Ny form för framtiden? Uppfattningar om identiteten hos de nya högskolebiblioteken i Malmö och på Södertörn

There are reasons to believe that recent changes in the Swedish academic library environment create new images of identity. New information technology, changed educational methods and increasing numbers of students in higher education heavily influence the professional basis for librarians. The purpose of this essay is to examine and describe how the images of identity are conceived and expressed by staff in two university colleges in Sweden, Malmö University and Södertörn University. We define identity as the images of what the library is, what it is aiming to be in the future, what it should do and how. In a qualitative study attitudes towards and opinions of the role of the library in the university environment are investigated.

 The aim of this two-years master?s thesis is to examine the role of the body and the importance of nonverbal communication in the library workplace and to explore the possibility of becoming more nonverbally skilled. For this purpose a course was developed and presented to nine librarians in a public library in the vicinity of Stockholm in February, 2011. Qualitative interviews with the librarians were conducted after the course.Important theories for this work were Annemaree Lloyd?s thoughts on corporeality, Erving Goffman?s dramaturgical sociology and John Dewey?s learning by doing.

Through previous studies during my education, I have experienced that chemical deicing road salt is a known problem, mainly in southern Sweden. Road salt causes damage to the environment and also damage to vehicles and structures such as bridges, etc. Road salt causes vehicles and steel constructions to rust, leading to increased costs for repairs of damage to structures. Road salt also causes damage to the plants and the economy to suffer, when plant material and soil needs to be replaced. In order to get closer to a solution, I put up three questions.

I motsats till detta ökar ohälsotalen. Fler och fler blir sjukskrivna samtidigt som sjuknärvaron på arbetsplatser sägs öka. Ett intresse för detta motsatsförhållande var ursprunget till min studie.

En studie om bevarandet av autonomi för äldre personer med demens diagnos

Öckerö kommun var 1999 den kommun i Västra Götaland som hade störst problem med ungdomsfylleri.År 2002 anställdes en drogförebyggande samordnare i kommunen som genomprojektet Alla Överens arbetar för att påverka föräldrar och andra vuxna till att inte tolereraalkohol bland underåriga. Sedan dess har alkoholanvändningen bland ungdomarna sjunkitdrastiskt. Tidigare forskning kring ungdomars alkoholbeteende visar att föräldrars attityd tillungdomsdrickande till stor del påverkar barnens alkoholanvändande. Även faktorer som stödoch kontroll i form av regler och tillsyn har visat sig vara skyddande, medan kontroll i formav bestraffning och hot samt alkohol i hemmet anses mindre bra. Syftet med uppsatsen är attundersöka vilken attityd föräldrarna till elever i högstadiet i Öckerö kommun har till ungdomarsalkoholbeteende, samt hur de genom stöd, kontroll och eget drickande påverkar sinabarns alkoholbeteende.

Social kompetens : -inte bara att varatrevlig och snäll

AbstractMy study is based on that I think there is a problem at the Handicraft program for hairdressers where I currently work as a hairdresser teacher. I believe that there are clear objectives and a wide range of courses focusing in craft knowledge, but the social competence goals are unclear and there are no courses on the subject. Since I have 13 years hairdressing experience and know roughly what it requires, I wonder where and how the teaching of social skills is performed at the Handicraft program for hairdressersThe purpose of this study is therefore to find out how some of my colleagues perceive the teaching of social skills. The issues I have focused on are what these teachers believe that social skills are, how they perceive their teaching of it and when they believe that teaching really should be. There is not much literature on this subject because it is a relatively unexplored area. I have therefore concentrated on literature dealing with social skills in general, and theses and essays dealing with the quality of hairdressing education. I have chosen to make a qualitative interview study. The objectives related to social skills can be incorporated in the teaching of many subjects; I chose to interview two core-subject teachers and four vocational teachers. The interviews have been based on respondents' own interpretations of social skills. They have been individual interviews of about 30 minutes. My results show that most teachers believe that social competence is about a good meeting between people and to coping with different situations in a good way.

?Jag jobbar som polis men jag brukar inte säga att jag är en polis? : En kvalitativ studie om polisyrkets påverkan på den enskilde individen med fokus på roller samt emotioner

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding about the police profession's impact on the singular individual, with a focus on roles, regions and emotions. The main question is to understand if and then so, how individuals outside of work will be affected of the profession and professional events. In order to answer this question I carried out six semi-structured in-depth interviews with police officers who worked at the main office in a police region in a midsize city in Sweden. To ensure reliability and allow readers to conduct their own assessments the quotations in this study are anonymous. The analysis of the collected material is based on selected parts of Goffman's theories about dramaturgical perspective as well as selected emotion theories.

Kompetensutveckling inom offentlig verksamhet : En kvalitativ studie om medarbetares upplevelse av möjlighet till lärande och kompetenutveckling

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka möjligheterna till kompetensutveckling på två olika verksamhetsområden inom Landstinget Halland. Vi vill få en förståelse för vilka förutsättningar som krävs för lärande och kompetensutveckling inom organisationen. Avsikten med undersökningen  är att få svar på forskningsfrågorna: (1) Hur upplever medarbetaren sina möjligheter till kompetensutveckling inom Landstinget Halland? (2) Hur ser vårdenheternas arbetsplatslärande ut? (3) Vilka förutsättningar finns för arbetsplatslärande inom vårdenheterna? (4) Vilka faktorer bidrar till att medarbetarna inom Landstinget Halland vill stanna och utvecklas? För att få svar på dessa frågor har vi gjort nio stycken individuella intervjuer med respondenter som innehar olika yrkesgrupper inom Landstinget Halland. Resultatet vi fick var att respondenternas upplevelse av sina möjligheter att kompetensutvecklas inom Landstinget Halland var och goda och att det finns ett gott lärklimat och en infrastruktur för hur ett lärande ska ske.
