Background:Studies show that when nurses are experiencing problems in the care of non-Swedish speaking patients, it is often due to obstacles in the communication. Studies also show that a prerequisite for adequate care is that there is a basis for a direct communication. Nurses perceive interpreters as an important link to the patient when they do not share a mutual language, the nurses perceive interpreters as a bridge in the conversation.Aim:The purpose of the study is to describe nurses' experiences of the quality of assessments done with the help of an interpreter.Method:The study was conducted through interviews with ten nurses, working at psychiatric clinics. Qualitative content analysis was used for the analysis, which resulted in five categories.Results:The analysis resulted in one theme: "it´s the interpreter who tells me and have not the feeling that the patient has" and five categories: "shades of the language", "conversation structure", "the interpreter's competence", "interpreting implementing" and "the interpreter's gender and origin". The nurses experience working with interpreters as a challenge.

The main purpose with the project has been to approximate the magnitude of the pollution transport from the actual road surfaces and to get an approximation of the possibility to collect the pollutants to reduce the load to the water and improve the water quality.The quantity of pollution transport from the most trafficated roads areas in Örebro city has been calculated. Roads whith a traffic exceeding 10 000 vehicle/day. The study has been done with the calculation tool StormTac. Through analysis of traffic loads and road surface, which together with a different kinds of parameters gives an approximation of the pollutant transport.The calculation has included some metals and other substances in the stormwater and has also included the present of suspended solids. Included the overall study, some smaller areas has also been calculated for the possibility to remove pollutants.The work also includes calculation for three different areas for stormwater treatment.

This study uses qualitative research consisting of six semi-structural interviews of treatment workers who, in various capacities, have worked with men who use violence against their female partners. The purpose has been to show what the treatment counselor understand to be the reasons behind the men?s violence, what kind of backgrounds and problems they believe these abusers have and, lastly, how they view the male abusers as clients. The empirical data was analyzed through four perspectives and explanatory models derived from the past thirty years of Scandinavian research on the reasons behind men?s violence against women.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra Multilens Bilux Iris-glas mot deras vanliga polariserade filterglas på syncentralspatienter med uttalade bländningsbesvär.Metod: I studien undersöktes 15 personer mellan 42-89 år. Försökspersonerna som hade bokad tid hos Syncentralen i Kalmar fick valet att ställa upp på en studie där de skulle få testa ytterligare ett filterglas. Patienterna återkallades efter ett par veckor då synskärpetester gjordes i hög och lågkontrast med och utan bländningsbelysning. Undersökningen innefattade även en intervju under vilken patienten fick berätta vad han/hon tyckte om respektive glas.Resultat: Kontrast påverkade visus. Högkontrast visus påverkades inte nämnvärt med olika filterglasen eller bländning.

De senaste fem åren har tågresandet ökat med 28 procent. Den ökade trafiken har lett till ett högt utnyttjande av anläggningar och fordon. Det har i sin tur medfört stora problem med punktligheten av tågtrafiken. För att matcha den ökande trafiken på Sveriges järnvägar ska detta examensarbete undersöka om man kan implementera Lean produktion för Banverkets byte av spårväxlar för att göra dessa mer effektiva. För att ta reda på vad Lean produktion egentligen är gjordes en litteraturstudie.

Pulvermetallurgi är en tillverkningsteknik för en stor mängd maskinkomponenter såsom kugghjul, lager och filter. Tillverkningen sker genom sammanpressning och upphettning, eller sintring, av ett fint metallpulver för att på så sätt direkt skapa komponenter med önskad form, istället för att behöva skära bort delar av detaljen för att det ska erhålla den önskade formen. Detta är särskilt fördelaktigt vid kugghjulstillverkning, på grund av deras komplexa former. Tekniken är även ekonomiskt fördelaktig eftersom den knappt producerar något spillmaterial alls i jämförelse med alternativa tillverkningstekniker. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka huruvida pulvermetallurgi är lämplig som tillverkningsmetod för kugghjul som ska användas i lastbilars växellådor, en applikation som kännetecknas av väldigt höga belastningar och driftsäkerhetskrav.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to study librarians? views on children and young people as Internet users in Swedish libraries. It examines what types of problems and possibilities the librarians see with children?s and young people?s use of the Internet, how these problems might be solved, and what they think about regulations and filters. Qualitative interviews were conducted with nine librarians, and their statements were analysed with David Buckingham?s After the death of childhood as a theoretical foundation.

The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible.

The use of Power Line Communication, PLC, as a communication solution for Automated Meter Reading, AMR, is popular by utilities in Sweden and other parts of the world due to demands of accurate and fast meter reading. However the use of the electrical grid as a communication medium is complex and sometimes problematic. This report handles some of the issues and problems that are important to understand when using the grid as a communications medium. Focus is mainly on investigating high frequency distortion in the Kristianstad power grid own by C4energi caused by a frequency converter. Measurements on site are done to investigate signal damping in the grid, different configurations for the frequency converter and signal strength of the PLC-system.

Förvaring för våtrum är ett examensarbete genomfört av Elina Svensson på Innovations- ochdesigningenjörsprogrammet (Iod) vid Karlstads universitet (Kau) vårterminen 2009. Arbetetomfattar 22.5 hp.Uppdraget utvecklades sedan studenten identifierat ett återkommande problem vid förvaring ibadrummet; bristen och avsaknaden av hyllor och skåp. Målet med examensarbetet var därföratt skapa en förvaringslösning för våtutrymmen, som är lätt att förändra efter behov och interiskerar att bryta fuktspärren eller efterlämna hål i väggen.Examensarbetet försökte i flera steg kartlägga och identifiera vad andra vill få ut av sittbadrum och se om det var fler som hade stött på detta problem. Detta gjordes med hjälp avenkäter, observationer och intervjuer. Det visade sig att problemet och behovet var svårare attidentifiera än först trott.Men genom en fördjupad research kom arbetet i kontakt med företaget Inwall i Katrineholm.Inwall har utvecklat ett nytt och snabbare sätt att renovera badrum.
