Information overload förekommer pÄ alla arbetsplatser dÀr informationsbearbetning Àr viktigt för arbetsprocesserna. I vissa fall kan information overload medföra allvarliga konsekvenser bÄde för den enskilda medarbetaren och för verksamheten i stort. PÄ akutmottagningen pÄ Centrallasarettet i VÀxjö har sjuksköterskorna en viktig roll som samordnare av den information som anvÀnds i patientarbetet. Syftet med denna undersökning Àr att undersöka vilka faktorer som frÀmst orsakar information overload hos sjuksköterskorna pÄ akutmottagningen CLV, samt att undersöka hur fenomenet IO pÄverkar vÄrdkvaliteten.Under mars och april 2007 genomfördes intervjuer med sju sjuksköterskor pÄ den aktuella akutmottagningen utifrÄn en frÄgemall som utformats med hjÀlp av aktuell forskning pÄ information overload. Resultatanalysen skedde utifrÄn en specifik orsakstabell som tagits frÄn en litteratursammanstÀllning av Eppler och Mengis (2004).

The purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate how the relation between users and librarians is affected by higher education librarians? talk about information literacy. The thesis uses Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis in analysing four articles written by Swedish higher education librarians and in answering how information literacy, users and librarians are constituted. The analysis indicate that the questions have no distinct answers, there are discrepancies between, as well as within the texts.

Att försöka stÀrka elevens roll i utvecklingssamtalet Àr ett sÀtt att hjÀlpa eleven till vuxenhet. Att eleven trÀnas i att nÄ ett ?större sprÄk? Àr angelÀget inte minst för en svensklÀrare som skall verka som elevhandledare. SprÄk ger eleven plats pÄ arenan, det vill sÀga möjlighet att bli ett subjekt. Aktionen har detta som sitt huvudsyfte, dÄ jag upplevt att elever under utvecklingssamtalen ofta Àr mottagare/ objekt för information frÄn skolan och kommentarer frÄn förÀldrar och inte Àr aktivt deltagande.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the information use among Swedish backpackers, both prior to departure and while travelling. The questions posed in this study are; which artefacts did the backpackers use, in what way were those used as tools of mediation within their social practice and how does a presumptive interaction between backpackers and information sources appear? The empirical material consists of interviews, held with eight backpackers, concerning their information use. The interviews reveal that a number of information sources are being consulted. The most commonly used sources identified in the empirical material are guide books, advice from other backpackers, fiction, TV programmes and periodicals.

Questions to Answer: Is data storage a growing problem for companies of development active in the IT society? How do traditional storage solutions manage the information growth of today? How urgent is the need of a new storage solution? Which features are prioritized in the future storage solution? Method: By performing a quantitative survey we delivered an inquiry to several companies, which answers will help us answering our above mentioned questions.

I miljöbalken 26 kap 1 § stÄr att ?Tillsynsmyndigheten skall dessutom, genom rÄdgivning, information och liknande verksamhet, skapa förutsÀttningar för att balkens ÀndamÄl skall kunna tillgodoses?. Det övergripande syftet med studien Àr att ta reda pÄ om tillsynspersoner och företagare har olika upplevelser av tolkning och tillÀmpning av lagen om tillsyn (miljöbalken 26 kap § 1) med fokus pÄ information och rÄdgivning till privata företag. Det empiriska materialet har hÀmtats frÄn intervjuer med tvÄ tillsynspersoner samt en miljöansvarig person pÄ ett tillsynspliktigt företag.

Background: With the removal of audit requirement for companies in Sweden from the first of november 2010, a lot of companies has chosen not to keep the audit requirement. So far 57 percent of the small companies has chosen to keep the audit, in spite of that they donÂŽt need to which led us to the problem statement: Which are the factors that affect a small limited company to choose to keep the audit, in spite that now there is a possibility to choose not to use audit anymore?Purpose: The purpose of the essay is to examine why small limited companies choose to keep the audit, in spite that now there is a possibility to choose not to use audit?Method: This research founds itself in a qualitative study with a deductive research approach. We have been studying secondary data in books and articles and preformed 29 phone interviews with small ltd company owners in Sweden. The selection consisted of 14 companies with credit debts and 15 companies without credit debts.

Syftet med studien var att studera hur förskolan och förskoleklassen arbetar med överlÀmning av barninformation. This qualitative study examines how users of boardgamegeek.com chooses which analogue game to buy. The purpose of the study is to find out which factors constitutes the choice of games and how the information of these factors reach the consumer. The investigation is executed by users of boardgamegeek.com explaining their latest game purchase in a questionnaire survey online. The results show that many of the respondents research the games they are interrested in beforehand and based on this information make their choice. Despite of this we can see that many game developers and distributors does not make this information available for the consumers, but leaves this task to the public..

The aims were to investigate the public awareness of aphasia in a Swedish sample and examine if knowledge of aphasia relates to gender, education or age. Participant?s sources of knowledge of aphasia were examined. A total of 153 individuals, aged 18-90, were surveyed. Participants were categorized into three groups; heard of, knowledge of and not heard of aphasia.

The amount of information stored on the internet grows daily and naturally the requirements on the systems used to search for and analyse information increases. As a part in meeting the raised requirements this study investigates if it is possible for a automatised text analysis system to distinguish certain groups and categories of words in a text, and more specifically investigate if it is possible to distinguish words with a high information value from words with a low information value. This is important to enable optimizations of systems for global surveillance and information retrieval. The study is carried out using word spaces, which are often used in text analysis to model language. The distributional character of certain categories of words is examined by studying the intrinsic dimensionality of the space, locally around different words.

An example of such an organisation is the Swedish Armed Forces which indeed is in the need of ways to ensure information security in their Information Technology systems. The means which is used is an authorisation and accreditation process.All Information Technology systems go through a life cycle which includes realisation, usage, development and liquidation. In the Swedish Armed Forces the lifecycle is an authorisation process.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka om sjuksköterskans information till patienter, vid inlÀggning av perifer venkateter, följde gÀllande riktlinjer frÄn Handbok för hÀlso- och sjukvÄrdspersonal. Författarna samlade in data genom att delta vid 60 inlÀggningar av perifer venkateter vilka genomfördes av femton olika sjuksköterskor. Insamlingen Àgde rum pÄ en dagkirurgiavdelning. Man observerade ett antal omrÄden, resultatet pÄ dessa kunde bli ja eller nej, dÀr ja var det resultat man eftersökte. Antal ja-svar summerades och analyserades med oberoende t-tester för att se eventuella skillnader i yngre/Àldre och mÀn/kvinnor, inga skillnader pÄfanns.
