Den här studien handlar om hur ett antal lärare använder film och andra multimediala verktyg i engelskundervisningen. En del i undersökningen berör de tillfrågade lärarnas hänvisningar till styrdokumenten och de olika delar av läroplanen de väljer att citera. För att belysa lärarnas syn på olika läromedel innehåller arbetet också en kortare analys av hur man, enligt forskare, bör använda läromedel i skolan idag. I anslutning till debatten kring läromedel och variation av undervisningen diskuteras också lärarnas syn på motivation och elevernas intressen. Lärarnas syn på arbete kring film ses ur ett sociokulturellt perspektiv där samtalets och gruppens betydelse för inlärning diskuteras..

This thesis describes the introduction of Web 2.0 education into Swedish LIS education with emphasis on the driving forces and obstacles in the process. It also discusses the possibilities of estimating the appropriate time for the start of new educational courses introducing new technologies, when it is uncertain if the technologies in question will sustain for a long enough period of time to make the educational effort worthwhile. The data on the Web 2.0 education was collected during the spring of 2010 from the Web pages of the five LIS departments in Sweden, namely Borås, Lund, Umeå, Uppsala and Växjö, as well as by 10 interviews during November and December 2010 with two representatives from each LIS department..The key finding is that Web 2.0 is covered in Swedish LIS education and embracing both practical and theoretical issues. The main driving forces have been both the needs of the profession and an academic research interest. It is concluded that Rogers??S-curves? as described in ?Diffusion of Innovation? can be used as a tool in order to improve the understanding of when to introduce education in new technologies.

Methodology: The study is based on a qualitative case study which was conducted as a participant observation.

According to the Swedish curriculum the education should establish respect for human rights and democratic values (Skolverket, 2011, s.7). The purpose of this study is to investigate how five first grade teachers understand the democracy education and how they practice it in reality. I have, based on the purpose of this study issued following questions:What is the teachers interpretation of the democracy education? How does the teachers work with democracy in practice?What difficulties does the teachers see with the democracy education?This study is made through a qualitative method based on interviews with five teachers. The results show that the teachers at both schools, despite the different definitions of the concept of democracy, yet interprets democracy education relatively equal.

Syftet med denna uppsats handlar om att undersöka och jämföra hur tre svensklärare beskriver sitt arbete med film i svenskämnet och hur de ser på filmens roll i svenskämnet. För att uppnå syftet ställs tre frågor: Hur ser de på film i relation till styrdokumenten och som ett eget textbegrepp? Hur ser de på film i relation till litteratur? Hur ser de på film i relation till ungdomar? Denna studie bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer som gjorts med tre svensklärare på gymnasiet. Intervjuerna har spelats in med diktafon, transkriberats, analyserats och jämförts.     Resultatet visar på att film används för att illustrera en epok eller ett litterärt verk eller som en jämförelse i samband med tematiska arbeten. Två av de tre lärarna beskriver filmens roll i relation till styrdokumenten.

AbstractThe aim of our study was that from a Preschool Manager?s perspective to describe, analyze and understand the function of special education and the Special Education Teacher?s profession within preschools. We conducted twelve interviews with Preschool Managers in two northern Swedish municipalities. From a theoretical base, we used both the relational and categorical perspectives. All answers from these interviews have been analyzed from these perspectives.

This thesis in sociology was based on a qualitative research strategy. Its intention was to analyze how a specific county in the middle of Sweden work to make the integration process of the unaccompanied refugee youths, with a Swedish residence permit, as good as possible, the other intention was to find out the possible following of this work.Interviews were done and statistics were found, this later on became analyzed together with the theories. The basic theories were integration and class theory.The mainly finding in this study was that that the integration of the unaccompanied refugee children leads them into a lower society class of the Swedish community. This since these youth are more of less forced to follow some steps in the education, which for many of them will lead to that they are too old to apply to the national gymnasium in Sweden, and therefore they only get education though the introduction program, which is not leading to a graduation from the gymnasium. Because of this they are not getting the same chances to succeed with the same kind of education as youth on other programs in the Swedish gymnasium..

This degree project documents the meeting of four high-school students with working life before and during the practical training period, which is a mandatory part of the Swedish media curriculum. We looked into practical training, which we qualify as the crossroads between school and working life, from a student?s perspective. We chose to approach the problem theoretically via hermeneutics and we used the case study method for our field research. The foundation of our pre-understanding of the media curriculum?s practical training period lays on previously published research, the study of specialist literature, own experience gained during practical training and teaching experience at high-schools as well as a pre-study we carried out.

Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att fördjupa oss i och undersöka vilka pedagogiska möjligheter spelfilmen har i svenskundervisningen på gymnasiet bland annat genom att intervjua filmkunskapslärare. Vi har jobbat utifrån olika frågeställningar där den viktigaste lyder: Varför är det viktigt att låta det vidgade textbegreppet få större utrymme i svenskundervisningen? Studien genomfördes med åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med svensk- och filmkunskapslärare på fyra olika skolor. En kvalitativ enkätundersökning kompletterade intervjuerna. Huvudresultatet från detta arbete är att filmanvändandet skiljer sig åt på en mängd olika punkter i filmkunskap och svenskundervisningen samt att idag finns i stort sett alla tekniska förutsättningar för film i undervisningen..

This Masters thesis examines the position of films in Swedish public libraries. We have, by way of comparing various statistical data, determined that the status of film in public libraries is week. We have completed earlier research by mapping what genealogical, discursive patterns that could be outlined in the Swedish government reports from 1949 until today, focussing on the activity goals and media policy of the public library. We have, on the basis of Foucaults theories on genealogy and archaeology, where text documents are considered to be meta-descriptions giving each other authority, analyzed if there any discursive excluding or contextual formulations exist in the usage of the language concerning the goals and the media attitude of public libraries. We have mapped contextual discursive formulations that to the commissioners have become neutral starting points for their assumptions and conclusions.

This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the process of selecting films at Bibliotekstjänst and at Swedish public libraries. The tools that have been used for analysing and interpreting the results from the interviews and the questionnaire are theory-based models describing the selection process concerning film and Carl Gustav Johannsen?s quality definitions. The result of the investigation shows that Bibliotekstjänst doesn?t really work with any quality definitions in their selection process.

The purpose of this essay is to illuminate two teachers? communication strategies when dealing with pupils with another first language than Swedish. One of the teachers teaches Swedish as a second language and the other teacher educates one class in most of the subjects such as mathematic, Swedish and social studies. I make an ethnographic study where I make non-participating observations and shorter interviews with the teachers. The observations lie in focus of my study and were made at eight occasions, four lessons with each teacher.My result shows that they have a lot of communication strategies in common, but not all.

Att filmmusiken är en viktig del i en film nog de flesta beredda att hålla med om. Men vad har musiken egentligen för betydelse för hur vi som åskådare upplever film? Med hjälp av två visuellt identiska filmer vars enda skillnad är filmmusiken undersöker jag hur olika typ av musik kan ge en annorlunda upplevelse av samma film. Ett antal personer får ta del av filmerna och svara på frågor i enkätundersökning, vars resultat sammanställs och analyseras. Med hjälp av det slutgiltiga resultatet kan jag avgöra om frågeställningen är besvarad och vad det får för betydelse för forskningen inom ämnet, och inte minst hur man kan bygga vidare på undersökningen för att få en djupare förståelse för filmmusik och hur den påverkar åskådarens upplevelse av film..

Rapporten syftar att redovisa det arbete som är involverat i skapandet av digitala karaktärer lämpade för film och reklamfilmsproduktion. Då Milford Film & Animation i synnerhet producerar reklamfilm kommer fokus i denna uppsats att ligga på denna typ av produktion. Denna rapport kommer huvudsakligen att fokusera på arbetsprocessen som helhet och förklara dess roll i sammanhanget, det vill säga skapandet av en animerad reklamfilm. Poängen är att belysa den roll den ansvariga för karaktärsutvecklingen har, med inriktning på modellering och texturering.
