschool. I have read some literature and searched on the Internet. I have also tried to get to interview people who are familiar with this topic, which has not been easy. I have questioned 13 persons if they would participate in an interview, but most have refused because they do not have time. I succeeded anyhow to get three persons, two special educators and a nurse on the BVC.

Denna rapporten behandlar hur ett webbaserat system för hantering av handböcker och utrustningslager, for operation- och anestesikliniken vid universitetssjukhuset i Linköping, kan realiseras. Den behandlar också hur man kan arbeta i grupp där kunskapsnivan varierar kraftigt mellan gruppmedlemmar.För att skapa systemet så togs en kravspecikation fram av projektgruppen tillsammans med kunden genom studiebesök och diskussion. Efter det skapades en arkitekturbeskrivning. Denna låg sedan som grund till utvecklingsarbetet. Resultatet blev ett system där alla plocklistor i handböckerna kopplades ihop med artiklar i artikeldatabasen.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka och jämföra två olika beräkningsmetoder när det kommer till beräkningar av väggskivor. Den ena beräkningsmetoden baserar sig på traditionella handberäkningar där anvisningarna i BBK 04 (Boverket 2004) och Betonghandbok Konstruktion (Lorentsen, Mogens, Cederwall, Krister & Östlund, Lars (red.) (1990)) följs. Den andra metoden baserar sig på finita elementmetoden, och utförs med hjälp av programmet Strusoft FEM-Design Wall. Med Finita elementmetoden delas konstruktionen upp i flera små delar, så kallade finita element, som sedan beräknas var för sig, och sedan sätts alla delarna ihop till ett resultat för hela konstruktionen. Två olika väggskivor beräknades, en solid väggskiva samt en väggskiva med ett dörrhål i. Vid jämförelsen på den solida väggskivan visade sig resultaten stämma väl överens med varandra.

Problem/Bakgrund: Arbetet behandlar sociala strukturer och samvaro mellan medlemmar i studentföreningen Ateneum och undersöker hur de diskurser som ligger som grund för den politiska gemenskapen påverkar sättet att umgås och tala om sig själv.Syfte: Mitt syfte är att redogöra för hur gemenskapen medlemmarna emellan konstrueras och reproduceras utifrån deras politiska ideologi.Kortfattad beskrivning av uppsatsens utgångspunkter och undersökningens upplägg: Jag använder mig av kvalitativ metod där fokus ligger på den individuella upplevelsen ur ett etnometodologiskt perspektiv. Jag ger en bakgrundsbeskrivning av föreningen och redogör för mitt metodologiska tillvägagångssätt samt eget intresse och förförståelse för fenomenet. Detta följs av ett avsnitt om mina teoretiska utgångspunkter och därefter analysen. Arbetet avslutas med en sammanfattning.Slutsatser/Resultat: Upplevelsen av gemenskapen i föreningen präglas av motsättningar mellan diskursen om öppenhet och tolerans för skilda åsikter och diskursen om en enad ideologisk front där medlemmarna gör anspråk på en "sann" tolkning av verkligheten. Den senare genererar motstånd mot gällande politiska doktriner och tar sig uttryck i olika motståndsstrategier, som i sin tur för medlemmarna närmare varandra.

This report shows the process of the development of a sensor module for the seed drills of Väderstad Verken AB. The module is supposed to replace existing solutions, provided that it is better from both a constructional- and an economical aspect. The purpose of the sensor is to continuously give the driver information about the level of height of the front- and drilling tools and the main purpose of the sensor is to allow the seeds to be placed at the desired depth. The sensors which have been taken into consideration have all been of an analogue type and have a protection class of minimum IP67.The methods applied have been taken from the book ?The Mechanical Design Process? by David G.
