The main focus of this study are the textile prints created by Astrid Sampe (1909-2002). Her fabrics can tell us more about her than a biography ever could. They can reveal how we experience patterns, why we are attracted to them and how our preferences can evolve over time. This study examines four different patterns, and the thesis aims to define Sampe and her textile prints using three different theories and a Formal aesthetic analysis. Modernistic and postmodernism theories are relevant when explaining the period where the fabrics were created and how Sampe's ideas were conceived during her lifetime.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Peterhof och Drottningholm, två formella 16-1700-talsparker, i fråga om deras karakteristiska element och strukturer/övergripande planering. Peterhof och Drottningholm valdes som undersökningsobjekt eftersom båda parkerna har en anknytning till samma tid och en gemensam historia som respektive rikes kungliga parker. Det faktum att båda var exempel på parker långt från sina ursprungliga inspirationskällor har också gjort jämförelsen intressant att genomföra. Min metod är att jämföra parkerna genom att göra litteraturstudier och att på plats undersöka karakteristiska element, strukturer och övergripande planering. En tabell görs med hjälp av Anna-Maria Blennows Europas Trädgårdar (2009) och utgör grunden för vad som undersöks i de två parkerna.

The study of culture is specifically relevant to libraries confronting changes. A variety of conditions makes it beneficial for libraries to understand the strengths as well as the weaknesses of the underlying culture. Such an understanding can help libraries in adjusting to changes easier, without losing the cultural values that they hold important to their identity and strategic strengths.Taking this as a starting point the purpose of this essay is to examine and describe what aspects in prevailing library cultures are important to pay attention to when meeting changes. To accomplish this we will explore the concept of library culture, its substance, meaning and expression.Culture is reflected in the artifacts, values and underlying assumptions of Formal and inFormal groups. Culture can be found at various levels.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate what prompts student nurses to seek information required to their educational tasks and how they evaluate and utilize that information. The questions addressed in this thesis regard how information retrieval becomes part of student nurses? social practice; which physical and intellectual tools student nurses make use of in their education; and which mediating resources they use to perform their tasks. Roger Säljö?s sociocultural approach provides the theoretical framework for this thesis.

The work as a personal assistant is sometimes associated with certain problems. Studies have shown that personal assistants often experience indistinct rules and roles concerning what should or should not be included in their duties. This study was undertaken to evaluate problems associated with the profession as a personal assistant, how widespread they are and how they are dealt with. Specifically, the study evaluates if the personal assistants have to do duties that they consider they are not assigned to do. Different roles (Formal as inFormal) are also discussed which may be of current interest in this study, but also how we see people on basis of ethics and moral.

Sammanfattning: I detta arbete har jag undersökt det långtråkiga och den vardagliga flykten från det. Min inställning till det långtråkiga i detta sammanhang är att det innehåller något gåtfullt och intressant. Undersökningen utgår från intryck från tre olika miljöer: köpcentrat, torget och sammanträdet. Intrycken har antecknats enligt den metod George Perec använt i Ett försök att uttömma en plats i Paris. Med utgångspunkt i intrycken från dessa platser har jag tillverkat tre halssmycken.

Syftet med följande arbete är att presentera det förslag till historiekanon som lades fram i Danmark sommaren 2006, samt den debatt som följde i media, samt att jämföra klimatet för historieämnet i Danmark och Sverige. Svend Sødring Jensens teori om olika historieundervisningsmodeller applicerades på materialet. Genom en kvalitativ analys av de olika texterna, blev resultatet att förespråkarna för en kanon har en objektivistisk och/eller klassisk argumentation, samt att motståndarna har en Formal argumentation när de inte anser att en kanon ska finnas, och objektivistisk och/eller klassisk argumentation när de anser att urvalet av kanonpunkter är felaktigt. I jämförelsen med Sverige blir resultatet att Sverige har en mer nyanserad historiesyn, speciellt när det gäller den egna kulturen..

The connection between accounting and taxation goes back to the 1920s laws of the named areas. A proposal has now been brought forward, the so-called SamRoB-investigation, which means that the connection between accounting and taxations should be decoupled.The authors? aim with the study is to investigate what a possible decoupling between accounting and taxation, i.e. the Formal connection and the untaxed revenues, implicates for the auditor´s work.A research has been done by interviewing two authorized auditors and one authorized consultant of accounting to get a view in how the auditor?s works could be affected.

Nobel Prize Laureate Joseph Brodsky is a key figure in Soviet Russian literature. Expelled from the USSR in 1972, he became a US citizen in 1977 and Poet Laureate of the United States in 1991. In this essay, I have sought to examine the state of exile perceived in Brodsky?s poems. Using Russian literary critic Viktor Shklovsky?s concept of defamiliarization, I have strived to illuminate the Formal composition of this state ? its technique.

   To work and live in the same place where ones employer also is the landlord, can create a situation with many special requirements for the individual. Constrains regarding time, space and impact on social life is likely to appear. Based on theory and empirical research about the Boundaryless work and the Psychological contract the purpose of this report is to examine employees who live and work at the same place. This is done by studying the regulation regarding time and space factors and the psychological contracts in expectations and in violation of the psychological contract and the risks associated with this like Locked-in factors. The study includes interviews with managers and employees (n=9).

The Go Down Arts Centre is a proposal for a new building to an existing organisation in Nairobi, Kenya. The proposal relates to the scale of the city by making a statement on a future urban path, and by welcoming the city in to the building. The proposal houses both activities affiliated to Go Down, such as studios and rehersal rooms, as well as opportunities for the visitor to meet and interact with the culture produced at Go Down, both in Formal and inFormal settings. The building is closed to its surroundings, apart from a grand entrance towards the urban path. There, the city passes through the building to an inner courtyard, where the communication to all the rooms and activities takes place.

The aim of this thesis is to get a better understanding of how the management control system works at V&S Distillers. V&S Distillers went through an organizational change in the beginning of 2005. The marketing function went from being a country-driven to a category-driven organization. Among other things this resulted in increased cooperation between employees in different geographical locations. We aim to analyze how a geographical distance affects relations and the use of management control.
