Green roofs have seen a revival in the society of today. They provide many functions of which both society as a whole and the individual can take part. In particular extensive green roofs, that requires little or even zero maintenance, provides very valuable functions. Green roofs affect our environment and our economy in a positive manner as well as the physical expression of buildings. In this bachelor thesis the impact of green roofs on society has been examined throughout literature studies. The result as a compilation of contemporary research in this field is presented together with a discussion about the use of green roofs in general. The two major arguments for an extended use of green roofs are, the high stormwater retention capacity and the cost-benefits seen over time compared to a conventional roof.

Vi ville inventera begreppet värdegrund och arbetet kring detta i gymnasieskolan och ta reda på hur eleverna ser på detta. Vår hypotes är att en gemensam värdegrund inte är förenlig med de överigripande demokratiska värderingarna. Vi har genomfört intervjuer med elever, lärare och sakkunniga i syfte att ge en grund för samtal och dialog i klassrummet. För att redovisa dessa samtal har vi valt film som medium Vi tror att det är i ett samhälle med grundläggande skillnader i värderingar som demokratin hålls levande och det är framför allt på grund av dessa skillnader som vi behöver demokratin. Behovet av produktplaceringssamarbeten ökar eftersom traditionell reklam minskar i effektivitet samtidigt som filmproduktioner kräver större budgetar. Bondfilmer har lockat publik i 50 år vilket gör det möjligt att studera relationen mellan filmernas karaktär och produktplaceringar ur ett historiskt perspektiv. Materialet består av den första filmen Dr. No (1962) samt den senaste filmen Skyfall (2012). Semiotiska analyser görs av scener med framträdande produktplaceringar.

Det föränderliga rummet är ett scenografiskt projekt på kandidatnivå vid institutionen för inredningsarkitektur och möbeldesign på Konstfack våren 2008. Det är ett arbete som syftar till att inleda ett scenografiskt tänkande genom utforskandet av en metod för att berätta genom rum.I utforskandet av metoden har sex texter gestaltats i samma volym och dokumenterats genom animation. This is an analysis of the music in the television-series The Tudors (2007 ? 2010). The opening credits and how death is portrayed musically in the last episode are analyzed. My question is what functions the music has. The method used is Michel Chion?s masking-method.

This project is a learning CD-ROM production aimed at first-time parents. It is using both sound and images, moving as well as non-moving. The purpose of the production is to be an interesting alternative to traditional books. We have been looking at similar productions like drivers license educational CD-ROMs and encyclopedias for inspiration and ideas on how to proceed. In order to give the content some dynamics, we've also added the element of 3D-animated sequences. The application is supposed to be run as a simple executable file with flash embedded.

My intention with this essay has been to examine how men?s tears are portrayed in three chosen films and what their crying does to their masculinity. In my analysis I have used the concept of hegemonic masculinity. I have worked from the assumption that in our culture men?s crying is problematic in some sense.

Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP) is a form of product take-back regulation that requires the producers to manage their products at the end of life. By internalising the products? entire life cycle costs into the market price the ultimate objective of such regulations is to reduce the environmental burden from the products. This Master´s thesis seeks to examine if the total life cycle cost of a product actually is borne by the producer, and if not, predict who will then take this cost. This is done by analysing the market for take-back activities in three different categories of products; electrical and electronic equipment, cars and wind power stations.

Vi hör ofta att vi har kommit långt i jämställdhetsfrågan i Sverige och på många punkter har vi det också. Men på andra kan man tro att vi fortfarande lever kvar i 1800-talet. Ett exempel är de svenska teaterscenerna. En stor del av pjäserna som spelas på de statliga scenerna runt om i landet är klassiker, pjäser skrivna i början av 1900-talet och innan. Och rollerna blir därefter.

The purpose of this work is to explore the artistic processes of an ensemble where a musician and one or more dancers play together, either by improvising or by interpreting music that is written for the ensemble. The main themes are about finding ways to work with written material and still keep the communication between the music and the dance alive. The author is also interested in finding ways of identifying himself in the medium of dance although he is a musician. In this paper I'm trying to trace, analyze and emphasize Kathy Acker?s Great Expectations and Alison Knowles?s The Big Book in regard to the books in/finite im/possibilities. I analyze them through historical changes in the books format and structure, especially ones proposed by Mallarmé, Duchamp and Fluxus. To analyze the texts more closely attention is directed to how Acker and Knowles challenge the conventional narrative, in regard to the body and language/voice and sound. I give specific emphasizes to thoughts posted by écriture féminine, while also adding Mara Lee?s temporalities in regard to body resistance and time.

Ever since Thomas More?s book Utopia was published in 1516, theutopian idea has not lost its topicality and has been strongly rootedin literature, art, film and architecture. Utopia can be seen as a statein which utopia allows a space for wishes, dreams and a desire forsomething better. In my degree project I have chosen to explore thehistorical utopian ideas to create a content that treats utopia on asubjective level. With visual communication as a starting point I havetried to fixate this state in a book.

Olika miljöer inbjuder till vissa sätt att föra sig, vissa sätt att välja sina ord och sina samtalsämnen. Det grundläggande syftet med den här studien är att få en fördjupad förståelse för hur en plats påverkar det som är och bildas där: människor, möten och kunskap.Undersökningen är en etnografisk studie som handlar om vad det är som utspelar sig i en bildsal, hur miljön upplevs och erövras av eleverna. Med stöd i kunskapsfilosofiska, i första hand sociokulturella och fenomenologiska teorier, försöker jag att få en större insikt i förutsättningar för lärande, handling, upplevelse och hur platsen inverkar på allt detta.Jag har i uppsatsen arbetat parallellt med text och gestaltning. Mitt material består av intervjuer, fältobservationer och visuellt i form av film, skisser och fotografi. Utgångspunkten i arbetet är att kunskap skapas i mötet och att rummet ger olika möjligheter för aktivitet och möten.Den gestaltande delen av uppsatsen är en undersökning av vad det är som är ett möte och vad dess förutsättningar är.
