The aim of this essay is to make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The first is a study of literature used in archaeological education at five Swedish universities. The other two consists of a study which is aimed to find out how textile research results are published, and one in which archaeologists and textile researchers have answered questions about how they experience the relation between archaeology and textile research.There has also been done a comparison between interpretations of the archaeological material from the site of Löddeköpinge in west Scania.

?Högfrekvenshandel har de senaste åren växt till att bli en betydande kraft på de finansiella marknaderna och således även fått mycket medial uppmärksamhet. Den här medieuppmärksamheten intensifierades den 6:e maj 2010 då "Flash-krashen" inträffade på Dow Jones indexet i New York och påverkade marknader över hela världen.Vår avsikt med den här kandidatuppsatsen är att kritiskt granska högfrekvenshandeln som fenomen samt den diskussion som förs angående ytterligare reglering av handeln. Detta görs genom en inledande period av litteraturstudier som kompletteras med djupintervjuer av olika aktörer på marknaden.Våra resultat visar att högfrekvenshandeln inte för med sig så stora negativa effekter som media målar upp, och att den forskning som gjorts på ämnet indikerar att handeln främst tillför positiva effekter i form av ökad likviditet och minskad volatilitet.Uppsatsen behandlar även dagens regleringssituation och analyserar de förslag på åtgärder som har lagts fram på EU-nivå. Vår analys visar att många av de förslag som diskuteras är direkt missriktade och inte adresserar det egentliga problemet? en situation som kantas av oklara roller gällande tillsyn och övervakning..

Syftet med denna studie var att se på alternativa metoder för inlärning av ismer inom arkitektur. Teori från området pedagogik, liksom kognitiva teorier var viktiga verktyg för att kunna skapa ett gränssnitt till en interaktiv utställning. Syftet med detta läromedel var att skapa en inlärningsmiljö som främjar självstyrt lärande och skapar intresse för fortsatt inlärning för vuxna. Det var viktigt att granska och jämföra alternativ för teori och programvara för att kunna välja lämpliga verktyg.Programvaran Autodesk 3D Studio Max användes för att visualisera två typexempel inom två ismer. Dessa var: Barcelonapaviljongen av Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, och Vitra brandstation av Zaha Hadid.

Internet is the future and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is growing in use. Companies are starting to realise the benefits with VoIP. Skype is the number one soft phone on the market but it doesn't satisfy the needs of companies (e.g. transfer calls, redirects calls and so forth) and leaves therefore a gap. The purpose of this master thesis is to provide Objektor AB (thesis initiator) with tips on how to design a usable soft phone that they know is based on relevant human computer interaction research.The method used in the thesis has been iterative development.

This report describes the work process to an interactive movie addressed to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, where Jippieserien is the client. The aim is to explore how multimodal media can convey Jippieseriens message to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their parents, by taking the users needs into account.It is important to focus on the people who will use the system when designing interactive systems. This project measures the upper bound of exposure time for laser reflection detection in the software DotDetector. Via measurement of the exposure time for which distortion happens in a room lit with everyday light we conclude that the upper bound for exposure times are 100 milliseconds. This value does not change as long as the lighting in the room is the same. As future work this project proposes variable upper bounds depending on secondary lighting in the room. In visual programming the developer specifies her code, using visual tools. Within the range of visual programming languages lay icon-based languages, form-based languages, and diagram languages.Mediator is a multimedia authoring tool that allows the user to create interactive CD-ROM presentations, dynamic HTML pages and Flash projects, without any coding or scripting. The user can create interactivity in her project, using event driven and icon-based visual programming, through a ?drag and drop? user interface. This report intends to determine some of the qualifications of a tool of this kind, as well as its limitations.The report is based on a case study, in which a smaller software application was to be updated using Mediator 9.

The City of Gothenburg has an urgent need to upgrade its public transport. The capacity of its light rail transit (LRT) has reached maximum capacity within the inner city limits years ago. The construction of an underground metro will be very expensive and time consuming due to the soft clay beneath the city. The apparent need of developing another type of mass rapid transit (MRT) is urgent. An elevated metro have turned out to be a success in Greater Vancouver, but is it possible for the system to operate well in Gothenburg with its narrow streets and current land use; will its route coexist with the current LRT or will the noise disturb people too much?.

Examensarbetet bestod av följande delar: • Undersöka vilket webbläsarplugin som var lämpligt att använda till en sådan applikation. • Utveckla Lovemates3D med hjälp av valt plugin. Uppgiften löstes genom att söka på Internet efter tänkbara webbläsarplugin, jämföra dess för- och nackdelar med varandra och välja ett av dessa som plattform vid utveckling av Lovemates3D.

The food prices in Finland and Sweden have been a subject for discussion for several years back in time. From the opponents against further European integration one have often heard that the EU and EMU entrance have made an negative impact on the food prices. This study show us that the impactof the entrances was extensive in the short run but rather finite and insignificant in the long run.Other important factors that describe why food prices fluctuate is also discussed. The mainconclusion is that other factors than the EU and EMU entrance should be seen as more likely whenit comes to the development of food prices.
