Abstract: After their introduction, technical systems designed for Situational Awareness have changed the possibilities on the battlefield. Today, Swedish tanks use a system known as the TCCS. This system offers many advantages to a tank platoon, but does it also bring disadvantages? This essay examines pros and cons with the TCCS. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine whether a web-based library catalogue is to be considered user-friendly. We have examined this from a user-perspective by interviewing users of a web-based catalogue at a public library. In order to get a picture of the user-friendliness of a catalogue, the thesis is centred upon the following questions: How is a web-based catalogue used? What problems do the users experience? How is the catalogue perceived by its users? Since the producers of these catalogues now are taking into account the research upon human-computer interaction, we are also interested in finding out whether a web-based catalogue is more user-friendly than a more traditional OPAC. We do this by comparing the results of our examination with earlier studies of OPAC use.

För att kunna lösa detta problem så måste man ta reda på vilka de största orsakerna till vådabekämpning är samt vilka lösningar det finns för att minska risken. I denna uppsats har det genomförts kvalitativa litteraturstudier om fenomenet vådabekämpning, från Operation Desert Storm och framåt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur arbetet med att förhindra vådabekämpningar skulle kunna se ut, samt ta reda på vilka de största anledningarna är till att vådabekämpningar uppstår. Analysen visar att det finns en rad olika orsaker till att vådabekämpningar uppstår. This thesis aims to describe the differences and similarities between a male dominated sector and a female dominated sector based on gender mainstreaming documentation as well as through interviews with people working within the sectors. The sectors that were chosen in this study were the fire department and the nursing and care administration of Växjö municipality. Both of the administrations? genders mainstreaming documents were subjected to content analysis in order to describe differences and similarities between the administrations.
