The thesis objective was to study the partnership between the municipality of Gothenburg and three nonprofit organizations concerning the mobile EU-citizens. The study examines how the EU-enlargement affected Sweden and eventually the municipality of Gothenburg, and how Gothenburg responded to the new situation regarding the target group. The thesis contains one case study and the empirical data are based on semi structured interviews with politicians and officials from both the public- and the nonprofit sector. The results were screened with New Institutional Theory, Resource Dependence Theory and Decision Making Theory: Rule Following. The theories were used to locate any type of isomorphism, resource dependence and rule following in the partnership.

Our time is characterized by the development of new technologies that facilitate communication between people. The need for Video Mediated Communication (VMC) is increasing because people move to other locations due to migration and global mobility. VMC provides the opportunity for millions of people around the world to ?hang out? and see each other despite the distance in between. The world is "shrinking" because of the Internet and our perception of distance is changing.VMC is becoming increasingly available, in the form of applications like Skype and MSN for mobile phones and computers, and in addition, it?s practically free.The purpose of this thesis is to render a picture of the way in which people use Skype in the private sphere.

Swedish students' knowledge of both mathematics and reading comprehension has deteriorated in recent years. Scientists are discussing whether there is a connection between these areas and that the pupils deteriorating math skills may have something to do with their increasingly lower results in terms of reading comprehension. To investigate this possible connection, I conducted a survey among students in ninth grade and have come to the conclusion that the scientists are right: this connection absolutely exist. Students who received a high score on tasks designed to test students' mathematical problem-solving skills, also received high results on the reading comprehension test. And students who received a poor performance on the problem-solving tasks, were also low performers in the reading comprehension test.

Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka om modern teknik kan åtgärda de problem som idag finns vid integration av nätverksresurser. En av grundtankarna i detta arbete är att nätverken i framtiden kommer att behöva anpassas till en mer flexibel och heterogen miljö. Anledningen till detta är att det i framtiden kommer utvecklas en rad nya produkter som ska kopplas in i nätverken.Rapporten är uppdelad i tre delar. I första delen undersöks vilka problem som finns idag vid resurshantering i nätverk. Denna undersökning gjordes med hjälp av intervjuer med ett antal systemadministratörer som har praktisk erfarenhet av sådana typer av problem.

Den arbetar för att det aktuella problemetåtgärdas och även förebygger liknande problem. Ridsporten är Sveriges näst största ungdomssport endast fotbollen är större. En miljon svenskar kommer i kontakt med hästar på ett eller annat sätt och cirka 500 000 rider regelbundet för motion, rekreation eller tävling. 200 000 är medlem i någon av Svenska ridsportsförbundets 980 klubbar. Svenska ridsports förbundet har sett att det blir allt populärare att skaffa egen häst antingen är den uppstallade hemma eller så hyrs en box i ett stall. I ett stall vistas flera individer på en begränsad yta som de ska samsas om.

ABSTRACTMusic and differences in knowledge ? a study of music teachers experiences with differences in musical knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to, out of a music teacher?s perspective, see if the differences in music abilities between 7th grade students are at all, or in some ways connected to the previous schools they?ve attended. I will also research in what areas, in the subject of music, students are differing more, as well as less, in their knowledge. The analysis is based on interviews with six 7th grade music teachers working in the Swedish nine-year compulsory school system.

Today's communication solution between the vehicle and trailer is one many see as anon-viable solution, then breakdowns on both the lights and cables are common. The group has developed various concepts and chosen to work on, two of them.The project has resulted in this report and a prototypeThe solution that the group has developed is a wireless communication between vehicleand trailer. The project team has developed new power-efficient LED lighting fixtures inorder to implement an internal power source in the trailer. The result of this has becomea maintenance-free and wireless product to trailers.

The increasing administration in IT-systems is the target of much debate today. It is viewed as taking time from what is considered to be managers? real tasks as well as resulting in an ineffective and stressful work environment. This view of IT-systems as problematic and time consuming can also been found among unit managers in a municipality in the north of Sweden. To be able to understand why IT-systems are perceived in this way this study?s aim has been to find what leads to this view.

This thesis aims to examine when democratic consolidation took place in Costa Rica from a maximalistic perspective. The hypothesis is that it?s likely that the democracy was not consolidated as early as 1953 which would be the case if applying a minimalistic perspective. Linz and Stepan?s theory about democratic consolidation has been chosen as the theoretical framework of the thesis and the research has been conducted by using a qualitative text analysis.

Vid uppstallning av sto pga. av sjukt föl finns det mycket man kan tänka på för att göra sjukhusvistelsen så bra som möjligt samt minska risken för problem.Naturligtvis ska fokus läggas på fölungen och orsaken till varför de sökt vård på hästsjukhuset, men det är viktigt att stoet inte glöms bort. En uppstallningssituation skiljer sig mycket från den miljön där hästen lever i det vilda och detta kan skapa olika problem om bristerna i omvårdnaden blir för stora. Denna studie tyder på att agalakti och kolik är problem som kan uppstå. Det är mycket viktigt att stoets allmäntillstånd, temperatur samt avföring kontrolleras regelbundet för att så tidigt som möjligt upptäcka eventuella avvikelser.

Systemutveckling har länge kantats av problem och oförmåga att möta nya problem och krav som uppstår under processen från ide till färdig produkt. För att möta de problem som de traditionella systemutvecklingsprojekten innebar så arbetade Ken Beck et. Al. (2001) fram det agila manifestet, det agila manifestet beskriver de kärnvärden som systemutvecklingsprojekt bör arbeta utefter, detta för att öka flexibiliteten och minska problemen med långa ledtider.SCRUM är en agil systemutvecklingsmetod som togs fram av Jeff Sutherland och Ken Schwaber, detta efter att de båda hade sett behovet utav en metod som klarade att möta snabba förändringar och att kunna möta problem under processens gång.För att undersöka hur hantering av problem i agila systemutvecklingsprojekt fungerar i praktiken har en fallstudie genomförts på ATS väst hos CGI.En stor del av problematiken i systemutveckling är distansen mellan de inblandade parterna, något som påverkar arbetsmetodiken. Detta resulterar i en mer omfattande dokumentation än vad den agila arbetsformen förespråkar och minskar även den personliga kommunikationen.

Examensarbetets problemområde återfinns i den tidiga delen inom informationssystemutveckling. Denna utvecklingsfas, kallad Requirements Engineering (RE), innefattar aktiviteter för att förstå, dokumentera och validera de behov och krav som föreligger för ett framtida informationssystem. RE är en avgörande aktivitet i processen att utveckla ett informationssystem som tillfredsställer användare och kunders förväntningar och behov.De olika intressenterna som är involverade i RE-processen har olika roller, bakgrund och kunskaper. Av denna anledning föreligger olika problem och möjligheter med avseende på intressenterna. I examensarbetet utreds vilka dessa möjligheter och problem kan vara.
