Acrylamide (AM) is a commonly used monomer in the manufacture of polyacrylamide. In addition, AM has been found in heated foods that are rich in starch. The main dietary sources in Sweden tend to be crisps, French fries, fried potatoes, crisp bread, cookies and coffee. Un-fortunately, dietary intake of AM has in several studies been shown to cause cancer in ro-dents. Consequently, the compound is currently regarded as a potential carcinogen in hu-mans.

Bakgrund och problem: Huruvida aktiemarknader är informationseffektiva eller inte, och om det i förlängningen går att konsistent identifiera under- och övervärderade aktier, har länge debatterats inom den finansekonomiska diskursen. Ett fenomen som uppmärksammat som en möjlig avvikelse från en effektiv prissättning är den så kallade värdepremien, där värdeaktier genererar en högre riskjusterad avkastning än tillväxtaktier.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka informationseffektiviteten på den svenska aktiemarknaden utifrån värdepremien samt hur värdepremien påverkades av finanskrisen2008Metod: Studien baseras på en kvantitativ forskningsmetodik och innefattar samtliga publika aktiebolag på Stockholmsbörsen (NASDAQ OMX) mellan perioden 1992-2012. Fyra relativvärderingsmått används för att identifiera värde- och tillväxtaktier (P/E, P/BV,EV/EBITDA and DY), vilket resulterar i att fyra värdeportföljer och fyra tillväxtportföljer skapas. Avkastningen från portföljerna beräknas och statistiska regressioner utförs för att utvärdera värdepremien och huruvida den svenska aktiemarknaden har varit informationseffektiv eller inte, det vill säga om det varit möjligt att generera en abnorm avkastning.Slutsatser: Studien finner att det existerat en värdepremie på den svenska aktiemarknaden när två relativvärderingsmultiplar används (P/BV och EV/EBITDA). När CAPM används för att justera för risken genererar samtliga värdeportföljer en abnorm avkastning, men ingen av tillväxtportföljerna, vilket kontrasterar den effektiva marknadshypotesen.

Denna studie ämnar undersöka vilka egenskaper chefer besitter som bäst kommer motiverar nästagenerations anställda att följa chefers order och beslut och hur detta påverkas av kulturellafaktorer. För att uppnå detta syfte har en enkätundersökning utförts bland studenter på ettuniversitet i Sverige och ett i Spanien, mer specifikt Karlstads och Alicantes universitet.Enkätundersökningen visar hur studenter rangordnar fem faktorer som enligt French och Raven(1959) definierar makt. Respondenterna till enkätundersökningen ombads rangordna dessa PowerBases (PB:s) efter hur mycket auktoritet varje PB ansågs ge upphov till i en anställds synvinkel.Stickprovsresultatet från Karlstads universitet anses vara representativt för helastudentpopulationen vid Karlstads universitet. Detta antagande grundas på att stickprovet varslumpvist utvalt, samt att stickprovet är tillräckligt stort med tanke på populationensstandardavvikelse och storlek. Stickprovet från Alicantes universitet uppfyller inte ovanståendekriterier och kan ej användas i generaliserade syfte.

The aim of this master´s thesis is to examine how librarian´s views of the users can vary for different types of materials in public libraries. We have seen that literature and reading are the central parts of the libraries in Sweden. All other types of media are traditionally seen as complements and in focus for the study is feature film as an example of these other medias. We examine policy documents to see the official view of the general target group of the libraries and compare it to the view of the users of feature films as expressed by the librarians. The study includes several different types of empirical materials such as interviews, observations and documents and the method used is case studies.

The aim of this study is to make a comparative study between the grievances during the Dacke Warand the German Peasant´s War. These two conflicts may have occurred separately, regarding bothgeographical and chronological distances but also share common issues for this comparative study.Less than two decades separates these two conflicts and they were all by their own serious insurrectionsduring their time. While the German Peasant´s War was the greatest uprising in Europe up tothe French Revolution, the Dacke War was the biggest Peasant Rebellion in Scandinavian history.While the German Peasant War has been studied and researched by historians for a relative longtime, the Dacke War has been neglected in research history. The right to the city has lately become the rallying cry for many urban social movements all over the world to challenge neoliberal planning, gentrification, the privatization of urban commons and growing spatial and social gaps in city and society. This senior essay studies urban social movements that in different ways advocate the idea of the right to the city. The term right to the city was coined in the late 1960s by French urban theorist Henri Lefebvre, who promoted the idea of the city as a common, a space belonging to everyone. The right to the city is not ?a return to traditional cities?, but ?a right to urban life? (1996:158).This study focuses on the city of Hamburg.

This essay discusses the Nordic region Bohuslän the decade after it became "Swedish" in 1658, during what I call the region's "transition period". The wide cause of the study is to show how the traditional understanding of this state shift (and of state shifts in general) need to be problemized and understood in the light of the state conditions of Early Modern Europe. By examine court protocols from the local-court of Orust and Tjörn (one of five local courts in contemporary Bohuslän) and the local noble's writings to the Swedish parliament, a tricky mixture of references to different territories gets observed and analyzed.To approach the difficult identity problems, I have assistance in Peter Sahlins' conclusions from his study of the French-Spanish borderland during the same period. Especially helpful are his identity schemes by which he (inspired by the Norwegian anthropologist Fredrik Barth) supposes that each identity originates from a counter-identity. This study ends up in an attempt to reconstruct the landscape of identities and counter-identities found in the sources, according to professor Sahlins' schemes.

Trough the analyses of three young contemporary Swedish and Norwegian poets, who all in one way or another work with the language as material, I will circulate around the term language materialism. Each poet has his or her specific distinctive feature wich makes them three completely different poets. But they are all challenging the borders of literature and even the grammatical laws of language. Apart from the analyses I sketch an historical line between the predecessors of the experiments with the poetic language in the past, starting with Mallarmé, and the experiments of today. My essay will in conclusion discuss the language poetry in a wider philosophical point of view, connected to Derrida and Wittgenstein.The first analysis introduces the author and artist Johannes Heldén through his debute poetry collection Burner.
