The information market is constantly changing. With new and improved information technology more people get access to more information faster. However, the number of people educated to handle information also increases. Business intelligence has for a long time been a well-known tool for companies to be competitive. Because of the increased access to information the competition between companies has intensified and more people have become aware of the advantages of business intelligence and how it can help them compete.

To the sewer systems households, industries and other activities are connected. The wastewater is collected at treatment plants where a nutritious sludge is produced. The sludge does not only contain nutrients, but also hazardous substances originating from different activities in society. To reduce the flow of hazardous substances to treatment plants and to create a sustainable recycling of plant nutrients the Swedish Water & Wastewater Association has developed the certificate system REVAQ. This certificate requires a good quality of the sludge but also that the treatment plants maps the origin of the unwanted substances.

The migration process has been subjected to criticism duringseveral years and on different occasions. Syftet med kandidatarbetet är att skapa musik till en folkgrupp som saknar en etablerad musikkultur. För att göra detta valdes folkgrupper ut ur den fiktiva spelvärlden Drakar och Demoner: Trudvang. Fornnordisk kultur var en inspiration till Trudvang och detta studerades för att påvisa likheter till folkgrupperna i Trudvang. Parallellerna mellan de olika kulturerna blev uppsatsens förundersökning. Uppsatsens förundersökning resulterade i att det finns en efterfråga på musik i spelet varpå två folkgrupper från Trudvang valdes ut för gestaltning med musik, alferna och virannerna.

This master project in landscape architecture is named Interactivation Design - places for social imagination and conversation in Lindängelund. There are two main purposes of this thesis the first being to bring forth a study of interactivity implemented in the subject of landscape architecture. The second purpose of this thesis is to present a proposal to design a confluent landscape weaving together the upcoming botanical garden of Lindängelund and the residential area of Almvik, both situated in southern Malmö, Sweden, and also weaves people and their experiences together. This project may be described as investigative and experimentative reaserch by design.The first part of this project, Interactivation, is consisting of a theoretical report which discusses different ways of approaching when, how and why we interact in public space. Literature studies in for example space, placemaking, social life, people, participation and Japanese emptiness concepts has been undertaken to gain knowledge in the aim to create interactive landscape design.The second part, Context and Design Proposal, introduces the project context area of Southern Fosie in Malmö which consists of different kinds of residential areas, people of different nationalities and a large building site for a botanical garden and recreational area.

The purpose of the thesis is to describe how environmental compensation is carried through when it comes to exploitation of Natura 2000. The thesis also relates to the three theories of planning synoptic, advocacy and transactive. Three cases of environmental compensation have been studied from three different countries where an exploitation of the Natura 2000 is done. Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands have all been working with environmental impact assessments as a demand to be able to carry through their projects. The projects concern the development of a railway track, an industry and a port which all have been approved by the EU-commission to carry on because of socioeconomic reasons.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to study the discourses on culture as developed by EU Commission. The method applied is a discoursebased historical analysis, where analysis of arguments and metaphors are functional to the enlightening of the construction of discourses within EU cultural policy. EU official documents constitute the empirical material studied. The theoretical framework of the thesis draws upon cultural public sphere theory as well instrumentalist cultural policy research.

Stone walls in agricultural land are incorporated in the general protection of biotopes. They are protected because they provide a habitat for endangered species. Therefore it is illegal to carry out proceedings in an area that is included in the protection of biotopes. In order to do that, exemption is needed which can only be granted if there are special reasons. In the process laboratory of Metso minerals (Sala) AB, continuous tests have been made with a laboratory unit High-Rate thickener. The tests are made in order to compare three methods of thickening techniques of suspended solids. The three techniques are High-Rate thickening, conventional thickening and lamella thickening. The High-Rate and the conventional trials are based on a continuous method, while the lamella thickener is based on batch trials. Because the lamella thickener is based on batch trials and there were some optimization problems with the adding point of the flocculant at the continuous trials, it was not feasible to compare the lamella thickener with the other two thickener types.

The use of energy is an important question in today´s society, and a substantial part of the energy that is used today is used in our homes. To lower this usage is vital, and there are regulations in place both on the national and the local level, that say that new apartment blocks must be built to consume less energy, which in the end will lower the impact on the climate.One way to make the housing sector more environmentally sustainable, is to produce energy issions that are bad for the environment, for example to build wind turbines close to or even on the buildings, so called urban wind power. The scope for this report is to see if urban wind power could be a sustainable alternative for the residential area that Svenska Bostäder plans to build in Albano in Stockholm.There are extensive scientific theories regarding wind and wind power, and a literature study is made to investigate past knowledge in the area. Efforts have been made to find earlier trials with urban wind power and, both scientific research and trials where urban wind power actually has been installed. The theory chapter deals both with the wind itself and how electricity can be generated from wind.

En allmän uppfattning är att kompetensutveckling nyttjas av företag för att öka deras produktivitet och konkurrenskraft. Företagen anses även använda kompetensutveckling som ett lockbete för att attrahera medarbetare. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att rikta fokus på individens attityd till kompetensutveckling och studera om den upplevdes som stimulerande, avlastande eller stressande. Ett annat syfte var att undersöka hur motiverad individen var till kompetensutveckling. Med en egenkonstruerad enkät undersöktes två arbetsplatser, en domstol och ett företag inom processverksamheten (N = 100).

Personer som arbetar med human resource (HR) har ett samarbete med cheferna i organisationen. Föreliggande studie är kvalitativ, där personer som arbetar med HR beskriver bra ledarskap och hur de verkar för bra ledarskap inom organisationen, vilket även var studiens syfte att undersöka. Resultatet baserades på halvstrukturerade djupintervjuer med sex HR-personer. Resultaten tolkades genom en kombination av deduktiv och induktiv tematisk analys. Studien resulterade i åtta teman gällande beskrivning av bra ledarskap, vilka i diskussionen strukturerades upp till tre faktorer; personlig mognad, social kompetens och chefsförmåga.
