Denna studie är en undersökning av språket kring kön, kropp och kvinnlighet inom samtida svensk gudinnereligiositet, samt en diskussion av förhållandet mellan detta språk och feministiska respektive patriarkala föreställningar och värderingar. Undersökningen bygger på samtal kring symbolen ?Gudinnan? med utövare av gudinnereligiositet. I min studie sätter jag in de analyser som växer fram i samtalen i en större gudinnereligiös och feministisk kontext, samt ställer dem i relation till en nyare, för ämnet relativt oprövad feministisk teori: Donna Haraways poststrukturalistiska, kroppsmaterialistiska feminism.      I studien framkommer det att det gudinnereligiösa språket i hög utsträckning handlar om att benämna sina egna upplevelser, snarare än att uttala sig generellt och objektivt, vilket leder till att en mångfald av perspektiv på Gudinnan, kön, kropp och kvinnlighet framträder parallellt. Samtidigt framkommer dock ett antal perspektiv på Gudinnan, kön, kropp och kvinnlighet som tenderar att bli normativa inom gudinnereligiositeten, vilket till stor del tycks bero på den normativa effekt som skrivet material från traditioner som wicca, new age, jungiansk teori, samt amerikansk feministisk wicca har.

Denna studie erbjuder en litterär analys av gestaltandet av sexualitet i den amerikanske författaren Rymond Carvers novell "So much water so close to home". Analysen lyfter bland annat fram den obligatoriska heterosexualiteten som den teoretiseras av Adrienne Rich och hur manlig kontroll av kvinnans sexualitet inom den heterosexuella institutionen tar sig uttryck i texten.Utöver det undersöks i analysen vilka principer som kan anses ligga bakom konstrueringen av sexualitet i novellen samt hur dessa tar sig uttryck. Den aspekten av analysen tar avstamp i Judith Butlers teori om diskursivt skapade kön och genus samt den heterosexuella matrisen som utgångspunkt för all sexuell åtrå. .

This essay examines the relationships between the different elements in Lisa Jonasson?s collage Existentiell Progg #6 and her very detailed technique. The essay has as its aims to understand and analyze both the details and the wholeness of the artwork and to try to put the collage in an art historical context. The thesis finds that Existentiell Progg #6 has a connection to the imagery of Africa and other collage artist such as Hannah Höch and Nancy Spero, which also gives the paper a perspective of feminism in the arts. The paper continues to create an understanding for the collage work by putting it in to Theodor Adorno?s theories about nature, the human being and the animal kingdom.

This thesis discusses the representation of bodies in todays non-fiction television in Sweden. I have chosen to focus on deviant bodies (sexual, deformed or unhealthy) on display in reality-shows and documentaries on SVT, TV4 but especially on the commercial channels TV3 and Kanal5. Also discussed are the viewers emotional and bodily reactions. Altough these shows are different from one another in many respects, I argue that there is also a common thread between them. From a sociological and cultural perspective, and with help of some historical examples, I try to illustrate how we view these shows and what their function is.

The aim of this master thesis was to measure the terminological consistency when indexing fiction. The study included ten participants, five librarians and five patrons who indexed two novels in three steps. Besides calculating the terminological consistency a typified index based on the term frequency was created.Subject heading list Att indexera skönlitteratur was used as a controlled vocabulary and to calculate the consistency the asymmetrical formula was used.The result showed that the study produced relatively high consistency values compared to other studies. The subject heading list increased the consistency value for all of the participants, for the patrons the increase was substantial. The librarians produced higher consistency values compared to the patrons in almost every step and they had in percentage lower amount of terms used only once..

The purpose of this thesis is to examine adults? fictionreading habits. The focus is finding out what differencesexist between men and women to study the significance offiction to readers. The study is based on a questionnairesurvey with men and women coming in to a public library.We used Sten Furhammar?s reading dimensions andcategories to describe the importance of the respondentsreading experience and describe the ways that men andwomen read.Our result shows that the genres men and women prefer arenovels, detective stories/thrillers and biographies.

This essay is about "factionstexter", a combination between fact and fiction, and the problems that can occur when reading them. I present previous resarch on this subject and I focused on docu drama and dramadoc. Bo G Jansson is the researcher I used most frequently in this essay. BAKGRUND: Under vår tid här på Högskolan i Borås har vi läst mycket omskönlitteratur i svenskämnet i relation till meningsfullt och lustfylltlärande. Bilden som vi tycker är vag i detta sammanhang är hurpedagogerna arbetar med skönlitteratur. Därför tyckte vi att det voreintressant att undersöka samt försöka göra bilden tydligare. Vi harfunnit mycket forskning inom området vilket vi redogör för ibakgrunden.SYFTE: Vårt syfte är att undersöka variationen av hur skönlitteratur användsav pedagoger i undervisning för grundskolans tidigare år.METOD: Vi har valt att utföra vår undersökning med hjälp av redskapet selfreport.RESULTAT: Vår undersökning visar att det finns en bred variation i pedagogernasbeskrivningar om hur de använder sig av skönlitteratur. Främstanvänder sig pedagogerna av högläsning och tyst läsning men även avskönlitteratur som material för att integrera olika skolämnen för atteleverna ska få en djupare kunskap..

Sweden has an active and growing culture of feminist comic book artists that use comedy as a mean of disseminating political ideas and critic. In this essay I do a reparative reading of Sara Granér?s comic book All I Want for Christmas is planekonomi in order to find out if it advocates alternative orders and/or ways of expression. By exploring what the comic book does to me as a reader and how, using the term ?skev? ? a hybrid of queer that examines normativity not strictly tied to sexuality ? and gulesque theory ? a mix of feminism, cuteness, the grotesque and riot grrrl ?, I show that the comic book, through the use of comedy, works as a trojan My Little Pony, reclaiming the girly franchise, while challenging several so-called dichotomies, such as: femininity/masculinity; youth/adult; high art/kitsch.

The main aim of this study is to analyse the grotesque characterization of adults in four novels by Roald Dahl, from Michail Bachtin?s definition of the carnival-grotesque in Rabelais and his world. From this view I have examined how the conflict between children and adults is described in these books, and to what extent the grotesque motifs have a function in this conflict.For this purpose I have applied theories of the literature-grotesque by Michail Bachtin, and of the meaning and function and ? in this context ? the necessity of fright and horror in children?s fiction, in particular by Bruno Bettelheim and J.A. Appleyard.

Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka några lärares syn på vilket syfte skönlitteraturen i engelskundervisningen uppfyller samt hur de bearbetar den. Undersökningen begränsades till en högstadieskola i en kommun i sydöstra Skåne. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer. Ytterligare information har erhållits från tidigare forskning, litteratur och Internet. Resultatet visar att ordinlärning är det syfte som får mest uppmärksamhet på grund av att alla lärare har svarat det.

The aim of this study is to study the construction of literary values. I have been looking at how literature awarded with sponsored literary prizes has been reviewed in four major English and American newspapers. I have been studying the reception of literature by Ian McEwan, Hilary Mantel, Colm Tóibín and Zadie Smith between 2000 and 2012. The prizes in focus are the Man Booker Prize, the Orange prize for fiction and the Costa Awards. There seems to be an increasing number of articles related to each author after they have been awarded a prize, however with little change in the content of the reviews.
