Syftet med denna intervjustudie var att beskriva närståendes upplevelser när en person överlevt hjärtstopp och som därefter genomgått hypotermibehandling. Åtta intervjuer ligger till grund för studien. Dataanalys genomfördes med en kvalitativ tematisk innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i åtta kategorier som sammanfördes i tre teman: att livet stannar upp, att känna tillit och stöd och att känna oro inför framtiden. Resultatet visade att deltagarna upplevde händelsen som skrämmande då personen helt oväntat drabbats av ett hjärtstopp.

The aim of this study was to describe how body language of humans affects the domestic dog (Canis familiaris) and how it can be implanted in the stressed situation that occur at an animal hospital. The subject is brought to notice because the author has experienced that dogs can get more stressed when a stressed and nervous owner is attending. Humans affect each other through posture, facial expression, voice and movement, and are often driven by their emotions, which can differentiate the verbal communication from the non-verbal communication. This occurs both consciously and unconsciously. Every human uses body language but not everyone knows how it is used or how to understand it.

Möbius sequence is a rare condition where affected cranial nervesoften lead to speech deviations due to reduced oral motor functioning. Thisstudy aimed to survey speech deviations, compensatory strategies and selfperceptionof speech in seven people with Möbius sequence, and to linkthese to oral motor function and intelligibility. Additionally, the immediateeffects of smile surgery were investigated in one person. The abovementioneddomains were studied instrumentally, perceptually and throughstructured interviewing. All participants displayed reduced oral motorfunction.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate how four 3rd grade pedagogues allow communication in the teaching of mathematics and how these pedagogues allow their students to use and expand their language of mathematics. It has also been an aim to investigate these four pedagogues? opinions about the significance of communication and of the language of mathematics for students? mathematical learning.The study is based on a sociocultural perspective of Vygotskij?s. The theory implies the importance of using the language and communication for students? learning.

This study has a qualitative approach and deals with difficult issues that arise in connection to male violence against women in close relations. The purpose of this study is to bring clarity to why women stay in violent relationships. I have been studying two leading theories, one called the Normalization Process of Violence represented by Eva Lundgren (sociology and theology). The other leading theory is the Neutralization of Violence represented by Margareta Hydén (fil dr and leg psycho therapeut).I have also studied the fight between these two theories for the leading position in the research on male violence against women. Eva Lundgren presents her theory through a structural perspective.

I Sverige drabbas årligen mellan 6 000 till 10 000 personer av ett hjärtstopp. Majoriteten av personerna som drabbas av ett hjärtstopp får det utanför sjukhuset. Ambulanspersonal är de som larmas först ut till platsen för att påbörja det akuta omhändertagandet av en person med hjärtstopp. Effektiv behandling av hjärtstopp prehospitalt innefattar bland annat hjärt- och lungräddning (HLR). Ett hjärtstopp är en krävande uppgift för ambulanssjuksköterskan då det gäller att snabbt bedöma och påbörja behandlingen.

The reason why this essay is written can be parted in two, whereas one would be the global trend of urbanization that occurs to this moment and forward, whereas the other would be the debate of how motorism has come to be an issue of sustainable management of our cities and our environment. In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.

Based on a review of literature on evalution of public activities and in purpose to introduce amore general framework, this study describes a picture of the concept, context, motives,strategies, use and actors in Evaluation as these are experienced outside the field of libraryand information. The background is the increased need for" evaluations in public libaries and aneed for new LIS knowledge about it. The reviewed literature has its origin in differentdisciplinary contexts and the study include contributions from policy studies, sociologi,education research, business administration, philosophy and anthropology. The focus, though,is not placed upon differences in the literature but on similarities.The review is organised in six parts. In the first part a presentation is given of how evaluationsare conceptualized and its meaning in a historical perspective.

Dessa bestämmelser syftar till att stärka skyddet mot barn- och tvångsäktenskap, där två nya brott infördes i brottsbalken. Dessa brott har brottsrubriceringen äktenskapstvång och vilseledande till tvångsäktenskapsresa. Brottsrubriceringen äktenskapstvång avser den som genom olaga tvång eller utnyttjande av utsatta omständigheter lyckas få en person att ingå ett äktenskap eller en äktenskapsliknande överenskommelse.

Background: Obesity has expanded to a nationwide issue that affects millions of people. The healthcare system struggles to handle the epidemic as the problem grows. Studies show that healthcare workers have negative attitudes toward obese and overweight people and that they lack knowledge and proper tools to support this patient group. Motivational interviewing (MI) is a known technique for initiating lifestyle changes with patients. Aim: The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of MI as a tool for weight loss and sustainable lifestyle changes for people with obesity and overweight. Method: This study uses a literature review methodology with a systematic perspective. Data is gathered and analyzed to investigate how MI affects weight loss.

This study aims to find out what relationship high school students have to social networks at the Internet. This has been done by focusing on norms/standards that adolescents can feel under stress to achieve, through stressing themselves by social networks in a way that is consistent with the norms. The empirical data has been gathered by questionnaires which have been answered by adolescents in randomly selected schools and classes in a medium size Swedish town, Karlskrona. The result showed that all of the participating adolescents have user accounts on a social network. Furthermore it also emerged that a lot of the adolescents thought that norms existed that should be followed in a social network about how to stress oneself.

The purpose of this study is to look into what part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled persons into the society. What I wanted to know more about was how the mentally disabled persons experience the library. I also wanted to find out what librarians and persons working with mentally disabled persons have to say about the part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled into the society. The study is based on interviews and literature studies. I have interviewed two librarians, four mentally disabled persons and two persons working with mentally disabled people.

Damages have four main functions: reparation, placing of the costs, distribution of the losses and prevention. The rules about damages evolved before liability insurance had the extension it has today, 97 % of the Swedish populations is covered by liability insurance, since it is included in the comprehensive household insurance. Liability insurance should be looked at in the light of the damage rules, but the rules about damages are adapted to the insurance possibilities.The Law of damages contains, though the general adjustment article 6:2, the adjustment article 2:4 about children and the adjustment article 2:5 about the mentally ill, a possibility to adjust a non reasonable damage claim. If the liability insurance covers the damages no adjustment is made. Even when the adjustment articles are being used the damages is a heavy burden for the person who is liable for the damages.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskeyrket har sedan 1800-talet ansetts vara passande för endast kvinnor. Så sent som på 1900-talets mitt blev det accepterat för män att utöva yrket. Forskning visar att sjuksköterskeyrket fortfarande domineras av kvinnor och präglas av fördomar och stereotypa bilder med förutfattade meningar om vem sjuksköterskan är och hur en sjuksköterska ska vara. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilken subjektsform sjuksköterskestudenter vid Uppsala Universitet använder vid benämning av sjuksköterskan i godkända examensarbeten, att analysera detta ur ett genusperspektiv samt att se om det har förändrats över tid. Metod: Deskriptiv, kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod.

Alzheimers sjukdom är den vanligaste av alla demenssjukdomarna. Den kallas även för de anhörigas sjukdom, eftersom en hel familj drabbas om någon familjemedlem får denna diagnos. Att drabbas av Alzheimers sjukdom kan innebära en stor förändring för alla inblandade. När en människa drabbas av kronisk sjukdom, förändras hela livssituationen, både för den drabbade och dennes familj. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur de närmast anhöriga upplever att leva med en person drabbad av Alzheimers sjukdom.
