VBG Produkter AB is a process-orientated company that develops, manufactures and markets trailer couplings with belonging coupling equipment, protection equipment against skidding and stands for wagon-bridge for heavy vehicles. The company feels that their set-up time in production for couplings is not at an acceptable level. Due to high demands of customer oriented production the intermediate stock level of included products within the assembly of couplings has gradually increased which has resulted in high inventory holding costs. VBG Produkter applies Kanban in their production, therefore it is important to produce exactly the necessary amount and avoid overproduction. The objective of this project is to suggest appropriate solutions so that VBG Produkter is able to reduce their set-up time in assembly of couplings, by identifying internal and external set-up time for the chosen process bushing cell.

In a time when milk producing farm businesses face decline in profitability it is of great importance to examine how the situation can be improved. This thesis is a study off efficiency in milk producing farm businesses represented by Swedish, Dutch and German farms. The aim of this study is to investigate whether any differences exist between companies in these countries. Moreover, the study includes a mapping of a number of factors that determine how efficient milk production can be managed. This mapping is based on a literature review on prior efficiency studies followed by qualitative interviews with milk production advisors as well as a questionnaire sent out to dairy farmers in Sweden.

I uppsatsen undersöks den feministiska filmteorin utifrån ett feministisk perspektiv, för att sammanfatta och klargöra de ståndpunkter som utgör teorin. Fokus är framför allt lagt på sättet kvinnor representeras i film, och hur man kan tolka den kvinnliga närvaron. Diskussion förs angående de mest förekommande perspektiven inom filmteorin, såsom den psykoanalytiska, samt de alternativa perspektiven postkolonial och lesbisk teori, som bidrar till förståelsen av kvinnors representation i film. Resultatet av diskussionerna uppmärksammar både styrkor och svagheter hos teorierna, men visar framför allt hur relevant det är att använda sig av det feministiska synsättet för att öka jämställdheten inom filmbranschen, filmvärlden samt publiken..

Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.

We have in this study preformed a quantitative examination on how hooligans use film and new technologies to spread private videos on the Internet. With today´s technologies it is very easy for hooligans to publish their videos. In this study, we have choosen to do a questionnaire poll based on seven questions about what people think of hooliganviolence on online video sharing sites. We have also conducted an online interview with a former swedish hooligan. The people who participated in our study are all anonymous, and therefore we have no age or gender included in our study.

Abstract Our intent with this study was to find out what changes have been made during the last 30 years in the way that the media reports from certain events. We choose to study the world of football and specially the Swedish national team and it?s relationship to the Swedish television medium in the World Cup of 1974 and the World Cup of 2006. The study mainly focuses on the differences in commentary and in the production from both of the championships. We used Keith Selby and Ron Cowdery?s book How to study television and Mats Ekström and Lars-Åke Larsson?s book Metoder i kommunikationsvetenskap as tools to analyze the games we watched. The result showed that there?s been a lot of changes media wise between the two championships.

Jag har närläst undersökningar där man kan studera hur norm, ideal och avvikelse, både i teorin och i praktiken, genererar normativa identiteter.De resultat jag har sett är att det görs skillnad på pojkar och flickor redan när barnen går på dagis. Denna åtskillnad att tjejer bland annat inte får ta för stor plats i det offentliga rummet eller höras för mycket eller att pojkar inte får bli för "lipiga" tar sin början innan barnen har en möjlighet att ta ställning till begreppen man eller kvinna. This essay examines a small selection of Swedish newsreel and documentary short films, primarily travelogues, produced shortly before and after the second world war. The general aim is to expose differences in the representation of ?The Other? and the ?ethnic Swede? by applying a critical discourse analysis. The purpose is to illuminate how the material positions the latter as the norm and then contextualize this with xenophobic currents that had developed up until the middle of the twentieth century. Theoretical and methodological framework is drawn from the field of cultural studies as well as the nonfiction film.

Vi har, med hjälp av teoretiska tolkningar, tagit reda på faktorer som kan påverka vad människor ser som monster samt hur man kan göra monstret skrämmande på en kognitiv nivå. Exempel på sådana här faktorer är kultur, etnicitet, religion. Även sexism och rasism har en betydelse i detta samband.

This document presents calculations of adjusted GDP based on satellite household accounts for the year 2001 with the purpose to compare adjusted and official GDP for Sweden, Germany, Estonia and Finland. Household production in each country is estimated using time use survey data from Eurostat and a monetary value is estimated using average wage (after taxes) for each country. The results indicate that the value of household production using this methodology increases GDP with between 42% (Finland) and 55% (Germany) compared to official GDP statistics. A comparison of GDP/capita between the countries included in the study shows that the GDP/capita in Germany increases more that the other countries due to the relatively high proportion of time used for household production (mainly German women) combined with a high average wage. In fact, the results show that Germany has higher adjusted GDP/capita than both Finland and Sweden (but Germany has lower GDP per capita when official statistics is used for the comparison).

AbstractSyftet med detta arbete är att ta reda på om Bollywoodfilmer innehåller korta eller långa sekvenser med mindre ingående eller mer ingående sekvenser med religiöst innehåll. Detta har genomförts genom att jag först har skaffat en bakgrundskunskap om filmindustrin Bollywood, om Indien, och om hinduismen.                      För att genomföra undersökningen studerades fem Bollywoodfilmer och alla sekvenser med religiöst innehåll antecknades. Dessa sekvenser analyserades sedan och fick antingen stämpeln kort, mindre ingående eller längre, mer ingående.                       Resultatet blev att antalet sekvenser i filmerna varierar väldigt mycket från film till film. En film kunde innehålla endast kortare mindre ingående sekvenser eller många korta mindre ingående sekvenser och flera längre mer ingående sekvenser. Något som dock påverkade antalet sekvenser i filmerna var speltiden, de längre filmerna innehåller fler sekvenser än de kortare filmerna.Slutresultatet är att de kortare, mindre ingående sekvenserna är klart dominerande i Bollywoodfilmer. Nyckelord: Bollywood, hinduismen, Indien, Tid av glädje tid av sorg, Paheli, Lagaan, Marigold, Devdas..

The demand for environmental assessments on buildings and energy consumption is increasing as well as the energy performance requirements for buildings. At the same time it is increasingly common with self-producers of heat and electricity generation.The main purpose with this master thesis is to investigate how time resolution affects the environmental assessment of energy consumption in office buildings connected to district heating (DH). Environmental assessments were done with both attributional LCA and consequential LCA with system expansion.Fortum´s DH system in Stockholm was analyzed and district heating production was simulated in a Matlab-model. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the production were calculated. The heat demand of the office Gångaren 16 in Stockholm was simulated in IDA ICE.

The aim of this essay is to analyze how food and meals produce and reproduce values and power relations and how these processes are portrayed in Virginia Woolf?s To the Lighthouse. Using sociological writings in the field of food consumption and production I study the structures that affect our relation to food and eating. This perspective is combined with a phenomenological view, aiming to examine how food is perceived, which is also inspired by queer theories. Using the method of close reading, the theories are applied to Woolf?s work.
