2004, the SSR, Akademikerförbundet, made a study on the threats and violence as a social secretary in the municipal social services are exposed in their occupation of the "social secretary of threats and violence at work" (T-110192), conducted by Temo ab. We have chosen to use the study on a smaller scale and then made contact with five municipalities in the middle of Sweden to investigate social secretaries experiences of threats and violence. Using the cross-sectional design and a convenience sample, we have gained access to data from 56 people. From a sociological perspective, we have chosen to use Norbert Elias theory of universal configuration and interdependence, and Michel Foucault?s theories concerning power search explanation for the existence of threats and violent situations in the contact between social workers and their clients..

           AbstractAims: To explore whether and in that case how nurses question women in the psychiatric care about violence in close relationships and how nurses respond to women who have been exposed to domestic violence.Method: A qualitative descriptive interview study with twelve nurses from four psychiatric wards was carried out in Uppsala. Informants were chosen from a convenient selection. The interviews with semi-structured interview questions were recorded on tape, transcribed and analyzed with content analysis.Results: There is no routine to ask all female patients if they are victims of violence. It happens only in cases where the suspicion arises or is confirmed. It is individually whether and how the nurse asks the woman if she is subjected to violence in a close relationship, depending on patient and nurse.

En av de största utmaningarna som dagens språkpedagoger står inför är hur de bäst kan stimulera och motivera till lärande. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka huruvida användandet av film i spanskundervisningen kan fungera som motivationsskapare för inlärning. Den teoretiska delen av studien består av följande delar; kultur i språkundervisningen, Knud Illeris och hans lärandeteorier, lärandeteorier och språk och avslutningsvis aktuell forskning om film i språkklassrummet. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra spansklärare och analyserar hur de ser på film som didaktiskt verktyg i spanskundervisningen. Undersökningens resultat visar hur medvetna lärarna är om vikten av en undervisning som är stimulerande och motiverande och att de ser film som en mycket användbar och flexibel metod för att skapa intresse och utveckla samtliga språkliga förmågor hos eleverna..

This essay will focus on the people using and are involved in, and have a large interest in the horror film genre. The purpose of this essay is to find what urge these people to continuously watch horror movies and how they believe to be acknowledge by the society in a modern sense. Our study is mainly based on two separate interviews and therefore, mainly from the users perspective. This essay is also complemented by earlier research on this topic. In context of stigma, violence debate, exclusion we found that the users truly can be found in a rare type of alternative sphere, besides the public sphere.

The aim of the study was to examine individual staff experience and management of threats and violence in the acute psychiatric department for children and teenagers in Uppsala. Previous research shows that the experience of threats and/or violence is individual, and that it is difficult to distinguish between these concepts. The aim of this research paper is to explore men?sspecific experiences of intimate partner violence in heterosexual relationships in a Swedish context, through a gender perspective and with a qualitative research approach. The aim of this thesis is to examine possibilities concerning subject access to fiction film, i.e. appropriate ways to describe fiction film for subject retrieval. Problems regarding subject indexing in general, and subject indexing of fiction film in particular, are identified, as well as the uniqueness of fiction film and film genres. Four types of subject aspects are discussed: form and genre, fictitious characters, setting, and general topics. Several guidelines, form- and genre lists, and subject headings lists are examined and treated as potential indexing tools.

The overall purpose of this study is to make a survey of the extent as to which youths have witnessed acts of violence and or violence in close relationships, and which underlying factors, sex, class, and ethnicity ? characterize youths with such experiences. Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur fyra svensklärare verksamma inom grundskolan och gymnasiet använder film som didaktiskt verktyg i syfte att normproblematisera och utveckla elevers språk. Metoden som används är semistrukturerad intervju. Resultatet visar att svensklärarna låter sina elever diskutera och reflektera kring vad filmer förmedlar genom både muntliga och skriftliga uppgifter samt övningar av olika slag. De är av åsikten att arbete med film är språkutvecklande och att man kan diskutera många olika aspekter utifrån film. Slutsatsen vi drar är att svensklärare med hjälp av film kan skapa meningsfulla sammanhang som gynnar elevernas utveckling vad gäller språk och medvetenhet kring normer..

Syftet med undersökningen är att studera hur lärare i ämnet historia resonerar kring användandet av film i undervisningen. Fokus ligger på att undersöka hur lärarna anger att de går tillväga när de gör sitt filmurval och i vilket syfte de uppger att de visar film. This study was performed to investigate how the Japanese sect Aum Shinrikyo was legitimating its violence and killing acts. By analyzing the leader and members of the sect, and applying this information on two theoretical models, this paper tries to give an explanation of both single acts of violence and killing, and two terrorattacks.The result shows that Aum Shinrikyo was able to legitimate violence and killing acts through its ideology. In their opinion, cosmos was a place with several levels and everyone wanted to get as high as possible. Those who were killed by the sect would never be able to get to a higher level by living, since they would do too many bad actions. The murderers also got better karma since they helped the person to a better place.The legitimating of violence and killing acts in Aum Shinrikyo can be explained as a duty that is holy, which agrees with the theorists about religious terrorism..
