Ledarskap och företagskultur

Syfte: Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur företagskultur påverkas av ledarskap. Metod: Jag har använt mig av kvalitativ forskningsmetod. För att samla in information för teoridelen har jag använt jag mig av sekundärdata, metoden och för emperidelen har jag använt mig av primärdata.  Resultat & slutsats: I min undersökning har jag kommit fram till att chef/ledare har en stor roll i företagskultur och de förändringar som ibland måste ske. Eftersom det är dem som oftast har mest makt i företag/organisation, därmed är det viktigt att en ledare ska vara kreativ, nyfiken öppen och beslutsam.  Uppsatsen bidrag: Genom den här undersökningen fick jag bättre förståelse inom ledarskap, företagskultur och samspelet mellan dem och hur ledarens uppgifter och roller kommer att påverka kulturer i företag/organisation. Och jag tycker att det är viktigt att en ledare/chef vågar förändra på det kultur som finns inom företaget för att se om det skapas bättre förändringar eller inte..

En lärande organisation? - Kompetensutveckling inom en Polismyndighet

This essey discuss competence development for the employees in a unit of the Swedish police authorities. The purpose with this survey has been to show an understanding for how this unit within the Swedish police authorities works with competence development and what kind of competence investments they carry out and also why competence development is important in their organisation. To answer the purpose of the survey and the questions a qualitative method has been used remaining interviews with five involved respondents working in the investigated unit. The result shows that needs for competence development are made clear during meeting for personal development and during the local educational council inventories. Competence development for the employees is prioritated for the policemen comparing to the civil employees on account of that the policemen have a demanding work and they have to develop their work all the time because of the resisting circumstances.

When a leader changes to a new post in another kind of organisational culture, what happens then? Could a leader use the same kind of leadership when leading different kinds of groups? Different cultures have different needs and ways to handle things and in the end it all comes to situational leadership. Both leaders and theorists claim that the leader must adjust to what the organisation and its members needs. This paper contains an inquiry of how officers have handled their new assignments as leaders in the civilian world of the municipality. The research shows that a former military leader must also be able to lead another kind of group if they change to a civilian career.

Adolescence is a turbulent time in life and gives rise to new information needs for young people. Information needs related to school subjects have been relatively well researched but few studies have focused on information needs and use related to life concerns. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine the information needs of a number of teenage girls in relation to their life concerns and how they meet these needs. The sample consists of twenty-one girls aged thirteen and fourteen. The research is based on literature studies and qualitative interviews combined with a questionnaire.

Förändringsmöjligheter inom offentlig sektor : Sex chefers uppfattningar om chefskap, dialog och förändringsarbete

Inom offentlig sektor och särskilt sjukvårdens organisation, genomförs ofta stora reformer vilket medfört att mycket fokus inte minst hamnar på ledarskapet. Man kan säga att tre nivåer då samagerar, det politiska, det professionella och medborgaren. En ledare får ofta en nyckelroll i förändrings- och utvecklingsprocesser genom ökat personalansvar. Dialogen som verktyg för ledaren i sam-manhanget är av intresse i denna studie. En analys av samtal med sex enhetschefer inom offentlig sektor har haft fokus på vikten av dialog och kommunikation inom en komplex organisation som Region Skånes sjukvårdsverksamhet.

Arbetarrörelsens bibliotekssträvanden i Sverige ? exemplet ABF-biblioteket i Oskarström

The purpose of this master's thesis is to describe and analyse the origin and development of the library of Workers´ Educational Association in the community of Oskarström. This library is special because the organisation run it much longer than usual, until 1977, and to find an answer to why, we have the following questions: Why does the library of Workers´ Educational Association start their activity in Oskarström, and how does it develop, in relation to premises, librarians, financing, the stock of books and the numbers of books out on loan? What is the reason that the library in Oskarström is municipalized as late as 1977? The methods we use are hermeneutics and evaluation of the sources. The library is founded in 1914 and become important for the workers. Important sources of income are the subventions given by the state, municipality and other associations.

Kommunalt samarbete för att stärka en turistdestination : en studie av turistdestinationen Roslagen

The purpose of the study is to investigate and elucidate how and why municipalities cooperate across municipal boundaries with destination development. To answer the purpose the authors chose two research questions:What are the incentives of cooperation between the municipalities in Roslagen? What are the possibilities and difficulties of cooperation? In order to answer the research questions interviews with local business managers, administrative director, the acting Head of destination and tourist office staff were made. Municipalities have signed a cooperation agreement in October/November 2008, where they will work more formal together to strengthen the destination Roslagen. The result of the study shows that the main motive for municipal cooperation is the sharing of financial resources to promote and develop the destination Roslagen together.

The use of entertainment in various kinds of business events has recently increased in popularity among Swedish firms. Often, stand-up comedians are hired to entertain the employees or customers during these happenings. Generally, the firm invests a considerable amount of money in this service and is furthermore willing to pay a premium for a famous comedian. Although the market for this type of service is fairly large, the knowledge of the motives behind the investments is yet limited.A grounded theory study is carried out exploring the purpose of the entertainment as well as the rationales behind the preference for a famous comedian over an unknown. Two general types of contexts (internal and external) are identified and a number of objectives related to each type are distinguished.

The purpose of this essay is to illustrate how the position of power / exercise of power are perceived in today's schools from the teacher's perspective. I have examined how students' freedom and democracy education interpreted in real life, and how this affects both teacher and student learning approaches. I would also highlight the need to set standards for children's psychological development related to the consequences will be. I have chosen to perform a qualitative research through individual interviews with five participating teachers from different experiences in different type of school. I have used the hermeneutic method of analysis to analyze the material.

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka hur stödet är organiserat i en kommun, när barn föds med eller hamnar i behov av särskilt stöd, upp till 20 år ålder, utifrån respondenternas beskrivningar. Arbetet ger en översikt över tidigare forskning om samverkan kring barn och ungdomar i behov av särskilt stöd och specialpedagogens roll i samverkansarbetet.

Strategier för en gräsrotsbyråkrat : en intervjustudie av biståndshandläggning i äldreomsorgen

In our paper we chose to study care management in the old age care. According to the law for the social services the needs of elderly should govern the assistance they are granted. But research has shown that municipal guidelines govern the assistance and that the elderly have to adjust their needs to them. Thus there is a discrepancy between law and practice. The aim of this study was to understand how care managers relate to municipal guidelines, laws and the requests of elderly when the application for assistance is established.

Much attention has been directed to Charity Foundations and how they use the donations given to them. Donators and external organisations put pressure on and evaluate the performance of Charity Foundations. The purpose of this thesis is to increase the understanding of how Charity Foundations handle the pressure from external parties through a qualitative case study of one Swedish Charity Foundation. The most important external factors have been identified and the accountability relationships between each party and the Charity Foundation have been examined. The empirical material was collected through semi-structured interviews and from written sources.

Drift och förvaltning av intranät : en jämförande studie av olika organisationer

Detta arbetes syfte är att göra en jämförelse av olika organisationer och undersöka vad som kännetecknar den organisation som finns uppbyggd kring intranätet och hur drift och förvaltning bedrivs av intranätet. Även frågan om vem eller vilka som ansvarar för intranätet behandlas i denna rapport. För att kunna göra jämförelser utifrån problemställningen har intervjuer genomförts i sju organisationer, som har eller är på väg att införa ett intranät, där alla är verksamma inom olika områden.Slutsatserna visar att många av de större organisationerna har någon form av organisation runt sitt intranät, för de mindre organisationerna, som även har mindre intranät, är det oftast en eller kanske några som hanterar drift och förvaltning av intranätet. Även i avseende på ansvaret för intranätet visar slutsatserna att det främst är de större organisationerna som har en specifik person som ansvarar för intranätet..

The intention with this essay is to investigate how the narration of the South Korean film Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (Park Chan-wook, 2002) relates to the Hollywood pictures of today. An important change which David Bordwell pays attention to is an intensifying of former stylistic paradigms in what he denominates as intensified continuity. That said, Bordwell and Kristin Thompson are in agreement on that the new films still are predominantly classical. The neoformalistic standpoint which Thompson and Bordwell use appears however to contain some problematic implications.

Användning av realtidsdatabas i diagnostiksystem

The main purpose in this degree thesis is to investigate changes in performance when introducing a newly produced Real-Time database in one of CC Systems products, the Diagnostic Runtime Engine, DRE. The thesis is a collaboration between CC Systems, creator of DRE, and Mimer AB, developer of the Real-Time database.The result reveals that the time spent on database access is considerably lesscompared to the originally used database. The research has lead to several additional requirements on the real-time database and these are presented as part of the result in this thesis. The additional features will help making the product more suitable for DRE and similar applications.Additional research is required to be able to recommend the use of this product or not. Primarily the performance in another operating system, Windows CE, but also the introduction of additional features should be investigated.
