Jonas Karlssons novell Fakturan (2011) har visat sig ha flera beröringspunkter med Franz Kafkas Processen (1924). Uppsatsen visar hur dessa verk behandlar individens skuld i det moderna samhället. Karlssons novell som är skriven ca hundra år efter det att Kafka skrev Processen skildrar likväl en problematik som kanske varit gällande ända sedan marknadsekonomin först började att breda ut sig. Uppsatsen analyserar Kafkas och Karlssons verk ur ett sociologiskt perspektiv, där jag använt mig av Marx och Nietzsche som teoretiker. A great number of tourists visits each day the Fox Glacier in New Zealand and are subjected todangers such as jökulhlaups. This phenomena can occur suddenly and in a destructive way when abuilt up of water suddenly bursts and releases large amounts of water. This is well known to happen atthe near by Franz Josef Glacier which has similar settings to Fox Glacier, but sparse previous researchon the subject indicates different results of whether jökulhlaups are present or not by Fox Glacier. Thisthesis therefore aims to study the conditions for jökulhlaups at the glacier. This is done by remotesensing and field observations of the sandur in the Fox Glacier Valley, qualitative interviews andliterature studies with a comparison with Franz Josef Glacier.

Mot bakgrund av att jag tappade motivationen att skriva skönlitteratur så fort jag i förväg bestämde textens handling, beslöt jag mig för att hålla fast vid en intuitiv metod men att istället byta genre från roman till novell. Syftet med denna studie är att försöka beskriva hur min metod växte fram och analysera förtjänster och svårigheter med en intuitiv metod. Genom att studera författare som varit inspirationskällor för mig har jag upptäckt att flera av dem brottats med liknande problem och att min stil i flera avseenden påverkats av dem. Resultatet av min studie är att det finns uppenbara likheter mellan Franz Kafkas produktion och min egen när det gäller litterär metod, berättarsynvinkel och bildspråk. Vidare betraktar jag mina noveller snarare som dikter än noveller då grundstrukturen i dem påminner om lyrik, vilket jag försöker visa med hjälp av begrepp hämtade från Jurij Lotman och Riffaterre.

This paper has the ambition to examine the language, the voice, of Clarice Lispector in her novel A Hora da Estrela (The Hour of the Star).The theoretical horizon from which I will read The Hour of the Star is that of Hélène Cixous, which can be expressed through the term écriture féminine.
