Road to the Oscars
Detta är vårt C-arbete där vi valde att göra ett sällskapsspel av vår frågeställning. Spelet går ut på att producera en film, den spelare som producerar den bästa filmen vinner Oscar för bästa film och även spelet. När man spelar spelet så lär man sig hur en filmproduktion går till och vilka komponenter som är extra viktiga när det gäller bedömningen för vinnaren av Oscarstatyetten för bästa film..
Uppfattningar bland svenska och finska lärarstudenter
This study sets out to research the effects of perceptions regarding teacher education as well as the teacher profession in general amongst college students studying to become teachers. The aim of the study is to get a better understanding in what perceptions that constitutes the foundation of the aspects that may affect the students of education by interviewing students about how they perceive their education. The study relies on a sociocultural perspective to analyze the data as well as justify the relevance of the study.
The method for researching this will consist mainly of interviews and literature studies. Four students of education, where two are Swedish and two are Finnish, will act as the main source of empiric information.

existerande teorier och metoder för gestaltning av akusmatiska ljud i film.

Titta, språka, problematisera : Hur svensklärare kan arbeta normproblematiserande och språkutvecklande med film som didaktiskt verktyg
Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur fyra svensklärare verksamma inom grundskolan och gymnasiet använder film som didaktiskt verktyg i syfte att normproblematisera och utveckla elevers språk. Metoden som används är semistrukturerad intervju. Resultatet visar att svensklärarna låter sina elever diskutera och reflektera kring vad filmer förmedlar genom både muntliga och skriftliga uppgifter samt övningar av olika slag. De är av åsikten att arbete med film är språkutvecklande och att man kan diskutera många olika aspekter utifrån film. Slutsatsen vi drar är att svensklärare med hjälp av film kan skapa meningsfulla sammanhang som gynnar elevernas utveckling vad gäller språk och medvetenhet kring normer..
Film som intresseväckare eller kunskapsförmedlare? : En undersökning om hur lärare arbetar med film i historieundervisningen
Syftet med undersökningen är att studera hur lärare i ämnet historia resonerar kring användandet av film i undervisningen. Fokus ligger på att undersöka hur lärarna anger att de går tillväga när de gör sitt filmurval och i vilket syfte de uppger att de visar film. Undersökningen syftar också till att ta reda på hur lärarna uppger att de bearbetar filmerna tillsammans med eleverna. Undersökningen har genomförts med hjälp av intervjuer av fyra historielärare från både grundskolan senare del samt gymnasiet. Undersökningen visar att film kan användas för olika syften i undervisningen. Resultatet visar att filmurval och bearbetning av film sker på likartade sätt.

This paper examines whether the American officer?s education at West Point and the Swedish officer?s education at the Military Academy Karlberg have adapted their history of the military art education in accordance to the new requirements of the Armed Forces and its focus on the operational defense. Sweden is evolving towards an operational defense and so is the United States. This in turn requires that training and education keep up with the changes. The National Defense College in Sweden do not focus the teaching of advanced history, which happened beforet he invention of the engine, in the officer?s training program, while the American education is rather advanced, with special focus on events taken place in the 19th century up to the Cold War.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how acquisition of film for children and young adults in public libraries is carried out. The aim is to investigate why the librarians think a library should have film, if the librarians are bound by acquisition policies and where they retrieve information about films. We also want to know where the films are bought, how the distributors are perceived and how the librarians see their own sphere of competence. The thesis is a qualitative study and is based on interviews with children?s librarians in six public libraries.
Minoritetsspråkliga elevers undervisning : En jämförelse mellan svenska och norska styrdokument
Many students in the Swedish and Norwegian compulsory school do not have qualification to search for further education. There is a large part of those pupils who have a different native language than the country?s majority language. These students? possibilities to a fair and equal education is regulated in national laws and regulations of school activity, the so-called governing documents. The purpose of this study is to compare Norwegian and Swedish governing documents regarding education for pupils with another native language.

In the past decades the level of education of the Swedish population has steadily risen. This paper asks questions about the level of education level among members of the Swedish parliament, Riksdagen. The answers are found by studying biographic data over members of parliament between 1971 and 2006. In 1971 a new riksdag, enkammarriksdagen which consists of one ?House?, was founded.
Sydafrikansk film som national cinema : En jämförande analys av ett forskningsfält
The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..
Göteborg International Film Festival Fund - Internationell kulturpolitik och strategiskt utvecklingsarbete
The aim of this research is to examine the Göteborg International Film Festival Fund (GIFFF, 1998?2011) as a part of the festival's overall operations, to provide answers to questions about if/how the Fund can be understood as an expression of the festival's fundamental values, and how the Fund can be recognized within the festival's strategic development. The GIFFF is also discussed in relation to contemporary academic studies that interpret Western film funds for the developing countries ? such as Hubert Bals Fund and Fond Sud Cinéma ? as an expression of Eurocentrism.The investigation is based on the contemporary film festival research, previous academic studies on Göteborg International Film Festival, the festival?s printed material ? such as programs and press releases ? as well as interviews with the former festival director Gunnar Bergdahl, who initiated the Fund, and festival editor Ulf Sigvardson, who ran the Fund during its final years of existence.The conclusions are: The Fund's objectives ? such as to support filmmakers and film schools in the developing countries, and also to screen their films at the festival ? can be seen as a broader interpretation of the vision that was determined by the festival founders, that the festival should be a platform for independent filmmaking and also help screen the films that otherwise would not reach the Swedish audience. Also, the Fund was a significant part of the festival's expansion strategies during the 1990s.

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss education as a state tool in Sweden during the 17th and 18th century. The idea is to contrast the pragmatics of the Swedish education system with the theories of Rousseau and Comenius. The thesis is marked by the thought that theory and application diverse because of the subversive infusion in the ideas of the theoretic.The results shows that it is ultimately a question of public education and its potential. The state recognises the potential of public education but also its dangers and therefore becomes very active in forming not only the education system as a hole but also its pedagogic.

The aim of this two-year masters thesis is to look for the Swedish public library´s core business, using theories about competence. The approach is qualitative. It is done by studying the Unesco Public Library Manifesto, the Swedish library legislation, the education in library and information science, two important Swedish library related journals and by asking public librarians about their work and point of view regarding competence.The research shows mainly two sides of the core competence of public librarians: information technology competence and literature knowledge. The conclusion is that the two meet in the idea of mass education, which could therefore be called the Swedish public library´s core business..
Förutsättningar för naturvetenskap i förskolan : En intervjundersökning om förutsättningar för naturvetenskap i förskolan
The purpose of this study is to examine the conditions for pre-school teachers to achieve those goals that are constituted for science education in the Swedish curriculum for the pre-school. The study questions of formulations are: which importance have the conditions for the work with science education in pre-school, which importance have pre-school teachers engagement and knowledge for the work with science education in pre-school and does the pre-school pre-school teachers think that they have enough conditions to achieve those goals that are constituted for science education in the Swedish curriculum for the pre-school. The results are based on an interview survey with ten pre-school teachers from three pre-schools that are connected in a unit. The interviews were recorded and transcribed. The results from the study points out that the pre-school teachers engagement are most important for the work with science education in pre-school to flourish.
