Denna studie undersöker om lättillgänglig information om matrecepts koldioxidutsläpp kan göra att människor väljer miljövänligare måltider. Studien genomfördes under realistiska förhållanden med hjälp av en webbaserad prototyp som automatiskt beräknar och presenterar olika matrecepts koldioxidutsläpp när användaren surfar på en webbplats med recept. Beteendet vid val av måltider studerades för en grupp om 15 personer, både med och utan användning av prototypen. Deltagarnas upplevelse av prototypen samlades in genom fokusgrupper. Användning av prototypen resulterade i en minskning av deltagarnas genomsnittliga koldioxidutsläpp med ca 2,2 kilo per måltid (45 %).

På sjukhuset i Gävle utförs regelbundet punktprevalensmätningar på uppkomsten av trycksår. Syftet med dessa mätningar är att hitta effektiva förebyggande åtgärder som kan användas för att minska uppkomsten av trycksår. Mätningarna utförs med hjälp av en surfplatta. För att underlätta insamlingen och presentationen av mätningarnas resultat har det utvecklats ett nytt datasystem. Datasystemet består av en databas med tillhörande databasapplikation.

I vår studie är syftet att undersöka hur matematikens begreppsbildning påverkas av språk ochkulturella skillnader för elever med svenska som andraspråk. Undersökningen syftar till att ta reda påvad pedagogerna anser om detta och hur de arbetar med det i undervisningen. För att ta reda på vadpedagogerna anser och hur de arbetar valde vi att göra en strukturerad intervju med pedagoger i ämnetmatematik och svenska som andraspråk. I resultatet av vår undersökning har vi kommit fram till attspråket och kulturen har stor inverkan på begreppsbildningen i matematikundervisningen. I resultatetkom det bland annat fram att tidigare erfarenheter, metaforer och verklighetsanknutna uppgifter kanorsaka problem för elever med svenska som andraspråk..

Detta arbete har utförts hos utvecklingsgruppen inom Gargnäs Elteknik AB. Gruppen har tagit fram ett kommunikationssystem för gruvhissar där man förmedlar data och röst, Cagecom. Min första uppgift blev att sammanställa dokumentationen för alla delprojekt. Jag har gjort en webb-presentation av Cagecom som kommer att ligga på deras hemsida. För att ladda programvara till Cagecom använder man sig av ett dumpprogram.

Telia Research AB forskar i människans framtida behov av tjänster gällande telekommunikation. Examensarbetet mynnar ut i en applikation för en framtida tjänst som presenteras i en mobilterminal. Meningen med examensarbetet var bland annat att visa på olika utvecklingsverktyg som kan uppnå vissa kriterier vid presentation av en karta i en mobilterminal även kallad PDA, Personal Digital Assistant. Kriterierna var bland annat att kartapplikationen skulle kunna kopplas till en databas var information om geografisk position finns. Funktioner och verktyg som kan tänkas finnas i en applikation kan vara positionering, zoomning, informationsverktyg och ett digitaliseringsverktyg som ger möjlighet att lagra en geografisk punkt med koppling till punktens personliga attribut.

This study's main objective was to identify adolescents participation in alternative sport activities and which kind of physical activity that was preferred by adolescents who didn't had any earlier experience of sport clubs. The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. The aim with this Masters thesis is to examine the professional knowledge of the librarian. The method used is text analysis of a state public investigation, SOU 1969:37, that concerns librarian education. The theoretical starting point is a theory of knowledge thats descended from Aristotle. Three different forms of knowledge are central concepts in the theory: the theoretical, the practical and the ethical. The main issue in this thesis is: In what ways did the investigators look at the librarians knowledge? Was it in a changeable period of time? In that case, what reasons could there be? The conclusion shows that educational political changes were affecting the whole educational sphere at the late 1960:s, and in the beginning of the 1970:s, including library education.

The horse is an animal that often becomes humanized. Despite domestication, the horse still has a need to interact with other horses, be able to move for the most of the day, and being able to graze. If these needs cannot be fulfilled, the horse can be negatively affected and develop abnormal behaviours. An example of abnormal behaviours is weaving; the horse performs a swinging motion in the front area of the body during a long time. This literature review aims to investigate how different stabling forms (box/stall) affect the incidence of weaving, and also how this behaviour can be prevented or limited.

New forms of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have become more influential in development contexts. The concept of ?The Digital Divide? points at a large division between rich and poor countries regarding access to ICTs. The starting-point of the discussion lies in the presentation of the history of the doctrine of creation, especially the doctrine of creatio ex nihilo. Once the historical and philosophical importance of the doctrine of creation is clear, the anthropological and theological consequences are obvious; creation is contingent and at the same time deeply dependent upon God. In modern health care, the quality registry is anexcellent tool to monitor everyday work. Collected data forms a foundation, presented as online reports, from which local work efforts to refine care quality can be performed. All reports are coded manually by specially trained developers. This is a tedious process and hence becomes a bottleneck in the strive for improvement.This thesis evaluates whether an extended way of dealing with reports can fit into the existing work situation, with main focus on the idea of creating custom reports directly within a quality registry. It provides a set of conclusions regarding today's usage of reports as well as the users' general and specific needs within the area.
