Ett elevperspektiv.Författare: Katsaras, M och Larsson, T (2007)Examensarbete på lärarprogrammet pedagogik B, 10pSyftet med arbetet är att undersöka och beskriva hur två grupper med gymnasielever uppfattar att film används och har använts i undervisning under sin skoltid. För att få svaren på frågorna skapades två stycken fokusgrupper där varje grupp bestod av fyra till fem elever i årskurs två och tre på gymnasiet. Fokusgrupper kan liknas vid ett gruppsamtal. En grupp kom från ett medieprogram och den andra från ett samhällsvetenskapligt program.

Med denna uppsats har vi velat kombinera våra kunskaper inom filmvetenskapen med våra kunskaper i företagsekonomi, då speciellt marknadsföring. Vi delar upp film efter två olika begrepp, high concept och low concept. Kärnan i high concept är att filmen ska vara säljbar och att handlingen ska vara så enkel att den går att beskriva med ett fåtal ord. Användandet av kända skådespelare samt uppföljare som surfar på tidigare succéer är vanliga knep. De storsäljande Hollywoodfilmerna, även kallade Blockbusters, är ofta i detta format.

Ever since the birth of the film medium, stories about drugs and addiction have been produced. There is a fascination with the lifestyle, the effects of drugs and the ways in which it can be portrayed on the screen. The thesis starts off by giving an historical context, ranging from the late 19th Century and up until today, describing how the society and the public have treated the subject and how the narrative mirrors these attitudes. The purpose of the thesis is to take a closer look at this recurrent theme. Eleven fictional films produced between the 1980?s and 2000?s have been chosen and psychoanalytical film theory is used to analyze the ways in which the addict is represented; how filmic disgust and the abject makes the characters tread over physical and social boundaries and how the effect of the drug have the character tread over mental boundaries through dreams and hallucinations..

Fantasy literature has a rather strong position in countries with an English-speaking population but not in Sweden. The supply of fantasy in Sweden is much smaller than that in for example United Kingdom. Does this affect the Swedish readers of this genre? If it does, how does it affect them? The aim of this thesis is to find out how a few fantasy-reading students at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science get hold of the fiction they want to read and who and/or what influence their decision of which book to read. In order to avoid confusion we are also going to try to find out how they define fantasy since it varies from person to person what is included in the genre.

Internet fungerar som en distributionskanal för illegala kopior av upphovsrättsskyddat material och internationella branschorganisationer tillsammans med en otydlig lagstiftning kämpar för att få bukt med problemet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka betalningsviljan för en streamad bioaktuell film ser ut, samt vilka orsaker som gör att individer väljer att ladda ner en film olagligt. Undersökningen genomfördes som en kvantitativ enkätstudie och innan enkäterna delades ut gjordes en mindre kvalitativ förstudie i ämnet. Anledningen till att individer laddar ner film behöver inte endast bero på priset för dess alternativ, som i vår uppsats är att gå och se en bioaktuell film på bio.

Uppsatsen är en empirisk studie med en kvalitativ undersökning. Uppsatsen fokuserar på elevers audiovisuella förmåga. Dagens skola kräver andra redskap av dig som pedagog än vad gårdagens skola gjorde. En förändring som innebär många nya inlärningsmetoder som både kan vara positiva och negativa då kunskap om dessa kan vara bristfällig. Film är idag ett ledande medialt verktyg som kan användas till att öka elevers historiska kunskaper och intressen.

The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..

This thesis examines Swedish filmmakers' modes of work and production within the Swedish film landscape. An introductory historical overview treats the Swedish regionalization since the mid 1990's. Political and economical aspects of producing films in various regions serve as a background for understanding the new generation of decentralised Swedish filmmaking, and the use of sound and music in contemporary film. The analysis consists of empirical studies; interviews with directors and producers, working with music for film and TV. Although the filmmaking perspective is in focus, composers and film scholars are heard as well.

This thesis aims to examine how teachers who teach the Swedish subject, uses film in their education. The survey was given to 30 of these teachers in Nykoping, half which are working in junior high schools, and half which are working in high schools. Silage has become a big buisiness also in the horse feeding where many of the breeders have changed from the hay to the hay-silage. The difference between regular silage and haysilage is that the hay silage is dryer (60-70%DM). The hay-silage has also put higher demands on machinery and wrapping material since the grass gets sharper and harder to press together real hard. We read different kind of texts every day. We can for example choose to read a book or to watch a film. While we read we can receive and interpret texts. That?s means, for example, that we can have different envisionments about the drama and the film based on it. Based on Langer?s reception theory about ?envisionments?, I?ve wanted to examine and clarify the differences and similarities of envisionments between two texts.

The purpose of this essay has been to investigate the research and national initiatives regarding film and Cineliteracy in the Swedish curriculum.The results show that, after all research, national initiatives and the continual clarification from the Swedish National Agency for Education concerning film's place in the Swedish subject, the vision of students cineliteracy not at all obtain an obvious place in the curriculum.The research points out the main causes behind this result to be teachers' lack of expertise and the fact that the formal education for future teachers in the subject still upholds traditional views on the subject of Swedish.The initiative presented in this essay also show lack of continuity, lack of adequate professional development opportunities for teachers and lack of practical guidance manuals to help teachers to develop and educate their pupils in line with current research and visions. .
