Spel och simulatorer som skall avspegla existerande miljöer måste för spelaren vara trovärdiga vad gäller landskap, arkitektur, attribut och ljussättning. För att kunna bygga och implementera sådan realistiska och trovärdiga miljöer krävs ett grundligt förarbete med referensmaterial, skissarbete och tester. Under 10 veckor har jag gjort mitt examensarbete tillsammans med Försvarshögskolan och Data Ductus AB på ett projekt som vi kallar för Foreign Ground. Det har resulterat i en djupgående förstudie och research som ska bli en bra grund för att skapa en demonstrator till ett utbildningsspel. Spelet är tänkt att användas för träning av FN-soldater som är på väg till Liberia på utlandsmission.

The aim of this paper is to study how multiculturalism is expressed in the Swedish labour market policy. The method used for the investigation is a discourse analysis which study social and political processes in the society as created through language. The perspective of the discourse analysis is a social construction that considers that language is a social production created in a discursive way. It produces and reflects social process in the language.By using theories of national identity and multiculturalism we aim to investigate how multiculturalism is expressed in the labour market policy. With this method we aim to analyze the discourse of a political report made 2008 by the current government about integration strategies in Sweden.

In 2010 there will be a political resolution to ensure that the Swedish society is accessible to all citizens including people with disabilities. For this purpose a national action plan for disability policy "From patient to citizen" (Govt. Bill 1999/2000:79) has been set out with the aim of ensuring that the disability perspective will permeate every sector of society and that the approach and response to people with disabilities will be improved. The Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs is responsible for implementing the disability policy in the cultural sector.Since public libraries in Sweden are a part of the public cultural sector, they will also be affected by the political resolution regarding accessibility. The concept underpinning library services for disabled people must be that of equality of access.

This essay deals with the issue how to define the concept successful school and what ingredients it includes. To aim this task I have interviewed four principals at upper secondary schools, two placed in community schools and the other two working for non-community schools. We have discussed how the principals define a successful school, whether they believe that the principal has a major part in contributing to the schools success or not and further if they think that schools have anything in common with private companies.The principals all agreed on what components they believe a successful school consists of, that is good school results from the pupils, a high comfort level for the pupils at school, professional management from the principal and a high level of young people who wants to attend the particular school.Further I have studied Swedish and foreign research in the area of successful schools and management in schools to get at good background in this matter..

Syfte och frågeställningarDet övergripande syftet var att undersöka fotbollsklubbars inställning till att arbeta med en alkoholpolicy. Mer specifikt avser vi att jämföra en förening som har en alkoholpolicy (Skiljebo SK) med fem fotbollsföreningar som saknar en policy.Huvudfrågeställningar har varit:? Hur arbetar Skiljebo SK med alkoholpolicyn och alkoholfrågor?? Hur har Skiljebo SK:s alkoholpolicy mottagits av spelare och ledare?? Hur arbetar fotbollsföreningar som inte har en alkoholpolicy med alkoholfrågor?? Hur ser spelare och ledare i icke alkoholpolicy föreningar på alkoholfrågor?? Vad är orsaken till att föreningarna saknar en alkoholpolicy?? Vilka för- respektive nackdelar kan det finnas med att arbeta med alkoholpolicy?MetodVi har genomfört intervjuer med anställda personer i sex fotbollsföreningar på respektive förenings- hemort, där en förening arbetar med alkoholpolicy samt fem föreningar som saknar en alkoholpolicy. Vi har även genomfört en enkätundersökning där såväl spelare som ledare i senior- och flicklag har medverkat. Svaren i undersökningarna har vi använt för att hitta för- respektive nackdelar med att arbeta med en alkoholpolicy.ResultatI Skiljebo SK finns det en alkoholpolicy som samtliga aktiva i föreningen får ta del av.

I detta examensarbete analyseras om elektroniska fastighetsköp är framtiden i Sverige. Analysen genomförs genom en komparativ studie av den svenska respektive den finska lagstiftningen för fastighetsköp, ansökan om lagfart och ansökan om inteckning. För att besvara den övergripande frågeställningen besvaras ett flertal delfrågor, däribland om formkravets syfte och ändamål uppnås om elektroniska fastighetsköp införs. I examensarbetet konstateras att nuvarande bestämmelser förvisso är fungerande, men att ett flertal positiva följder inträder om elektroniska fastighetsköp införs. Som exempel underlättas parternas upprättande av köpehandlingen.

The purpose of this study is to focus on library service for children in a hospital, which in turn is seen in relation to a traditional children s library. Four aspects of library work were investigated. These aspects were working methods, partners of co-operation for the libraries, media policy (acquisition, use of the collection and circulation procedures), as well as programme activities for children.The research method was qualitative and comparative in nature, consisting of case studies of two libraries : (1) the library in a children s hospital, known as Bokskogen at Astrid Lindgren s children s hospital in Stockholm and (2) a traditional children s library, the children s department at Eslövs city library. In each library interviews were conducted. The investigation shows that the librarians in the hospital library must be more outreaching and active in order to stimulate children to use library materials.

Collaborative planning ? a comparative study of theory and practice Why There is today, according to my experience, a growing interest and demand for a more inclusive and transparent planning process. Also, if we are going to be able to reach a truly sustainable society it is my belief that there is a need for a more integrated collaboration between different actors. Where the social, economic and ecological values can influence and benefit from each other. The question then is, how can the planning system accommodate that kind of collaboration? Purpose My aim for this thesis has been to study a selection of the theoretical work that exist about collaborative planning.

This essay is about the representation of orthodox Christianity in Swedish educational material. With the help of my analytical approach inspired by Michel Foucault, I have studied material used in school for the subject Religion. I have limited the educational material in two ways. First, the main reason for this is that I am only interested in material written and produced from the year 2010 until today. Secondly, the material I have chosen to focus on is written for the grades 7-9 and for high school.

 The aim of this paper was to investigate how many students studying Swesdish as a foreign language, at secondary school level, in Tierps kommun, that have dropped out and their reasons for doing so. The reason for this is the report from Skolverket, stating that the rate of drop outs at this level is very high. To investigate this, a quantitative method was used. A questionnaire was sent out to all the students that dropped out 2005-2008. The result showed that the two main reasons for leaving their studies were that the individuals had found a job or thought the studies were too hard. The research also showed that the majority of the students had not been in contact with Career counseller prior to ending their studies. We came to the conclusion that there might be a need for developing the teaching and to work out routines for guidance at drop out situations.

The main purpose with this study is to describe teachers? use of textbooks and other teaching materials in upper secondary school (gymnasiet) in Sweden, and to discuss the use according to school subject and teacher style. Data was collected in two different ways. At first twenty classroom observations were made during lectures concerning the subjects Swedish (mothertounge), English (foreign language) and religion. Then four open interviews were carried out with the teaching teachers.

I denna uppsats har språket i 504 svenska internetforuminlägg skrivna av personer i åldrarna 20-25 år och 40 år och äldre undersökts. Inläggens språkliga form har undersökts genom att förekomsten av tio olika okonventionella språkdrag hämtade från menings-, ord- och teckennivå har analyserats. Analysen av inläggen visar att det finns ett tydligt samband mellan språket i inläggen och skribentens ålder. Den yngre gruppen forumdeltagares inlägg karakteriseras av ett stort antal okonventionella språkdrag som anses vara typiska för datordialoger, medan den äldre gruppens inlägg innehåller färre sådana okonventionella språkdrag och alltså istället har ett språk som i högre utsträckning följer den traditionella skriftspråksnormen..
