I have in this study examined, through qualitative interviews, how adults with foreign background that are pupils in adult education in Sweden, understand the concepts democracy and dictatorship. Their expressed understandings have been compared with their former life experiences as well as with the aim of the social studies to create a qualitative understanding of essential social concepts. My starting point is theories about the adult in leaning processes. It has been assumed that the adult interprets the world much through former life experiences. I have also relied on the idea that having a qualitative, more scientific, understanding of essential subjects is important for the adult as a member of society and participator in the on-going political debate.

I den förberedande textanalysen undersöker jag några viktiga aspekter av artikeln. I min fördjupningsanalys tar jag avstamp i termen "re-gendering" och gör en djupdykning ner i engelskans "sex" och "gender" och svenskans motsvarigheter "kön" och "genus". There is a shortage of organs available for donation worldwide. There have been several campaigns to try to increase the numbers of registrered donors. The topic has been brought to the forefront but more work is still needed to distribute information to the public.The aim of this literature review was to examine what influences people in their decision to donate their organs or not, and what role nurses play in providing the most current information available. The study found that there was several different reasons given for not donating their organs. A great number of people were convinced that their religion was against organ donation.

The survey describes a number of risks that Swedish farming companies are exposed to. The risk areas covered by the survey are currency risks, price risks and financial risks. The survey further describes why these risks have a great impact on the future development of the farming companies. The survey highlights the interrelation between the risks and the measures which can be used to minimize the risks, so-called financial instruments. The aim of the survey is to put focus on above mentioned risks and describe how these risks can be reduced to prevent the Swedish farming industry from stagnating in the future. The survey is a secondary survey whereby existing knowledge about risks and risk management is applied to farming companies. The aim of this study has been to examine the role of control mechanisms when it comes to building relationships in a small business network. In order to reach this goal, we have performed a case study of a Swedish supplier of machines to the engineering industry, which acts as the exclusive representative of a foreign manufacturer on the Swedish market. Main results: A number of control mechanisms, both formal and informal, could be identified in the network. Their specific use, as well as relative importance differ between different actors in the network. In general, the importance of formal control mechanisms decreases as the relationship evolves over time and the importance of informal ones, mainly trust, increases in a corresponding manner..

Abstract:According to the curriculum of the Swedish school the pupils should develop their historical consciousness. The aim of this study was to find out which pupils develop this consciousness by listing to an historical novel, talking about that book and writing stories. The study went on for four weeks and the subject of the teaching was the Middle Ages. 28 pupils took part and a variety of methods were used: 1: questionnaire about the lives of the pupils, 2: Making observations of their attitude to the teaching and 3: story writing. The results show that the social background does not influence the development of an historical consciousness.

Detta examensarbete består av två delar, dels en översättning av en EU-relaterad text, dels en analysdel där översättningsproblem knutna till klarspråk diskuteras. Analysdelen består i sin tur av en textanalys av källtexten och en fördjupning i ett antal klarspråksfrågor som aktualiseras i översättningen. En av slutsatserna är att översättningens potentiella kvalitet i viss utsträckning är avhängig av källtextens kvalitet och komplexitet, och i vissa fall finns därför, i någon mån, en begränsning redan på källtextnivån. Vidare visas att en något friare överföring (än vad praxis är i den aktuella diskursen) kan vara till fördel för översättningen. Slutligen hävdas att textlingvistiska bearbetningar är ett bra sätt att öka läsarhänsynen och höja klarspråksfaktorn, samt att idiomaticitet är nära förbundet med klarspråk..

Swedish companies have not been late to follow and operate on the Chinese market driven by opportunities in sales, production, and sourcing. This work is about Cuban music and my relationship to it. My study contains two different parts. In the first one I try to give a short summary of Cuban music history. The second part is about possibilities and problems that can arise in the meeting with foreign cultures. I have focused on three themes: Music and respect, cultural encounters and travelling, and communication.

Syftet med uppsatsen har främst varit att undersöka hur svensklärare för år 9 motiverar litteraturläsning för sina elever samt att studera var produktionen av legitimeringsgrunderna för litteraturläsning finns. Undersökningen visar att flera forskare ställer sig kritiska till att attribuera litteraturläsningen en självklar nytta. The purpose of this study was to increase knowledge about what the lives of the unemployed youth of immigrant background looks like, and what the views of the unemployed young people are about work and employment. The study is a qualitative study where the empirical material is based on interviews with seven unemployed immigrant youth between the ages of 19 and 25 years. A study where the central questions was to explore how the informants' living conditions and identity are affected by being unemployed. The other issues aimed at how informants background affected their ability to enter the labour market, and the job expectations the informants had about the future and the Swedish labour market. Empirin have been analyzed with regard to methodology tool based theory, as well as theoretical starting points, such as social capital, formal and informal channels, ethnicity and stigma theory.
